Four legs will always be better than two when it comes to Tennessee politics.

From the stale, murky depths of TN politics a rising star is born. In a virtual sea of that green schmag we see in puddles near broken sewer lines, a beacon of precious light doth exist.
She hails from Hoots and her name is MABLE.

Ward Cammack? He stated that he “changed” in 2000. Fact is (and since Cammack refuses to answer the question) Cammack voted for George W. Bush in 2004. Why else would he fear being asked who he voted for so?
The jig is up, the news is out, the kiss of political death is upon Ward’s lips.

McWherter? Was asked a few rudimentary questions and he too has proven to be far too chickenshit to answer. Yellow is not a good color for a Democratic candidate.

Herron?
Lights are on but no one’s home. At this point he’d have to Legalize Marijuana and bring Elvis back to get my primary vote.

Kim McMillan? Making no effort whatsoever. No online presence, no street presence. You can’t win buy being quiet.

Given the ‘72 VW Bug full of clowns we have to choose from thus far, the only logical choice for our endorsement for Governor is MABLE.
The Hottie from Hoots does not lie. She does not cheat, she does not deceive.
Just straight forward truth and reality.
No gimmicks, no dirty money, no hidden extramarital affairs. Mable does not attempt to rest on the laurels of family members before her. She doesn’t even ask for donations.

The latest “withdrawal” of troops is a facade. Nothing will change for the soldier on the ground. “Withdrawal", in this case, means only “pulling back” and being ready when Iranian-backed Shiites escalate the ethnic cleansing of dispossessed Sunni or “Al Qaida in Iraq” begins it’s campaign to topple the Pseudo-Government in Baghdad.
We’re not going anywhere.

Iraq is simply being made ripe for exploitation. Though a few uniformed soldiers my be transferred, our forces are not “withdrawing” and there is no end to the private “Security Contractors” that will remain behind. Including but not limited to the Treasonous, unarmed civilian killing, yellow-bellied Blackwater Security.
Blackwater Security, whose personnel (a few murderers among many) will stand trial in 2010 for murder ("manslaughter” is a whitewash), was supposed to have been “ordered out” by the “Iraqi Government” after they murdered (and more) Iraqi women and children.
But instead, a lawsuit has revealed that Blackwater is, in fact, operating under another name. The “International Republican Institute” to be exact.

The “real” withdrawal date is in 2011 according to the DOD. What we have here is strategic oversight. Not a “withdrawal".
We pull back (not out), let these murder for hire corporations exploit the situation and kill the Iraqi people, then paint the rosiest picture possible with the help of the main stream media.
Basically a symbolic gesture that amounts to little more than keeping Iraq on a leash.
Meanwhile, Islamic militants wait, watch, blow up a few people to remind us they’re there, as they have been, and plan the years of bloodshed that are the future of Iraq.
In fact, just hours ago another bomb killed at least twenty people in Kirkuk.

Iraq was once a sovereign nation. They will never be so again. Forever divided along sectarian lines, tribal and religious feuding will rule the land as it did before Saddam Hussein came to power.

It’s not Barack Obama’s party. But he’ll get the blame if he fails to clean up after everyone.
Bring our guys home, Barack. Let the Blackwater guys get their heads and legs blown off. Just get our guys out and put an end to meddling in the affairs of other nations.
If we remain mired in this unsolvable situation, you will go down in history as the “one who lost Iraq". Not the Neo-Con vermin who are responsible for it, y-o-u.
Again, it’s not your fault and I certainly don’t envy your position. But this is not “change". It’s a movie script. An illusion.
A ghost that will haunt you forever if you continue to play this game.

Ahhh, what a party. If it takes me three days to recover it means one of two things. Either we partied hard or I’m gettin’ old. Or both.

Not as many people as we would liked to have had, but what a grand time it was. Bleu and the band were awesome. Just awesome. Some of the cleanest sound I’ve heard outside in a long time.
Even yours truly managed to jam with Bleu and The R&B Band for a few minutes and I still feel honored to be allowed on stage with such a tight band.

This hill is a great place to have a show. And we promise there will be more.

I want to thank Bleu and the band for being here, all those who came up to see the show, and the really cool cop that visited us around 10pm and told us of one complaint they had about the noise.
I guess we did pretty good if only one scumbag complained. So we thank the people of Bristol for tolerating us for the evening.

