Sara Palin: Like A Rabid Dog

Many a handler has been bitten and many a child mauled by diseased pets. There’s a sickness that overcomes the tiny, primitive mind of the animal rendering it confused, defensive and aggressive.
Even to the point of turning on it’s own.

And thus we have Sara Palin. Would-be vice presidential candidate and wannabe media star.
The question has been, thus far, “is Sara Palin a person who is loyal and dedicated enough to be a leader?”

Clearly not.

Palin is already infamous for abusing her authority in the “Troopergate” case by attacking one of her own relations.

Then recently, Sara Palin, after being determined a mistake by the Republican party, lashed out at John McCain and his advisers creating a rift that led to one McLame aide calling her a “whack job".
Palin’s rouge status is a textbook example of the age old premise that a house divided cannot stand.
McCain’s campaign was doomed from the moment he choose her, but she, in her phenomenal ineptitude, has been the perfect catalyst to insure the campaign’s abrupt and let’s face it, entertaining demise.

Now, (in an even more enjoyable example of Dog Bites Hand That Feeds It politics), Sara Palin turns and bites a chunk out of her former friend and now Found-Guilty-As-Hell-By-A-Jury-Of-His-Peers Senator from Alaska, Ted Stevens.
All of a sudden Mr. and Mrs. Bridge to Nowhere are having a divorce.
Of course, it was only a couple of years ago that Sara Palin was “palling” around with Felonious Senators. But in light of Palin’s “I’m the Decideress” attitude, her old buddy Stevens gets a high Heel broke off in his ass.
Poor Ted, she loved him so when it was opportune. Hey, that’s politics, Ted…

I wouldn’t reach for the biscuits with my bare hand at Sara Palin’s table. I wouldn’t trust her to run a lemonade stand, much less any gov’t office.
But I have no problem whatsoever trusting her to completely ruin what little chance the Republican party had of regaining the White House.
When it comes to self destruction, she has my every confidence.

In Support of a Negotiated Peace

Permalink 05:17:07 pm, Categories: Chris Lugo

The United States has been at war with Afghanistan for six years. The original intention of the war with Afghanistan was to find and capture Osama Bin Laden. In the years since the original occupation of Afghanistan, the war with Iraq has eclipsed both national and international attention, leaving Afghanistan as America’s forgotten war. Much like Korea was in the 1950’s, the United States is engaged in a war it cannot win against an enemy it cannot defeat. Recently, rhetoric by both the Democratic and Republican Presidential campaigns has been actively calling for a troop surge in Afghanistan. In addition to costing the United States more money that we cannot afford to pay, this foreign policy decision ignores the obvious repercussions of an extended and increased war with Afghanistan.

These factors, which seem obvious to the average resident of Afghanistan, a country that has been bombed into the stone age, seems to escape the leaders of the free world, the policy wonks at the pentagon, and most of the corporate media. The simple equation goes something like this, more bombs and more military equals more resistance and hence more enemies to be defeated. In this case the enemy is the Taliban, a right wing fundamentalist reaction to Soviet occupation and failed US foreign policy. Here in the United States of America, the Taliban has been labeled public enemy number one, and for the past six years we have been pouring tens of billions of dollars annually into defeating an enemy that was created out of our own failed international policy under the Reagan administration.

Today the Taliban numbers in the thousands or perhaps tens of thousands and is perceived as a real threat to both the United States and the occupying administration in Afghanistan. Although the US death toll remains relatively low in relationship to the war in Iraq, the death toll could mount significantly if US forces are redirected to that area or even brought in from further depletion of US reserves based stateside or in other parts of the world. In addition, the people of Afghanistan are tired of US occupation. They have been occupied continuously by one or another occupying foreign power since 1979. Afghanistan is a country that has not known peace in almost two generations.

The specter of fear and nationalism lives on in the long tried US war on the Taliban. It is now 2008 and the United States still hasn’t caught Osama Bin Laden, but we have managed to destroy an entire country. The international community is calling on the United States leadership to step back from its rhetoric about increasing the troops in Afghanistan. They are calling for a negotiated peace, led by the United Nations, between the United States and the powers that be in Afghanistan. For every day that we stay in Afghanistan, for every bomb we drop, for every gun we fire, for every civilian we torture and for every innocent villager we accidentally kill we create yet another recruit for the Taliban and make the resistance to US occupation that much stronger.

