“Sarah Barracuda” is the Pig VP choice. Imagine that.
Miss Congeniality and Mr. Cantankerous running for Prezzy. Look at the bright side, she can swish down the runway at the GOP Convention in her evening wear and participate in the swimsuit competition the next day.
“Hi, my name is Sara! I like puppies, walks in the park, and minivans!”
Yep, ol’ Johnny saw those jugs and it was Veep at first sight. Though there are certainly other reasons why McSame would choose and absolute nobody for a VP, aren’t there?
This is even funnier than I anticipated.
1) Token Fem? You don’t say. What a waste, the PUMAtards were going to vote for him anyway.
2) For a campaign that was so critical of “Obama’s Exeprience” they sure lowered the bar by picking a Yuppie-Scum Soccer Mom from a town with three and a half people in it.
3) She might be the only Repig Female with all her teeth.
4) I guess the McLame camp forgot that there was going to be a Vice Presidential debate. Against Joe Biden.
This is just too sweet. McIdiot is sold on the premise that Democratic women will vote for a female just because she’s a female. McCain/PUMA will be very surprised at the political resolve of Democratic women when he and Betty Boop are congratulating President Obama on his victory.
Was really worried that he would pick a formidable foe. Now it’s all good.
What a couple these two will make.
Wonder how Cindy feels about it. I can see the drama coming now. Keep your crusty old hands to yourself, Johnny Boy.
…"the professor and Mary Ann, here on Gilligan’s Isle"……

Palin, honestly, is a far cry from the neocon vermin that the Republican Party is famous for, but a Republican she is. And therein lies the problem.
Obama/Biden in a fucking landslide.

First there was Jim “Al Qaida” Adkisson in Knoxville, TN. Then Timothy “Taliban” Johnson murdered a Democratic official in Arkansas. Now Three or four sorry-assed wastes of life have been caught in a plot to assassinate Barack Obama during his acceptance speech at the Democratic Convention in Denver.
As we wrote before, it will get worse before it gets better…
From CBS Denver:
Subsequently authorities went to the Cherry Creek Hotel in Glendale to contact an associate of Gartrell’s. But that man, identified as Shawn Robert Adolph, 33, who was wanted on numerous warrants, jumped out of a sixth floor hotel window. Law enforcement sources say Adolph broke an ankle in the fall and was captured moments later. Sources say he had a handcuff ring and was wearing a swastika, and is thought to have ties to white supremacist organizations.
Nathan Johnson, 32, an associate of Gartrell and Adolph, was also arrested Sunday morning. He told authorities that the two men had “planned to kill Barack Obama at his acceptance speech.”
“He don’t belong in political office. Blacks don’t belong in political office. He ought to be shot,” Johnson told Maass.
“Do you think they were really plotting to kill Obama?” Maass asked.
“I don’t want to say yes, but I don’t want to say no,” he said.
Tharin Gartrell, Shawn Robert Adolph,
Nathan Johnson.
Just look at these vermin.

Interesting that I had just told our “friend", R.Neal at KnoxViews, that he should be wary of his surroundings while reporting from Denver. Of course, we didn’t even get a “thanks for the heads up” or anything. But as long as no one is hurt all is well.
Nice
Submitted by Konalanche (not verified) on Sat, 2008/08/23 - 11:58pm.You know, Neal. Weed is decriminalized within the Denver city limits.
Enjoy.
Though I must say I’m disappointed that you didn’t at least try to run over Blitzer. Ah well, maybe next time.
Also, be on your guard. Right Wing Republican Terrorism is alive and well in America as you Knox folks know all too well.
Seriously, Neal. Be careful.
There will be more.
Alex Jones Wipes His Ass With Malkin In Denver
Oh God….this is so fucking beautiful. Alex Jones may be a nutter to a degree, but after this extraordinary display of truth and Badass Liberal guts he’s really, really earned the respect of TN420 in a very big way.
He even called Malkin’s bodyguard a punk.
The decrepit, diseased harlot, Michelle Malkin, had written in her book that she advocated interning American citizens in concentration camps.
The good Dr., Alex Jones, found the traitorous skank at the Democratic Convention in Denver. He gave her more than just a piece of OUR mind.
And amusing it is…..