1) The Ensign Affair:

Republican Senator, John Ensign, was forced to admit to having an extra-marital affair with a staffer.
Now, that really isn’t the point. That’s a personal issue he will have to settle with his betrayed family.
But when this happens to the same guy that called Larry Craig “disgusting” and did everything he could to remove Craig from his post, it does warrant mention.
A vocal attacker of Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky and, oddly enough, a member of the Pentecostal International Church of the Foursquare Gospel (sorry, can’t help but LOL) and a born again “Christian", Ensign solicits derision for not practicing that which he preacheth. Ensign was also active in an evangelical group known as the “Promise Keepers". Why doesn’t this surprise me?

And no, this isn’t partisan. John Edwards is guilty of much the same thing unfortunately.

It’s not the sex, it’s the hypocrisy, stupid.

2) Pretty Fly for a Black/White guy:

PETA is now officially a bunch of blithering idiots. So sad to see a once well-intentioned organization decay into complete and total obscurity as a direct result of the fucking morons who now run it.

3) U.S. Economy:

Recently, another one of those “polls” pronounced that “the public is turning on Obama’s economic policies".
Which “public” would that be? The one that’s still nursing a sore ass from being kicked out of every branch of national government, or the one that watches with hope as the economy slowly but surely rebounds?

4) Justices Rule Inmates Don’t Have Right to DNA Tests:

The SCOTUS just ruled, in deeply flawed fashion, that Prison inmates do not have a constitutional right to DNA to try and prove their innocence.
The message conveyed here?
You have no right to your bodily effects but the government does. DNA is forcibly taken from prisoners across the nation as a matter of routine every day.

Not wise, not appropriate.
Legislation becomes necessary.

5) Slavery. Hey, we’re sorry.

The Senate just adopted legislation making official an apology for the slavery of African Americans.
No problem with this at all. Slavery is an evil deed.
Now, slavery at the time was nothing unusual. In fact, very common practice the world over. And we could always discuss the Barbary Cost Pirates and a possible apology to Caucasians, but what the hell. I think it’s a very good idea to state emphatically, as a nation, that such a barbaric practice is unacceptable to civilized society.

Nobody in my lineage has ever owned a slave. In fact, my European ancestors were Reformation “criminals” and sentenced to hard labor in the “colonies".
But I’m still on board with this one because of the message it sends.

I join the chorus.

6) Gimmie a drink or I’ll shoot!:

I’m a real Liberal. The 2nd Amendment is the law of the land and in these days of Conservative Terrorism I’m glad it exists.
But when the Tennessee legislature overrode Gov. Bredesen’s veto of the most ignorant legislation to pass since Marijuana prohibition, I realized that I believe in a certain amount of gun control for a reason.

I don’t have a problem with guns. I have a problem with cowardly, Right Wing Conservanoids carrying them around. Especially in my place of business.
So my sign went out today. It reads….

“Firearms are not permitted on this property. Enter armed at your own risk".

Why “own risk"? Because we’re in NE Tennessee. Not NY, LA, Miami, Detroit….
Going unarmed in those environments is suicide.
Going armed in small country cities where random violent crime is barely noticeable, chicken shit.

“Own Risk". You produce a firearm in my presence, you’d better be ready to use it. Because I’ll knock your brains out without a second’s hesitation and without warning of any kind. And I won’t stop stomping until the cops get there and pull me off.
That’s just the way it’s going to be.

Why is this legislation as stupid as it is? The same reason all too many gun owners are as stupid as they are…