It is time for the United States to remove its forces from Afghanistan and bring the troops home now from the Middle East. The failure of US leadership for the past eight years has been obvious to the entire international community. We are behaving as an occupying power and have not succeeded in our missions. We never found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and we never found Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan and yet somehow US foreign policy continues to occupy these two zones, taking hundreds of billions of dollars from our national budget at a time of looming economic recession when Americans need jobs at home and investment in America. Now is the time for a negotiated peace and an immediate withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan.

Yes, there is a PNAC parasite in McSame’s past/present. Just one last reason to reject McBush and vote for Barack Obama….

His name is Daniel McKivergan. He is a former Deputy Director of the Project for a New American Century or PNAC. The PNAC are the traitors responsible for the lies George Bush read to the world as an excuse to invade Iraq.

We’ve covered it before.
The PNAC, now hiding under the pseudonym Foundation for Defense of Democracy or FDD, is a group of American Zionists who put the well being of Israel before the well being of America. Aka, Traitors.
Daniel McKivergan was/is one of them and he is the connection between McCockroach and the Zionist element that is responsible for much of the turmoil we, as a nation, find ourselves in.

PNAC Traitor Daniel McKivergan
Traitor

From our friends at Right Web:

Daniel McKivergan, former deputy director of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), is a policy analyst and writer closely associated with Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), for whom he has served as a campaign adviser. Through perches at outfits like the Weekly Standard, McKivergan has hyped threats from a number of countries, including Russia and Iran, often promoting interventionist U.S. strategies.

After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross in 1988, McKivergan joined the staff of the Republican National Committee (RNC), working in the research department first as an analyst and later as its director. McKivergan left the RNC in 1993 for the Project for the Republican Future, a Washington, DC, think tank that served as a precursor organization to PNAC. He is also listed as a deputy director from 2003 to 2005 of the New Citizenship Project, which is credited as being the sponsor of PNAC (see Media Transparency, “New Citizenship Project, Inc."). According to Media Transparency, others affiliated with NCP include Gary Schmitt (president); Randy Scheunemann, Bruce Jackson, and Robert Kagan (directors); Ellen Bork and Thomas Donnelly (deputy directors); and William Kristol (chairman).

McKivergan became research director for the neoconservative magazine the Weekly Standard in 1995, where he worked for two years. While McKivergan was working at the Standard, magazine founder Bill Kristol took note of him as a “young protégé” (New Republic, October 16, 2006). When Senator McCain, a regular reader of the Standard, approached Kristol about needing a new legislative aide, Kristol recommended McKivergan for the job. McKivergan joined McCain’s staff as legislative director in 2000, following a brief stint working as legislative director for Rep. Dan Miller (R-FL), and two years’ time at the Philanthropy Roundtable, for which he served as both policy director and associate editor of its magazine, Philanthropy.

In 2002, McKivergan became deputy director of PNAC, where he joined a chorus of neoconservative pundits in arguing that deposing Saddam Hussein was necessary to win the “war on terror.” In October 2002, he authored a memo titled “War on Terrorism and American Statecraft,” addressed to “opinion leaders.” The memo directed their attention to recent articles about a potential war with Iraq, including “A Necessary War: Unless Saddam Hussein is Removed, the War on Terrorism Will Fail,” by American Enterprise Institute fellow Reuel Marc Gerecht, and a Washington Post piece titled, “From Truth to Deception,” by William Kristol, who was also PNAC chairman.

So you see, John McCain really is just a carbon copy of Bush/Cheney. The PNAC and their ilk are Organ Grinders, guys like Bush and McSame are just holding the tin cup.

John McCain surrounded himself with traitors, Fascists, thieves and greedy war and hate mongers. How is this in any way any different from the last eight years?

VOTE THESE PIGS OUT OF OUR LIVES FOREVER.

Jawin' With Russ

Permalink 05:01:51 pm, Categories: The Founding Father's Flying Circus

“Russ", an acquaintance elsewhere on the net, is a person of the Conservative persuasion. He caught me in one of my more mellow (stoned) moments so I decided to offer him something other than verbal abuse for once.
I know, I don’t understand it either. But rest assured it’s not a condition that should be construed as terminal. ;D

But I do feel an incredible calm. A strong sense that a new life and a new hope is right around the corner for America and her people.

