Democratic Revolution: We have a Mandate!
The Big Blue Hammer has fallen. A storybook ending to a trying, vicious, battle of wits and intellect. The better equipped side has won.
The politics of division is gone. The American people have made their voices loud and clear, "we've had enough lies and failure".
Now that America has told the Republican party to kick rocks, there is much at hand. We have to bring our troops home in timely fashion, we must achieve affordable health care for all (free for all children), and we must muzzle the Right-Wing fringe.
There are, unfortunately, still some very twisted, depraved people here in District 1 that saw fit to vote for the likes of David Davis. How people can be so foolish I will never know.
In the face of an overwhelmingly Democratic majority in the House, the likes of David Davis will be completely and totally useless. This new Congress won't give an extremist jackass like Davis the time of day, much less a nice committee seat. Davis will do nothing for District 1. Look for him to end up on some Fishing License committee or some shit like that for his one term. :D
Rick Trent would have gotten things done. Now once again, NE Tennessee will languish in poverty and exploitation until Davis can be removed.
Thanx to all those good citizens who voted for Rick Trent and Kevin Smith. You did the right thing both fiscally and morally. It's not our fault two thirds of the people in our communities care more about money and religious fundamentalist extremism than they do God and Country.
Rick Trent and Kevin Smith, We salute and thank you for your tremendous efforts on behalf of our families and our state. God bless you both.
Aside from our area, the National picture couldn't look brighter. The Republicans are gone from the House and they'll soon be gone from the Senate as soon as Macaca Boy Allen realizes he's done.
Donald Rumsfeld is gone and we can thank God on behalf of our troops for that. George W. Bush is on his knees where he belongs.
This is our show now.
Time to solve the Republican created problems, then start putting ex-congressmen in jail.
