Saddam is Murdered, the Evil Rejoice.
The new Bush Administration/Right-Wing Republican Culture of Death is in full swing. Newspaper and TV headlines gleefully trumpet the news of the Hanging of Saddam Hussein like the world had been saved from it's ultimate demise.
Saddam was a bad man. Did he commit the crimes he was accused of? That's debatable.
The real issue is why would Americans seem overjoyed about the results of a trial that was not, and was never intended to be, fair? Do we as a nation now rejoice in injustice, carnage, and the demise of decency? Do we no longer care about what's true? Is it now enough for us to entertain ourselves with the blood of those we presume to be guilty?
Allowing Kurds and Shiites to try Saddam is like allowing Nazis to try Jews. The trial was a front for the Bush family plan to murder Saddam Hussien.
I was in Kuwait in 1980 when Saddam first massed troops on the border to defend against Iran. I was close enough to see the tanks.
He allowed all Americans to leave and protected our departure (this was not the actual invasion which came ten years later).
This was the man that was given the Key to the city of Detroit for his generous financial assistance to a Christian Church. Saddam was very fond of Christians. This was the man who singlehandedly kept Islamofascist Radicals down for decades and Iraq flourished as a result. The exact same Islamic Radicals that have killed our troops and now rule Iraq.
The man was not completely innocent, but he certainly wasn't the murderer he was made out to be. There is still no hard evidence that he gassed the Kurds. The word going around that part of the world at the time (1988) was that Iran had hidden chemical weapons in Kurdish villages and standard ordinance caused the tragedy. Iran and certain Kurdish allies who were intent on the overthrow of the pro-American Saddam and his open, pro-western society in Iraq had been threatening Iraq for many years.
The Iranian Shiite Islamofascist Extremists that Saddam killed were plotting and had attempted several times to assassinate Saddam. They got what they asked for. It was self defense, not murder.
Saddam came to power in 1968 and as an enemy of Islamofascist Iran found favor with the US government.
Donald Rumsfeld and his friend Saddam

After being stabbed in the back by George HW Bush, Saddam saw the Bush family and the US government to be the lying dogs we all now know they are.
The following link contains a transcript of Saddam's dialogue with April Glaspie, then US Ambassador to Iraq.
GLASPIE: I think I understand this. I have lived here for years. I admire your extraordinary efforts to rebuild your country. I know you need funds. We understand that and our opinion is that you should have the opportunity to rebuild your country. But we have no opinion on the Arab-Arab conflicts, like your border disagreement with Kuwait.
It's a shame, and rather disgusting that our government would create Saddam, encourage his "atrocities", then call him the bad guy and engineer his murder the way they have.
Dealing in death is the nature of the beast. The Bush Administrations fit the mold of "beast" as well as any fascist regime in history. Now that they have murdered a man for no other reason than personal family revenge they fit the Satanic mold even better than before.
Ah yes, the Right-Wing Evangelical Culture of Death rears it disgusting heads yet again and America is morally and spiritually poorer for it.
So while all you sick, twisted wretches revel in the death of a man tried and condemned in a Kangaroo court established by the Bush regime, consider two things...
1) If Saddam "got what war criminals deserve", how long until Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and all of the PNAC
war criminals enjoy the same fate? If one deserves it, all do.
2) Where's Osama Bin Laden? Remember him? The one who masterminded the attacks on NY on Sept. 11, 2001?
So was it fun? To see a video of a falsely accused man executed? Did it turn you on in some twisted way?
Perhaps the ghoulishness of wanting to take a peek can be excused (no one at TN420 saw the vid and we refuse to look at it), but if you weren't sickened by the vision of a genuine snuff flick, you should do the world a favor and go hang yourself. You are no longer human.
May God damn George W. Bush and all of his followers to Hell where they belong.