It’s almost Over.

Posted by ( Russ ) on October 19, 2008 at 4:58 pm
“kona, it’s nice you’re being civil. I don’t know how long that will last, but I’ll reciprocate.”

Heh,
I’m getting soft in my old age I guess. I promise not to make a habit of it. ;)

I am, oddly enough, feeling much more at ease being convinced at this time that it’s all over for the Republican party.
We’re taking Congress and Executive branch too.
Finally, after eight long, miserable years of lies, blood, blasphemy, moral turpitude, fiscal ineptitude, social maleficence and textbook Corporate Fascism, we’re going to get actual humans running the show.

“Human” because though not perfect, Barack Obama will restore a sense of pride in nation and people that is lost in a sea of flag-waving, bumper-sticker-slogan mentality ignorance that rivals any third-world nation on the planet.

“Actual” because Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Gonzales, Rice and the rest of the Neocon/PNAC/Israel First traitors are not worthy of being included in the Human Race.

John McCain has lost this election. And in classic McCain form, he has destroyed everything around him in the process.
I couldn’t have asked for more.

Going

I delight in the demise of John McCain, Russ. Did I ever tell you why?
My father was a victim of the Keating 5. Lost his pension and his life’s savings to Keating and his right hand man John McCain.

After what he put my family through, I honestly wouldn’t bat an eye if McCain stepped out in front of a bus and became dust in the wind.
Watching McCain drown in his own incompetence and take the GOP down with him is one of the greatest and most soothing things I have ever experienced in my life.

The new way is here. A newer, more fiscally responsible and socially liberal America. And it will benefit you and yours if you just give it a chance. That’s all the Left wants. For EVERYONE to be happy with their lives.
All will be well, Barack Obama will not leave conservatives out of the mix even though if I was him, I would.

The damage caused by the corrupt, Godless, greed-laden Bush Administration may well take more than four years to fix. Indeed, some foreign relations issues will never be mended. The rest of the world will never forget how we attacked a guiltless nation and caused the deaths of over a million people who did absolutely nothing to deserve it.

Hopefully we’ll never forget it either.

Sad testimony to law enforcement. Seeing these cowards attack peaceful demonstrators who have served their country should keep us all aware of the fact that when it comes to politics, all too many cops can’t be trusted or tolerated….

Cowards, plain and simple.

From SocialWorker:

Antiwar vets attacked by police outside debate

Lucy Herschel and Hannah Wolfe report on how police met antiwar dissent with batons and horses at the last presidential debate in New York.

October 17, 2008

Cowards
Nassau County police injured several people in their assault on antiwar protests outside the presidential debate.

WHILE BARACK Obama and John McCain were getting makeup touchups for their Wednesday night debate at Hofstra University, in Hempstead, N.Y., police outside made sure that the voices of antiwar veterans wouldn’t be heard.

Officers of the Nassau County Police Department reacted with reckless violence to a protest organized by Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) outside the debate site. Among several people injured in the assault, former Army Sgt. Nick Morgan was knocked unconscious and his cheekbone broken when he was trampled by a police horse.

“We were there to force the issue that the leaders of this nation are not listening to or are not caring about veterans,” said IVAW member Matthis Chiroux, who was among several veterans and activists arrested. “And they couldn’t have done a better job of proving us right. They stomped my friend Nick’s face into Jell-o. I put this on both candidates, on the major press and on the Nassau County police.”

The IVAW had sent a request to the debate moderator that they be allowed to ask their own questions of the candidates at the Hofstra event, but this was ignored–and so the third and final presidential debate passed without an antiwar voice being represented.

That night, IVAW organized a nonviolent demonstration to request entry into the debate. Marching in uniform and in formation, IVAW members led several hundred activists to an intersection in front of the Hofstra campus gates–where they were confronted by an army of mounted police and riot cops.

Ten IVAW members were arrested, apparently for no more than insisting on their right to be heard. Mounted police then pushed the crowd back onto the sidewalk, recklessly pulling their horses around and at times backing them into the crowd. The police continued to drive protesters back, pinning the crowd up against a fence.