Nice work, Barack. Of all the quality, first-class Democrats you had to choose from you pick Biden? Is that tie cutting of the blood from your pencil neck to your empty head?
Well, now we have it. Joe “Mr. Rave Act” Biden will finally find the White House after so many years of floundering Senatorship. Such a poor decision in so many ways.
Senator Biden, a DLC stooge and AIPAC kiss-ass, is going to accompany the most exciting candidate we’ve seen in three decades into battle with the most pathetic candidate we’ve seen in eight years.
And Biden’s credibility is what, virtually graveyard dead? That’s being kind.
As a member of the DLC (Democratic Liar’s Club) Joe Biden displays all the spineless, ass kissing, boot licking characteristics of his fellows Harold Ford Jr. and Al From.
Biden Facts:
Joe Biden is the ultimate DC insider which is in no way, shape or form “Change".
Joe Biden has attacked freedom and choice in the past while pandering to the Right.
Joe Biden plagiarized one of his speeches and a paper during college as well…
Joe Biden’s history of plagiarism and “stressless scholarship” gave plenty of ammo to his enemies, one of them choosing to circulate a so-called “attack video” to demonstrate Biden’s outright plagiarism of a British politician’s speech. But this appropriation from Neal Kinnock was not the first occurrence of unacknowledged lifting by the senator from Delaware.
In 1965 Biden plagiarized while writing a paper as a student at the Syracuse University Law School in a legal methods course which he failed because of that copied paper. Such “stressless scholarship” as it is euphemistically called has become all too common in the modern Internet era with countless cheatsites and “research services” offering to sell students papers on topics from A to Z.
Joe Biden made no substantial effort to stand up to the Bush Regime and has not condemned their crimes with any sincerity.
Joe Biden is so boring it hurts.
Ugh…

This was a poor, poor pick for VP all things considered.
But I will vote for the Obama/Biden ticket.
And I’ll give you two reasons….
1) 1000 Joe Biden’s couldn’t even come close to being as pathetic and embarrassing as John McCain.
2) The ticket is Clintonless.
One thing I have to consider is that there is some good that will come from this circus. Biden’s entry spells the final nail in the Clinton coffin.
Billary is not going to be Prez, VP, or anything else.
Bill and Hillary Clinton are history. That can only be a victory for this party and the nation.
So, Barack. In spite of this bone-head stunt you just pulled, you did have the courage to tell Hillary to kick rocks. For that reason alone you will have my vote in November.
But rest assured, if you don’t keep that DLC monkey on a very short leash, this is one blogger that will turn on you like a cornered animal and never remove my fangs from your black ass.
Best of luck.

Outstanding. One has to be happy with the results of the Saddleback Forum where John McShitbird and Barack Obama faced off in front of an assload of seudo-Christian hypocrites.
Obama lost, thank God!
As McCain and Obama answered questions, bright lights in the face, about whether or not they espouse the unwavering, fear inspired, absolute rule of the American Taliban, McCain was poised with puckered lips to kiss the holier-than-thou asses of the dregs of Christian society. Obama just told it like it is.
Most of the outrage from the Mullahs is aimed at Obama’s spot-on repudiation of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Thomas, a complete and total illiterate moron and socially dysfunctional Right-Wing brown noser, is a hero of his mentally challenged Conservative ilk. Standing against freedom at every turn.
Obama simply stated the truth and made no effort to kiss Taliban ass…
From some Taliban Site:
When asked to name a Supreme Court justice he would not have appointed, Obama named Clarence Thomas.
“I don’t think that he was a strong enough jurist or legal thinker at the time for that elevation, setting aside the fact that I profoundly disagree with his interpretations of a lot of the Constitution,” Obama said.
Barack Obama vs Satan