But now that he didn’t, he may need a lawyer to help him duck the charges. Prince William County police say it all happened June 10 at Tim’s Rivershore Restaurant and Crabhouse. A man walked into the popular Cherry Hill Road gathering spot on the Potomac River at 2:15 p.m. He appeared intoxicated, Tim’s manager David Blick said, so bartenders refused to serve him. He also had a “sidearm”—police say it was a .40-caliber handgun—and it wasn’t concealed. The spurned patron stormed out of the eatery and down to the beach. There, he reached for his gun and fired on a group of ducks known to hang out by Tim’s looking for handouts. Four to seven shots were fired, Blick said. Customers and workers were horrified. A mother duck was killed, and the slaying was caught on video, said Prince William police 1st Sgt. Kim Chinn. A woman at the restaurant was videotaping the mother duck and her babies when the man fired the fatal shot. The man with the gun took off, but customers and employees ran after him and got his car’s license plate number. An initial police search didn’t turn up the duck killer, but two hours later, police got the call that led to an arrest. A car had crashed into Powell’s Creek at the end of Corbin Court in southern Woodbridge, not far from Cherry Hill Road. The driver turned out to be the man police were looking for, Chinn said. Eventual party nominee R. Creigh Deeds, a state senator from Bath County, was hammered by primary opponents Terry McAuliffe and Brian Moran for voting to allow concealed guns in bars. There you have the number one reason that Pro Gun/Alcohol/Moron legislation is dangerous to the people (and wildlife). What would have happened if this quack had just one more drink? The Alaska governor appeared on NBC’s “Today” show Friday, continuing a feud with the CBS “Late Show” funnyman over his joke earlier this week that Palin’s daughter got “knocked up” by New York Yankee third baseman Alex Rodriguez during their recent trip to New York.

Well, Sara. You should be glad Letterman runs that show and I don’t.
Because if I did, I wouldn’t be quite as reserved as Dave when I called your Daughter and you both skanks.

3) In Iraq, a fifteen year old Shiite boy gunned down the Parliamentary leader of the Sunni people, Harith Obeidi, in just one of many assassinations that will materialize in the future. The killing raised fears the coming months will see a sharp rise in assassinations and other violence, as most American forces depart from Iraq and campaigning intensifies with national elections scheduled for January.

Just exactly what we said would happen many times before, right here on this blog.

The sheer stupidity of George Bush, his cabal and the Republican ex-majority has cost the lives of over 4300 of our troops, nearly one million Iraqis, and the lives of those who will die needlessly in the coming years as the Iran-backed Islamic Fundamentalist “Government” of Jalal Talabani and Nouri al-Maliki sees American troops withdraw.

When we finally depart from Iraq, the Shiite ethnic cleansing of the Sunni will rage out of control.

4) In Austin Texas, a Sheriff’s deputy named Chris Bieze has been caught on film tasering a 72 year old woman during a routine traffic stop.
The grandmother, Kathryn Winkfein, though not exactly cooperative, posed no threat whatsoever to the enormous, fat-assed Bieze yet this particular cop proved to be pussy enough to need a weapon to force an elderly woman to submit to his whim. Even though Ms. Winkfein was not under arrest and there is no law in Texass requiring anyone to sign a ticket.
The coward tasered Winkfein after she refused to sign the citation and seemingly for no other reason.

We challenge Sheriff Hamilton, another fat guy in a uniform, to be the man his deputy clearly isn’t and fire the coward immediately.
A cop so severely lacking in fortitude not only a danger to the general public, he’s dangerous to his fellow officers as well.
Cowards aren’t much good under fire.
Bieze should be working graveyard shift security at a cheap motel in Houston if that’s all the man he is.

Sheriff’s Response to Constables Office Use Of Force Incident Due to the numerous calls received because of media reports saying to call my office I have decided to release this statement.

On May 11, 2009 the Travis County Constables Office arrested Kathryn Winkfein and charged her with Resisting Arrest. During the incident the deputy constable used his electronic control device, commonly known as a Tazer.
The incident was recorded on the officers in car video camera and has since become a favorite video for media to incite responses to their programs.

As Sheriff of Travis County, I want to make two things perfectly clear.
First, the deputy constable does not work for my agency. The Constables Office is a separate office with the Constable elected to office by an individual precinct.

James W. von Brunn was growing despondent.

John de Nugent, an acquaintance who describes himself as a white separatist, noticed the change when they last spoke two weeks ago.

“He said his Social Security had been cut and that he was barely making it,” de Nugent said. “He felt it was the direct result of someone in Washington looking at his Web site.”

In one of his e-mail blasts expressing his white supremacist views, the man police sources say shot and killed a security guard yesterday at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum told readers that they shouldn’t expect to hear from him again. Von Brunn was shot and critically wounded by museum guards.

He was about to give away his computer, his primary connection to the fringe world of radical racists. He was living hand to mouth.

