Roll it Up!

You gotta love it. The boy can rant.
And as per usual, Keith Olberman is spot on….

This particular “Special Comment” struck me as being as heart felt as any. Personally, I have a problem with Keith trying to give Hillary an open door to walk out of on the race issue, but he has his feelings and I have to respect them. He is a big fan of the Clintons.

Keith goes off on Geraldine Ferraro like he usually goes off on Bush and Cheney, and well he should. In a blistering indictment of the Republican Lite of the Democratic party Keith explains that Ferraro is a disgusting person and always has been. Her racist commentary goes back decades and is largely the kind of rhetoric that reflects ignorance more than racial pride or political hate.
The Comment is not a condemnation of Hillary Clinton, it’s a call to her from someone who presumably is a friend to denounce strongly the hate speech of Ferraro. Something she has not done.
It’s a well earned condemnation of Hillary’s campaign staff which may be the worst excuse for a supporting cast since Men Without Hats made the Safety Dance video.
Don’t get me wrong. I personally believe that Hillary has lost this race on her own demerit, but Keith’s point still has much validity. She has not stood up and asserted with clarity and conviction that the America of the Democratic Dream is no place for petty judgment of others based on anything other than individual merit.
She is simply not reinforcing the hope for tomorrow.

Keith also mentions something I’ve alluded to in many postings both here and on other blogs, there is a pattern of activity and speech that suggests an arrogant, selfish, holier-than-thou attitude about both Clintons and especially their vile staff. Penn, Billy Boy, Terry Mcauliffe, Ferraro…
These people know only politics as usual and any fool can see that this country is tired of exactly that.
The politics of personal destruction don’t work as well as they did before.

So thanx, Keith. Your clarity, as usual, is most refreshing.

Now if you could tell Obama to stuff a sock in his Preacher’s mouth, that would be good too. ;)

Following her comments of the last two weeks, Senator Hillary Clinton should abandon her Presidential Campaign. In fact she should probably resign her Senate seat. Endorsing the Republican candidate over Senator Obama and casting aspersions on Senator Obama's patriotism and religion are tactics we expect from certain Republican political advisers. We do not expect them someone who would ask us to vote for her for President.

A petition made by Obama supporters to be sent to the DNC
stating that if Senator Clinton becomes the Democratic Nominee for
the presidential election, you will either:
a) abstain from voting in the general election
or
b) a third-party-candidate during the general election.

That's interesting, Sisco. But I don't think I can sign on to this particular effort and I'll gladly explain why.

1) If Hillary wins the majority of delegates then she is the nominee fair and square. I fail to see what can be accomplished by such a petition.
The DNC will not be making the decision, the voters will.

Now in the event that Obama wins the majority of the Pledged Delegates, and the Supers step on the people's will then yes, the DNC should be advised that such a thing could happen.

2) I really don't think all that much of Barack Obama, it's just that a Clinton is as unacceptable as a Bush in my eyes. Hillary is pro-war no matter what lies she tells about it tomorrow. She is anti-privacy as her support for the Patriot Act, the Real ID and her no-show for the last Senate "eavesdropping immunity" vote clearly shows.
She will have another chance to vote on the new House measure that denies telecom immunity and keeps Bush and the NSA accountable for their crimes.

I hope she votes for the constitution instead of against it for once.

But I'm not going to withhold my vote from the Democratic party just because my candidate didn't win. I'm going to vote third party if the Super Delegates shit on my vote, or if anyone named Bush or Clinton is involved.
It has nothing to do with Obama himself. He's far, far from perfect. He's just new blood and that's what's most important in the long run. Freedom from Oligarchy. No one named Bush, no one named Clinton. That's priority one in my book.

Yes, she should quit the race as she cannot win. Yes, her endorsement of McBush is disgusting but I already knew she was one of them long ago so I wasn't surprised.

She is a disgrace, but the people must be obeyed. Whoever wins the delegates wins the primary. Anything else is not Democracy.