Truth in the face of the Devil! You gotta love it. Especially if you’re a real Christian.
I would have loved to be there just to see the shock on the faces of the vermin when they got themselves owned on the topic.
Facing all that ignorance and self-indulgent sanctimonium must have filled Barack Obama, a Christian more in the tradition of Jesus than any of those in attendance, with foreboding.
But still, with head high, Obama stood by the truth of Christ which is peace and love, not the death and dementia the Taliban would have the nation become engulfed in for four more years.
The Saddleback Taliban Forum test. The “litmus” by which the candidates are judged according to the Taliban’s perception of a religion they have hijacked for gain or simply don’t comprehend.
Obama lost to McCain. Now we know that Barack Obama is the right man for the job.
What is anti-Taliban (Barack Obama) can only be good for America. What is pro-Taliban (John McBush) can only do us harm.
Thanx for standing up to the evil, Barack. If only people like McCain had your courage and convictions.

Former Congresswoman, Presidential Candidate Cynthia McKinney Makes Campaign Stops in TN
The Green Party of TN is honored to host Ms McKinney as she visits 4
communities across the state this week. “From community problems like
landfill issues in Dickson to community solutions like the Biofuels plant
in Memphis and community gardens in Nashville Ms McKinney will get to talk
to people who are impacted and those with community-based solutions, a
Green Party Key Value”, said Katey Culver Green Party of TN Co-chair.
Wednesday, August 20th McKinney will make 3 stops in Memphis.
That evening she will be in Jackson, Tennessee for a fundraiser hosted by
the Madison County Green Party.
Thursday, August 21st McKinney’s first stop is in Dickson to meet with
representatives of the community who have been affected by the dumping of
toxic waste in their community. Then to Nashville for an 11:00 AM Press
Conference in Room 31, Legislative Plaza speaking to the press about her
campaign. This event is open to the public. Following the press
conference Ms McKinney will speak directly to the public and take
questions. This will also be in Legislative Plaza, Room 31.
That morning Greens will turn in their nominating petitions to secure her
position on the general election ballot in Tennessee. “Due to
Tennessee’s oppressive election access laws Ms McKinney will be listed
on the ballot as an independent candidate which we can achieve with 275 valid
signatures. It would take over 45,000 valid signatures to get her listed
with the “Green” affiliation. The Green Party is currently a litigant
against the state seeking ballot access laws that are fair”, said John
Miglietta a delegate to the Green Party of the US and a Green Candidate
for US House District 5.
Following the Press Conference she is scheduled to visit Tennessee State
University, Fisk University and Carver Food Park where Sizwe Herring of
EarthMatters Tennessee teaches children and community members about the
value of composting and principles of ecology.
Cynthia McKinney in her Chicago acceptance speech indicated why she had
chosen to go Green, saying, “In 2008, after two stolen Presidential elections and
eight years of George W. Bush, and at least two years of Democratic Party
complicity, the racket is about war crimes, torture, crimes against the
peace; the racket is about crimes against the Constitution, crimes against
the American people, and crimes against the global community. The racket
is even about values that we thought were long settled as reasonable to
pursue, like liberty and justice, and economic opportunity, for all.”
As the Green Party candidate, issues of environmental and racial justice will
highlight her Tennessee visit. “Cynthia has chosen to visit people and places
that the Democrats and Republicans would would rather forget, such as
the victims of environmental racism in Dickson, Tennessee. I think this is why
Cynthia is the best choice this election season, because it is clear that she is
the people’s candidate,” said Chris Lugo Green candidate for the US Senate.