The e-mails were getting violent in tone: “It’s time to kill all the Jews.”

Von Brunn, who lives in Annapolis, was known for decades to fellow white supremacists who read his elaborate conspiracy theories on his Web site and met him through a network of radical racist groups. He was smart enough to join Mensa, but even admirers considered him a loner, a hothead and a man consumed with hatred.

As an avowed white supremacist and anti-Semite, von Brunn was tracked by civil rights groups.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors hate groups, has kept an eye on him since 1981. Lately, it has focused on his Web site, holywesternempire.org. Von Brunn, 88, worked at Noontide Press, a California-based distributor of books on the “Jewish Question.”

His book, “Kill the Best Gentiles,” is a screed against the Talmud and is dedicated to Revilo Oliver, a well-known denier of the Holocaust. Von Brunn’s writings condemning “Negroes” and Jews were prolific.

“We had multiple entries on this guy,” said Heidi Beirich, the center’s director of research.

Von Brunn’s neighbors said yesterday that they invited him to their home for a drink recently. Apropos of nothing, they said, he raised his belief that the Holocaust did not occur.

Todd Blodgett, a former Reagan White House aide who later worked with several extremist groups, met regularly with von Brunn in the 1990s and early 2000s.

“Von Brunn is obsessed with Jewish people,” Blodgett said. “He had equal contempt for both Jews and blacks, but if he had to pick one group to wipe out, he’d always say it would be Jews.”

Blodgett was part-owner of Resistance Records, which distributed music by white racist groups, and worked for Willis Carto, the founder of Liberty Lobby, a radical right group.

Today the Democrats of Virginia chose a strong candidate to represent them as they seek the Governorship for the third straight time.
State Sen. Creigh Deeds easily defeated his wannabe challenger, Terry McAuliffe.

This is good in more than one way.

1) Deeds is a Warner, Kaine type of Democrat. Too conservative to be great but just enough to win a good portion of the moron vote. Deeds has a great chance of defeating the Right Wing Nut challenger, Bob McDonnell.
Bob McDonnell is a Bush Republican and therefor will never accomplish anything good.

2) Terry McAuliffe is a Clintonista, Blue Dog pile of pig vomit. Those don’t make very good leaders.
McAuliffe has his head buried so far up Bill Clinton’s ass all you can see of him is the soles of his shoes.
McAuliffe destroyed the DNC for many years and was a big part of empowering the Republican majority of the turn of the Century that caused the economic disaster we’re just now pulling out of.
It is also my belief that McAuliffe deliberately sabotaged John Kerry’s ‘04 run in order to run Hillary in 2008. They did exactly that.
Thank God she lost.

That’s the DNC, Hillary’s campaign and the VA Goobernatorial.

3) Message to the Blue Dogshits, sit down and shut the fuck up.

Muhammad returned to the US after being deported from Yemen in 2007. That’s during the BushCo watch and the Michael Chertoff DHS joke of an agency.

Murray made bizarre statements last month while opening – and then closing within two weeks – an $85,000 savings account at Zions First National Bank in St. George, Utah., the Secret Service said in documents filed Thursday.

Asst. U.S. Atty. Barbara Bearnson said Murray was in federal custody in Nevada. Neither Bearnson nor the Secret Service would discuss whether Murray was considered to be a serious threat.

The criminal complaint says Murray, originally from Rexford, N.Y., is the registered owner of eight guns.

He was described by his father and former neighbors in Rexford as troubled but not dangerous. He was known for strolling down a street wearing a cape and talking to himself.

In Washington, Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley said Murray offered no resistance when he was arrested at 7 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of the Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino in Laughlin. Wiley wouldn’t offer any further details.

I guess we could give another warning. “This will happen again". But I’m beginning to sound like a broken record.
Great work by the Secret Service in putting a stop to Murray before he too killed the President or some other innocent American.

That’s right, people. These Fascist vermin will continue to plan and plot and if possible, carry out terrorist attacks on innocent Americans. And who fostered this terroristic mentality we are facing in America today? You guessed it.

Johnson City’s own Bleu Jackson will go on stage at 6pm and lay down the old time, Johnny Winter style blues that he plays so very well.
Bleu has a solid band and a lot of original music to offer.