Riot cops reached past the IVAW members at the front of the crowd, grabbing protesters behind them and dragging them into the street. A mounted cop leapt with his horse onto the sidewalk and trampled protesters, including Morgan.

Chiroux said the police took Morgan aside and bandaged him, but then placed him in a truck with other arrestees to go to processing and detention.

“He was incoherent, he couldn’t even say his name,” Chiroux said. “He had blood running down his face. We kept telling the police he needed immediate medical attention. One officer said, with a smirk, ‘Get him to say it. He has to say it.’ I said, ‘He can’t even talk!’ The officer said, ‘Tough luck.’ Finally, we said, ‘Nick, you have to say I need to go to the hospital.’ We got him to say it, and they took him in.”

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CHIROUX SAID that while they were detained, he and his fellow IVAW members were verbally harassed by police. “They called us traitors, cowards, idiots,” he said.

Three women IVAW members who had been arrested were handcuffed to a bench, and “the male officers kept coming closer to them, verbally sexually harassing them,” Chiroux said. “One kept holding up Marlisa’s ID to her face and saying, ‘Wow, you look like you came out of a Barbie magazine.’”

Morgan was brought back from the hospital, still incoherent and in great pain. He was left chained to a bench for five hours without further medical attention, Chiroux said. IVAW members repeatedly asked officers for their names (they weren’t wearing badges) or to contact lawyers–they were refused on all counts.

When most of the IVAW members were finally released at 2:30 a.m. (according to reports, one vet remained in custody as this report was written), they went, still in uniform, to a nearby diner–where the same group of cops who had detained them were eating.

Chiroux went up to them and asked again for their names. One officer “got up in my face,” he said, “screaming and waving his finger at me and saying, ‘I’m gonna kick your ass if you keep asking that.’”

The IVAW members say they wanted to ask Barak Obama if he would support soldiers who refuse to serve in Iraq, since in the past, he had called the Iraq war illegal. They also wanted to question John McCain about his votes to cut veterans benefits.

“Neither of the candidates have shown real support for soldiers and veterans,” said Jason Lemieux, a former sergeant in the Marine Corps and a member of IVAW who served three tours in Iraq.

“We came here to try and get serious questions answered–questions that we, as veterans of the Iraq war, have a right to ask–but instead we were arrested. We believe that the time has come to end this war and bring our troops home, and we will be pushing for that no matter what happens in this election.”

IVAW members thanked activists for coming to support the march and for enduring the police violence.

“For many of our members, this was their first protest,” said Hannah Fleury of the Campus Antiwar Network, which mobilized chapters from as far away as Boston for this protest. “Now that we see what we’re up against, we’re going to fight even harder on our campuses to end the war, and to support the veterans.”

The New York Civil Liberties Union is asking for an immediate investigation into the use of horses at the demonstration. “It is shocking that someone who served his country would be treated so disgracefully by the Nassau County Police Department,” Tara Keenan-Thomson, director of the group’s Nassau County chapter, said in a press release.

As Chiroux said, “Both candidates claim they support veterans. And this is how we got supported last night: by being pushed back, trampled and arrested.

“We demonstrated to the country and the world that democracy is not dead in the United States–that the people in the U.S. still ultimately hold the power. They can try to force our voices to be silent, to block us out of the media, but we won’t let these people shut us down.”

TN420.org Election Endorsements '08

Permalink 06:35:40 pm, Categories: Bristol Local.

Well, this will be brief and easy….

After careful consideration of the subject matter at hand, we have come to the following conclusions…

President of the United States:

Since Dennis Kucinich gave his blessing, and in the interests of America and her people, TN420.org gladly endorses Barack Hussein Obama, Democrat, for President of the United States of America.

United States Senate:

All at TN420 proudly endorse our friend and blogging comrade, Chris Lugo, of the Green Party, for United States Senate.

United States House of Representatives:

TN420 hereby endorses Rob Russell, Democrat, for TN-1 Congressional Representative.

Tennessee State Representative:

TN420 is pleased to endorse Nathan Vaughan, Democrat, for Tennessee House.

As for the rest, we wholeheartedly endorse Democratic candidates for all challenged positions within the state.

