As we approach the time of giving and receiving that we normally refer to as Christmas or the "Holidays", and as we sit around the nice, warm dinner table or the pretty, glistening Christmas Tree with the seasonally packaged Mao-Mart goods and stockings hung by the chimney with care...

Keep in mind that for many, there's nothing "Merry" or "Happy" about it.

So, this is Christmas. The joy that it brings...

...the toasts that we toast, and the songs that we sing...

...thoughts of our loved ones and friends that we cherish...

...we pray that our hope and our dreams will not perish...

...we see then our children, our bundles of joy. We pray that their future will not be destroyed...

...we long for a time when they're all free to roam...

...we ask God why some never come home...

...often we wonder "what's it all for"...

...the how's and the why's and how many more?...

...yes, this is Christmas, let glad tidings display...

...may the good Lord protect us on our path to decay.
