The breach of security concerning Barack Obama’s passport records has reached to an Arlington, VA company known as Stanley, Inc.

Smile, Stanley! You’re now public information. :>>

From MSNBC:

By Jim Popkin and Libby Leist, NBC News

Two of the government contractors who allegedly took a peek at Sen. Barack Obama’s passport records worked for a Virginia-based firm called Stanley, Inc., according to U.S. government officials with knowledge of the State Department passport controversy.

Stanley, Inc., is headquartered in Arlington, Va. The State Department awarded it a contract for $164 million in 2006. The contract called for Stanley to print and mail millions of new U.S. passports. Stanley announced on Monday that it was awarded an additional $570 million contract to “continue support of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs/Passport Services Directorate.”

NBC News contacted a Stanley, Inc., spokeswoman this afternoon, and informed her that two sources had confirmed that employees at her firm were involved with the scandal. The spokeswoman would only comment: “We’ve been directed by the State Department to direct all media calls to them.”

Cool, now who is Stanley? This stuff is kinda like Find Waldo, ya know?

Well, Stanley Inc is a fairly big player. Just another sleazy contractor in the tradition of Blackwater, Halliburton, etc.
And Oh my, a $570 Million Contract to Continue Support of Passport Program. Imagine that…

Over 15-Year History of Providing Passport Services Continues

ARLINGTON, Va., March 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ – Stanley, Inc. (NYSE: SXE), a leading provider of systems integration and professional services to the U.S. federal government, today announced that it was awarded a five-year, $570 million contract to continue support of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs/Passport Services Directorate. Services include production, operational and business process support training, procurement, administration and evaluation of critical supplies, and facilities management support at the four Passport Centers and 14 Passport Agencies nationwide along with the Headquarters’ support offices.

Hmmmm, what have we here?….

The company began its relationship with the Department of State in 1992 when it assisted in establishing the National Passport Center in Portsmouth, N.H. Since that time, Stanley has expanded its services to support passport operations at all 18 locations nationwide.

1992? Before or after a Clinton took over the White House? Shortly before?

Getting interesting….