That means Mumpower, Godsey, Lundberger, Ramsey and the rest of those Right-Wing idiots can kiss our asses.
Republican leadership is failed leadership. On any and all levels.

The “Red” button is the Bad button. Vote Democratic if you want to save this nation, this state and this community. It’s as simple as that.

Early voting begins on the 15th. GET TO THE POLLS AND FIGHT FOR YOUR COUNTRY AND YOUR TROOPS.

It happened in the early 80’s. A very corrupt banker and his politician cohorts decided to gamble away the life savings of hard working, God fearing Americans. They failed, and people who saved for their retired lives lost everything. They died poor so John McCain could live it up.

One of those victims was my father.

I’ve written about it before right here. So have others. Now, it’s time to put all of these voices together and show Americans exactly, exactly what a dishonest, feeble minded, self-serving man John McCain really is.

The Keating 5

McKeating 5

It was a bi-partisan crime. Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), John Glenn (D-OH), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), Alan Cranston (D-CA)….All Democrats, all responsible for their own actions.
But John McCain, McCain was a leader along with Charles Keating and knew what he was doing was criminal in nature.

John McCain is a thief and a liar. It’s not our opinion. We’re not making it up.
This is real and the entire nation has to know what really went on and the real damage that was done to real people and their families.

Watch the video. If you come out of it still believing that John McCain is worthy to lead this nation and fix an epic economic disaster, you’re a fucking idiot…

I’m captainkona, these are my words.

McFailing: It'll Get Ugly Now. Or, Saturday Shitbird Blogging

The McCain campaign is losing this contest. What’s more, they know it all too well.
It’s over for McLame/Failin as far as attempting to address specific issues is concerned. They both tried and both have failed.

What we will now see from the RNC is “cut and run” in it’s most fundamental form. The personal attacks against Barack Obama will escalate both in frequency and viciousness. The GOP will stop at nothing to slander and bear false witness against freedom-loving Americans and our candidate Barack Obama.
Much like the child that takes his ball and goes home, John McLame will now begin lashing out in frustration and spite.
The meltdown has begun.

From our dear friends at the DNC:

John McCain has 31 days left to lie about Barack Obama and his record on taxes.

Apparently, he intends to take advantage of every one of them.

In his latest ad, McCain shamelessly claims that Barack has voted for tax increases 94 times – an absurd lie that has been repeatedly debunked by independent analysis.

Using the same warped logic, McCain’s own record on tax increases is staggering. By this measure, McCain himself has voted to raise taxes a whopping 477 times.

The Obama team put together a web video that shows just how unrealistic McCain’s claims really are. Watch it and share it with your friends.
As the race moves into the home stretch, John McCain’s campaign is finally hitting it’s anticipated stride.

A new report out today shows that McCain’s advertising content is now nearly 100% negative, trashing Barack at every turn and leaving no opportunity for McCain to make the case for himself. And that speaks volumes about what McCain thinks about his own policies.

One thing I do know from a decade of political punditry, winning candidates don’t concede battleground states one month before an election unless something’s going very, very wrong.
That something is usually either money or simply knowing that you’re going to lose an election.

Can you feel it slipping away, Republicans? John McLame can. Obviously.
John McLame has waved the white flag and retreated from the battleground state of Michigan. What do they call it again? “Cut and Run"?
With McCant’s Lameness and the fact that an Alaskan judge just rejected the attempt to bury the “Troopergate” issue that challenges Sara Palin’s governing ethics, things just aren’t looking too good over in the Red corner.

It’s almost over.

From UPI:

WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 (UPI) – What profiteth John McCain if his vice presidential candidate wins her debate but he gives up on Michigan?

The McCain campaign’s decision to give up the fight in Michigan is one of the stupidest tactical decisions made in this presidential campaign. Only Al Gore’s refusal to let President Bill Clinton campaign for him in key states eight years ago even approaches it. If Sen. McCain, R-Ariz., loses, it is likely to rank alongside his failure in the first presidential debate as one of the two decisive turning points in the campaign.

For McCain must have Michigan. With 17 Electoral College votes, it is one of the key prizes in the Midwest, and its influence extends into its neighboring states, too.