Do we have another Jim Adkisson?
Has Right Wing Republican Terrorism struck yet again?
When commenting on the Right Wing Terrorist, Jim Adkisson, we wrote…
I caution against assuming that this will be the last.
We’re not 100% sure at this point as all the facts are not yet in. But this is looking more and more like yet another act of Republican Right Terrorism like that which we saw in Knoxville.
Just waiting for more info, meanwhile, all real Americans be on your guard.
Democratic Party Chairman Bill Gwatney was shot at the State Democratic Party Headquarters in Little Rock, Wednesday. His condition is unknown.
From the ADP:
Arkansas Democratic Party Chairman Shot at State Headquarters
Reported by: KNWA StaffWednesday, Aug 13, 2008 @12:45pm CST
According to our sister station in Little Rock, A suspect is reported to be in custody after a police chase outside Little Rock after shots rang out late Wednesday morning at the State Democratic Party headquarters, sending one person to the hospital in critical condition.
Rep. Steve Harrelson says that witnesses inside the building told him that the person shot is Party Chairman Bill Gwatney, but there’s no official confirmation of that information.
Police were on the scene within minutes at 1300 West Capitol.
KNWA will update you as soon as more information becomes available.
UPDATE 1:
Arkansas Times
…At a briefing less than an hour after the shooting, police said the shooter left in a blue pickup. The truck was discovered close by. The man apparently changed to another car, which police were able to identify. A chase ensued and it ended in Sheridan, where police say the suspect was shot and taken into custody. His condition is unknown. The police had no indication of motive. Several Democratic employees were in the office at the time and were being questioned about what they’d seen.
The chase ended near the Winston Clinic on the northern edge of Sheridan in a developed portion of town. There were conflicting reports about whether police fired shots during the chase or after the car left the highway into an open field. Authorities were still swarming that scene in Sheridan at 1 p.m. A police spokesman said the man was airlifted from the scene.
Gwatney’s secretary made the 911 call from a florist shop next door. She was heard to tell the police dispatch: “Help, our chairman’s been shot.”
The shooter was described in the phone call as a man in his 40s, with whitish hair and wearing khaki pants.
Police may have picked up the shooter’s trail because he threatened someone with a gun nearby. Reports were that a man with a gun confronted a building manager in the Arkansas Baptist State Convention office building a few blocks east of Democratic headquarters and said he’d lost his job. He pointed the gun, but didn’t shoot. He fled in a vehicle whose description was reported to police.
Gov. Mike Beebe was en route by plane to Northwest Arkansas when the shooting occurred. He got word and returned to Little Rock. He was with the Gwatney family at UAMS…
UPDATE 2:
ArkTimes
Arkansas State Democratic Party Chair Bill Gwatney was fatally wounded at State Democratic Party Headquarters on Capitol Avenue about 11:50 a.m. today.
The suspected shooter was also fatally wounded in a shootout with police after a 30-mile chase into adjoining Grant County, a Little Rock police spokesman said. Various police sources identified the shooter as Timothy Dale Johnson, 50, of Searcy, but the police weren’t officially confirming that and there were no indications of his possible motive. His next of kin were reached to make a positive identification and police were reluctant to release an ID that, though indicated by evidence he carried, might prove to be erroneous.
“Searcy” is a Republican heaven.
A Democratic Official has been assassinated by a Republican.
UPDATE 3:
Associated Press - August 13, 2008 9:23 PM ET
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas authorities say the man who shot and killed the head of the Arkansas Democratic Party had no criminal record.
Police in Little Rock say they have no motive for the fatal shooting of state Democratic party Chairman Bill Gwatney. He was wounded at party headquarters and died four hours later.
The gunman has been identified as 50-year-old Timothy Dale Johnson. Police say that moments after the shooting, he pointed a handgun at the building manager at the nearby the Arkansas Baptist headquarters. Johnson is said to have told the manager, “I lost my job.” Johnson was killed after a chase and shootout.
Gwatney, a 48-year-old former Arkansas state senator, had been planning to travel to the Democratic National Convention as a superdelegate. He had backed Hillary Rodham Clinton but endorsed Barack Obama after she dropped out of the race. Clinton and former President Clinton issued a statement praising Gwatney’s work and calling him “a cherished friend and confidant.”
UPDATE 4:
From the Associated Press
Timothy Dale Johnson: Right Wing Terrorist

Man fired from job kills Ark. Democratic chairman
By ANDREW DeMILLO – 1 hour ago
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Police and neighbors are struggling to explain why a man described as a loner drove more than 30 miles to Arkansas’ Democratic Party headquarters and fatally shot its chairman hours after losing his job.
Police said Timothy Dale Johnson, 50, of Searcy, barged into Bill Gwatney’s office on Wednesday and shot him multiple times. There were no signs that Gwatney and Johnson, who was later shot dead by officers, knew each other.
A Target store in Conway fired Johnson early Wednesday because he had written graffiti on a wall, police said. A Target statement Thursday said Johnson “voluntarily quit” and did give any details.
Target said Johnson was an hourly employee at the Conway store, who had “no history of behavioral or performance problems at Target.”
“In the preceding days, he worked his regularly scheduled shifts without incident,” the company said in a statement.

No More Drilling on Public Lands
President Bush and the McCain campaign are beating a dead horse these days and it is called the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. They want you to believe that we must squeeze the last bits of oil out of the earth, wherever we can find it, and we need to start right here at home by destroying our last remaining wild refuge and devastating our coastal wetlands in the name of boosting corporate oil profits. The right wing echo chamber has taken up the cause celeb, and candidates across the country can be heard ringing the bells of freedom for the global oil market.
Developing our remaining public lands for oil and natural gas is a waste of time and resources. The industry already leases 44 million acres of land for oil and gas development, and to date they have not used almost 30 million acres of public land. In addition, drilling in our most fragile wild spaces is a slap in the face to the environment and future generations who will judge us on the basis of how we cared for and exercised responsible stewardship of the natural resources of the planet.
The time will come when there will be no more oil to drill and we have already reached far beyond the point where we must begin to invest in sustainable alternatives to oil, such as biofuels, solar and wind power as our primary sources of energy production. Drilling in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge is like using a garden hose to put out the forest fire. Clearly we need to develop new strategies and begin to invest in a sustainable energy infrastructure not dependent on the burning of fossil fuels. The scientific evidence has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that global warming is real and we are the source of the problem. It is time to become part of the solution.
The oil and gas industry already has plenty of access to public lands in the United States. It is up to us to protect our coastal beaches and marshlands from environmental devastation. It is up to us to lock up ecologically sensitive regions in Alaska, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico and Colorado before they are destroyed forever. There is no clear evidence that drilling on our remaining public lands will lead to a decrease in oil prices. In fact, oil prices are going to continue to rise regardless because global demand is far outstripping supply. The only real solution is to begin to invest in our alternative energy infrastructure and develop green solutions to the global energy crisis. We face a real challenge in the years ahead, but we can begin to make the right choices now by saying no to continued drilling in environmentally sensitive regions.

“THE DEMOCRATS CROSSED OVER AND MADE ME LOSE!”
That’s right, scumbag. That’s exactly what happened.
![]()

As I wrote here previously, TN420 successfully solicited 116 pledges from Liberals of all stripes (mostly here in Bristol) to vote in the Republican primary for your challenger…whatsisname…
Whoever. It matters not.
Combine my people and those who took the initiative themselves, we put you out to pasture. Right where you and your ilk belong. Where you can do no more harm.
But of course, there were many Republicans who either cast a vote for Roe or just stayed home. They deserve praise for being human enough to see the evil behind your foul face.
But as I said, all this matters not.
What matters is that you’re gone you useless, Right-Wing, Jesus Pimpin’ corporate whore. That’s all that matters.
So for every kid, every soldier, every mountain, every lake, every stream, every tree and every human being you voted against…FUCK OFF.
I told you over a year ago, via email, that I would see you out of office in the next election. And that’s exactly what happened.
Don’t fuck with the Left.
I’m captainkona, I was instrumental in your loss to Roe, and there’s not one fucking thing you can do about it.
I guess all I can do now is play you a song…..