To win, McCain must hold on to Florida and Ohio – two states where he was looking strong until his meltdown of the past few weeks, and where he is now struggling to run neck-and-neck.

For Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., the Democratic presidential nominee, to win, he must take Pennsylvania and Michigan. If McCain can win either Michigan or Pennsylvania, he wins the presidency. It’s as simple as that.

Pennsylvania has voted Democratic in every presidential election for the past 20 years. Obama was dangerously weak there until the recent turnaround in his fortunes. Now he looks close to having a lock on the place. And McCain has just handed him Michigan on a platter.

…Looks like Muskrat love…

Thanx, John. Everybody loves a quitter.

Much to the aggravation of Republicans, early voting has begun in the crucial battleground state of Ohio.
New procedures recently adopted in Ohio and over thirty other states have effectively re-enfranchised Americans who, in the past, have been targets of Republican efforts to disenfranchise voters. The elderly, the poor, even the factually homeless are casting tonight, in some cases, the first votes of their lives.
Americans, given back their unalienable right to join in their country’s process.

It’s on, and the road to change runs through the voting booths. Get to the polls, America. Destroy the Evil that has plagued this nation for the last eight years.

From the Disgraceful Wall Street Journal:

CLEVELAND – With the credit crisis roiling Washington, Wall Street and the presidential campaign, voters in the key battleground state of Ohio cast their first ballots amid a controversy over the state’s election procedures.

Hundreds of thousands of residents – including vanloads of homeless voters shuttled to polling places by advocacy groups – are expected to cast ballots before Election Day. This year, Ohio voters can cast an absentee ballot without having to cite a specific reason for voting early, which had limited the practice in past presidential elections. More than 30 states now allow early in-person voting without requiring voters to give a reason.

In Ohio, the recent change in the early-voting law has moved up the timetable for intense campaigning. Twenty electoral votes are in play in the state, and the campaigns of both Republican Sen. John McCain and Democratic Sen. Barack Obama are encouraging their supporters to vote as soon as possible.

Residents are being bombarded by campaign television ads, and Republican officials are using mailings and phone calls to encourage supporters to vote early.

Sen. Obama’s campaign brought singer John Legend to college campuses Monday for early-voting rallies. In Franklin County, which includes Columbus, volunteers for Sen. Obama pitched tents and waited all night outside the polling place so they could be among the first to vote.

County boards of elections have added staff and enlarged polling places, hoping that enough residents will vote early to avert some of the chaos – including hours-long lines – produced by a huge turnout in 2004, when President George W. Bush narrowly won the state and national re-election.

Advocates for the homeless in Ohio took advantage of the early-voting process to take shelter residents to polls. Many residents lack a driver’s license or other identification that would be required on Election Day, but early voting requires voters to list only their state ID number or the last four digits of their Social Security number.

“Republicans have been in office for eight years now, and things have not been good for the poor,” Mr. Whatley said. “When the Clintons were in office prior, things were good. If we can get the Democrats back in office, things can become good again.”

Mr. Whatley and other voters traveled to the polling place from North Point Transitional Housing for Men, where 160 residents enroll in employment-training classes and look for work during a six-month stay at the shelter.

Larry Barrett, a 50-year-old North Point resident, summarized the economic turmoil of the past week in one word: recession. “I’m ready for a change, and I want to do my part,” said Mr. Barrett, who also was voting for president for the first time. He declined to say how he would vote.

Look at this shit, America. Just look at it!
pResident Evil
Pure Shit

This is the blithering idiot that has caused our economy to collapse around us like a house of cards.
This is the leader of the party that lied us into a war in which over a million people have died and been maimed. This is the clown who committed treason, neglected American citizens in their desperate hour of need and sold out American interests to support Israel and Saudi Arabia. He has smeared the good name of America and slandered all that we hold dear….

…And now, they’re trying to replace the dumbest leader in the free world, with the dumbest Senator in the free world….

The song remains McSame

Another moron. Another liar. Another incompetent half-wit to drive this nation further into the ground and in doing so, drive us into the hands of our enemies. Economy = National Security, and our asses are fully exposed.

This is it. We must not fail to overcome the obstacle that stands between us and the freedom and prosperity we so richly deserve.

VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN IF YOU WANT YOUR COUNTRY BACK.