Living in a World Without Fear
This week marks the 63rd anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on the civilian populations of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. On August 9th, 1945 at 11:01am the United States of America dropped a nuclear bomb on a pre-designated city in Japan killing 80,000 people in the second of two nuclear attacks. This attack was the only time that nuclear weapons have been used as an instrument of war, and it could be the last, if we generate the political will to dismantle our weapons of mass destruction, abide by the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and create a federal level department of peace. At the time of the bombing the United States only had two nuclear weapons in its arsenal but since that time our stockpile of nuclear weapons has mushroomed to nearly six thousand weapons. Fortunately we have not used these weapons since then, but the only guarantee that they will never be used is if they do not exist. As tempting as it is to believe that we are a moral nation that would never use such terrible instruments of destruction, the fact is that we have used them and we can use them again if our military or elected leaders believe the situation justifies it. That is why it is more important than ever to dismantle weapons of mass destruction.
Nuclear weapons are dirty, dangerous, immoral weapons that continue to do damage long after the bombs have been used. In addition to the nearly 200,000 people who died as a result of the nuclear attacks, many more victims continue to suffer to this day as a result of the radiation released that day. Birth defects and mutations continue to affect the children of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to this day. With literally thousands of nuclear weapons in the possession of nearly two dozen nations, the risk of one of these bombs being used in a conflict has increased exponentially since it was first used in 1945. In the past six decades the United States alone has gone to critical levels of preparedness for nuclear attack on more than thirty occasions in response to international conflicts. Having initiated a first use policy, we cannot claim to have the higher ground on the issue of nuclear proliferation and possession. By using the bomb first and then building the biggest arsenal, our national policy makers have set a precedent and sent a clear message to the world that we are not a country which is truly interested in peace and international security.
There is nothing more threatening to global peace than our own nuclear weapons stockpiles. These weapons are also a threat to the environment both short term and long term. Uranium mining involves milling, production and environmental and ecological devastation. After the uranium ore is extracted and processed no one seems to want the nuclear waste, which is left like an orphan without a home. There is no comprehensive plan for the long term storage of radioactive nuclear waste which stays radioactive for up to 250,000 years and scientists haven’t figured out how to safely contain such materials. For the people of the world to even begin to have a chance at peace and a healthy environment we need to begin to dismantle our nuclear weapons stockpiles now and clean up the mess we have made. In Tennessee there is enough work for all of the hundreds of employees of the Oak Ridge nuclear complex just cleaning up the contaminated facilities and the environment to keep them employed for many years to come. The same is true of all of our nuclear weapons production and storage facilities. Additionally we need more investment in research and development to study how to more safely contain the nuclear waste that has already been produced.
It has become clear to the people of this world that the future does not include nuclear war or proliferation of nuclear weapons. After the cold war the United States and the former Soviet Union took a big step back from the precipice by dismantling some warheads. Since that time international will has resolved and grown stronger to continue the progress that was made nearly twenty years ago. Right now, while our world is at relative peace regarding global threats to security is a good time to dismantle our weapons of mass destruction. It is up to the people of the United States to develop the will and the leadership to live up to the vision of a nation which is dedicated to peace and social justice rather than violence and warfare. We can live in a world of peace, if we take concrete steps now by abiding by dismantling our weapons of mass destruction, abide by the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and support a federal level department of peace. It is possible to resolve international conflicts without threatening to completely destroy other cultures. We have the collective intelligence to create a more meaningful future for ourselves and the generations to come.
It was close. 500 votes.
With the likelihood of a recount looming it seems that the Pig Extraordinare’, David Davis, has lost the TN-1 Repig Primary to Johnson City Mayor Phil Roe. And the congressional seat he disgraced as well.
U.S. House - District 1 - GOP Primary
239 of 239 Precincts Reporting - 100%
Name Party Votes Vote %
Roe, Phil GOP 25,916 50%
Davis, David (i) GOP 25,416 49%
Sabri, Michael GOP 325 1%
I hope these numbers hold up. That would mean the 116 Dems, Greens and other Liberals that we at TN420 solicited to pledge to cross over and vote for Roe in the interests of defeating the bastard Davis were significant.
To the Republicans that saw the error of their ways and worked to remove Davis, a rare but meaningful and sincere thanx.
If you pray, cross your fingers, whatever. Meditate on these numbers holding and finally being rid of the scourge that is the Jesus Pimp carpetbagger David Davis.
Pray hard.

This may be a sign of Tennessee District One Republicans finally pulling their collective head out of their collective ass.
After voting to fuck our communities over for the last two years, it seems that now District One Republicans, some of them anyway, are attempting to right a very serious wrong.
Phil Roe, Johnson City Mayor and Republican goofball, has out raised the incumbent Republican shitbird, Rep. David Davis, in the last period.
By Gary Gray
Reporter / Bristol Herald Courier
Published: August 5, 2008BRISTOL, Tenn. – U.S. Rep. David Davis is one of only a few congressmen in the nation to be bested at fundraising by a primary challenger during any single reporting period, according to the Federal Election Commission.
Davis, R-1st, raised $107,194.54 in total contributions for the period ending June 30, the end of the last full quarter. For the same period, Republican challenger Phil Roe reported $118,723.72 in contributions.
“I can guarantee you, there’s not many challengers topping contributions to incumbent congressmen, so that shows we’re making a run,” Roe said Tuesday. “We’ve also been really happy with contributions in July.”
The failure of David Davis as a Congressional Representative is immeasurable. Second only to George Bush in incompetence and pure, unadulterated greed.
Roe may not be a gem, but Davis is little more than a germ when it comes to the good of North East Tennessee.
David Davis has consistently voted against our best interests and for the interests of the Big Corporate vermin that he is owned by.
Davis has voted against our troops, against health care for our children, against our clean water, against our environment, and just recently against protecting employees from pay discrimination based on gender. An ultimately misogynistic, Taliban type act.
David Davis is a vile and disgraceful man. A sudo-Christian with a Satanic agenda. We’ve seen way too much of that in the last eight years and we now know the misery to which it leads.
TN-1 Republicans, you fucked us all in ‘06. Yourselves and your families included, all for a tax cut and a copy of the Ten Commandments. It seems you might have found the dignity and humility to correct the problem.
I truly hope and pray that this is the case.

No Permanent Military Bases in Iraq
The Iraqi Parliament wants the US out of Iraq, and they have made it clear in a recent letter which called for US troops to be removed. The United States doesn’t seem quite so inclined to oblige. Recently we learned that the Bush administration was engaged in secret negotiations to establish fifty military bases, control of Iraqi airspace and legal immunity for all American soldiers and contractors for an indefinite period of time. The congress must remain engaged and not give in to pressure from the military industrial complex or current administration officials from both sides of the aisle. If we are ever to step out of this quagmire there must be broad resolve by the American people to bring the troops home and close down the military bases.
As part of long term security negotiations in Iraq, Massoud Barzani, the head of northern Iraq’s regional Kurdish administration suggested that military forces be permanently redeployed to northern Iraq. Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama has indicated that he believes it would be appropriate to deploy troops there in the near future. Permanent military bases of any sort will act as an anchor to keep us locked into Iraq for decades to come. The United States clearly intends to remain in Iraq and Afghanistan into the indefinite future. Pentagon officials have indicated as much in their long term and short term planning for the region.
The Iraqis have a different idea about what we should do. There is consensus in the Iraqi parliament that the United States needs to leave now and take our military bases with us. As a candidate for federal office, I do not support the permanent establishment of any military bases in Iraq or Afghanistan. I believe that it is essential that the anti-war movement in this country continue to pressure elected officials and run candidates who will remove the military presence from the Middle East. It is clear that political instability in the region is being fueled by a continued US military presence in the region. This in turn is creating uncertainty on the global oil markets and pushing up prices, weakening the US dollar and contributing to a global recession.
The current thinking on the part of military strategists and international policy experts is that the situation in Iraq is analogous to Korea or Germany, and that permanent military bases are a fundamental aspect of Iraqi and Afghan reconstruction. The problem is that the Iraqi people do not agree. The people of Iraq consider us to be agents of occupation, and fundamentally anti-democratic. They do not see the invasion of Iraq as being worth the hundreds of thousands of people who have been killed or injured. They do not like the long term economic, infrastructure and environmental devastation which was been visited upon their country.
The Iraqi people have spoken and it is time to honor our agreements. In a recent statement to the press, Nouri al-Maliki said that the US was making demands that would lead to the colonization of Iraq. If the US remains in the region, we will eventually use our presence in Iraq as a base for further military exploits in the region, especially into Iran. That is why it is time to withdraw all of our military forces from Iraq and Afghanistan, to close down our military bases and to bring our troops home now.

Terrorism, Any Way You Fucking Slice It
Well, Jim “Al Qaida” Adkisson’s apologists are hard at work trying to make excuses for what their hero did in Knoxville and for the Right Wing Mullahs that influenced him.
We have a loud chorus of support for the Terrorist, Jim Adkisson, coming from the Right. Trying to excuse the actions of Adkisson by comparing him to everyone from Charles Manson to FARC. Stating that it was an “isolated incident” or “he was just mentally disturbed". Some even said that he was a “Liberal attacking Christians".
They insist that it’s “hate speech” to lay blame upon the Right Wing for influencing Adkisson.
Poor babies. Always clamoring for the right words yet never finding them.
Jim “Al Qaida” Adkisson was politically aware and obviously active. Anyone who has books written by those three pieces of shit (Hannity, O’Rilley, Savage) knows what’s going on in much the manner that most of us do. He just subscribed to the lies as opposed to the truth and those lies poisoned his already diseased soul.
His words reflect directly that he is mentally sound, knew exactly what he was doing and knowingly subscribed to the Social Conservative Credo of “Liberals are responsible for all of America’s woes".
He complained he was out of work. Bush era economic maleficence is 100% responsible for the shortage of gainful employment in this country, many Republicans would agree.
Who regularly takes the crimes and failures of the Bush regime and blames the “Left” for them?
Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Savage Weiner, Rush, Malkin, the Tranny (Ann Coulter), Pat Robertson etc.
This was a deliberate, pre-meditated act of Right Wing Terrorism equal in obtuseness to any suicide bomber in Baghdad.
Insane? Please…
Tennessee has a death penalty. It’s seldom used but he probably will get it.
I personally would rather sentence him to about ten life terms, let him die in prison, bury him, dig him up and put him back in his cell for another lifetime.
But there is no insanity defense here.
He listened to the Mullahs of Conservatism and killed accordingly. He followed orders so to speak.
Look around the web.
The closest the Right can come to a juxtaposition is Charles Manson.
Problem is, Manson never killed anyone that we know of with his own hand. He was not a “Liberal” either. He was a poor, Indiana white trash son of a whore. (no reflection on IN)
He took up the “Hippy” motif because that’s where the pussy was being slung around like Frisbees.
All attempts to relate Adkisson to anyone perceived to be “Left” or “Liberal” are desperate attempts to excuse his evil act.
If someone on the Left did decide to strike, they would shoot up the board room at Exxon, not a church full of innocent people.
It’s not hate to pin the crime on the culture that fosters it. It’s justice.
And this is strictly a Right Wing type crime as it compares fully and completely to anything Al Qaida ever did both in motive and cowardice. And is perfectly in stride with the mentality displayed by the Right Wing from Leo Strauss to Rush Limbaugh to Bush/Cheney.
How many more will there be? What are Right Wing parents teaching their children?
Be prepared for the worst.
