Let’s face the facts. We have a steady procession of clowns and other circus acts vying for the Governorship of the State of Tennessee. It’s time we chose a candidate that makes them all look like they’re standing still.
Four legs will always be better than two when it comes to Tennessee politics.
From the stale, murky depths of TN politics a rising star is born. In a virtual sea of that green schmag we see in puddles near broken sewer lines, a beacon of precious light doth exist.
She hails from Hoots and her name is MABLE.
Ward Cammack? He stated that he “changed” in 2000. Fact is (and since Cammack refuses to answer the question) Cammack voted for George W. Bush in 2004. Why else would he fear being asked who he voted for so?
The jig is up, the news is out, the kiss of political death is upon Ward’s lips.
McWherter? Was asked a few rudimentary questions and he too has proven to be far too chickenshit to answer. Yellow is not a good color for a Democratic candidate.
Herron?
Lights are on but no one’s home. At this point he’d have to Legalize Marijuana and bring Elvis back to get my primary vote.
Kim McMillan? Making no effort whatsoever. No online presence, no street presence. You can’t win buy being quiet.
Given the ‘72 VW Bug full of clowns we have to choose from thus far, the only logical choice for our endorsement for Governor is MABLE.
The Hottie from Hoots does not lie. She does not cheat, she does not deceive.
Just straight forward truth and reality.
No gimmicks, no dirty money, no hidden extramarital affairs. Mable does not attempt to rest on the laurels of family members before her. She doesn’t even ask for donations.
She damn sure didn’t vote Neo-Con in 2004.
We at TN420 hereby state our undying support for the smartest, most courageous and honestly, cutest candidate in the race.
We are ready, willing and Mable.

Comments, Pingbacks:
Too, while Mabel may be, indeed, a logical choice for governor, progressive minded individuals need, don't they, to get away from 'reason' for a little while and embrace 'passion'. We can no longer afford to allow only the backwards thinking voters to dominate political discourse with their emotional appeals characterized by inherent lack of factual bases, with deliberately dishonest misrepresentations, & with the creation of totally irrelevant diversions.
Based on such passion, we have to question Mabel's qualifications. For one thing it has been reported that she is a cat-lover.
http://newscoma.com/2008/04/03/mabel-for-president/
Can a cat-worshiper really represent us in a manner in which we deserve? My last feline (the FURBALL), who was around for 17 years, was a typical cat. She thought she was always right. Everything had to be just her own way. She was always aloof and most of the time was totally inconsiderate of others around her. I would have never voted for her to be one of my political representatives who, at least, sometimes pretends to have my best interests at heart.
Cats don't pretend to care about their subjects. They just rule over them.
And don't cat-lovers share this disdain & indifference regarding their 'supporters'?
And what exactly is the extent of Mabels' relationship with "evil overlords" (same 'other blog' source as previously cited)?
These are questions which warrant passionate answers before we consider electing her to be governor - no matter how smart, courageous, honest, or cute she is.
Will you help me become your Governor?
We can win this election. But I need your help today.....
During almost 23 years in the Tennessee House and Senate, I’ve attended every legislative session, except the day our youngest son was being born. I’ve conducted over 1,000 Listening Meetings, more than any other Tennessee legislator. I’ve chaired three legislative committees, served as Senate Democratic Floor Leader, and led as the Senate Democratic Caucus Chair.
I’ve successfully sponsored hundreds of bills, many of which have made a real difference for working and vulnerable Tennesseans. And I’ve fought against, and helped defeat, countless proposals that would have diminished freedoms or caused injustices. Many say that of the candidates for Governor, I have the strongest record of accomplishments on which we can build to keep our state moving forward.
(victorg423: you can go to http://www.royherron.com/free_details.asp?id=117 to see these so-called accomplishments.)
But I need your help to run a truly statewide campaign and let Tennesseans know why they should vote for me.....
Your donation will help us build a proactive grassroots campaign in all 95 counties. And that is how we can win. Just last year, another state senator took the same approach and upset U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole in North Carolina. I plan to take the same path to become Tennessee’s next Governor. If you'll join me, we can win.
But this race is not just about winning—it’s about governing. It’s about what we can do after we win.
If we work together, we can keep attracting new businesses and help existing businesses grow good-paying, 21st century jobs. We can keep improving our schools, serve our youngest, most vulnerable children through Pre-K programs, and help students go to college. We can keep working to make health care available and affordable. We can invest wisely in our future so that we don’t pass on our debts to our children and grandchildren.
I’ve represented and fought for Perry County, where unemployment hit 27% when 90% of their automotive jobs disappeared. I am absolutely determined to help grow our economy, create jobs and serve our families.
After 25 years of working all across this state, I know thousands of Tennesseans. But many of our six million Tennesseans scattered across 95 counties don’t yet know me. If you’ll stand with me, and help me raise the money to run a statewide campaign, we’ll win. Because no one will out-work me, and no one is more committed to doing right by you.
I have been blessed to serve Tennessee in the past. I hope you will help me serve you in the future. If we work together, we can make Tennessee work for all of us!
Your friend,
Roy Herron
P.S. Please..... write and mail your check to Herron for Governor at P. O. Box 5, Dresden, TN 38225, or go on-line and donate at RoyHerron.com. Thanks again so much!
So much for Herron's appeal for money.
In Cam-MACK's latest e-mail similarly sent here & there (which i won't bother to share an excerpt), he starts his own appeal for money with the declaration, "Tennessee's economy is challenged...".
Perhaps the reality of the situation is that certain types of individuals in Tennessee are actually the entities who are 'challenged'. Nevertheless, some of these challenged individuals vote. To circumvent these votes, do progressives now need to coalesce around somebody? Who has the best chance of defeating the republican machine? I just dunno yet.
When will it be too late to decide if any attempt to circumvent the challenged is to be practical at all?
"I share everyone's disappointment in GM's announcement not to build its new sub-compact car in Spring Hill. I'm certain the State put forth its best proposal, and that our leaders will continue to pursue job investment opportunites for Spring Hill. If there's a silver lining in all this, it's that Spring Hill is blessed with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and a fanatastic work force that has proven that it can build a quality product efficiently. Like many of the folks I have spoken to recently in Spring Hill, I hold out hope for other opportunites to come".
Perhaps, GM & (more significantly) its established workforce are trying to distance themselves away from one of the most bigoted States in the union of the United States - right up there with South Carolina and a few others - bigotry directly attributable to the influence of the Tennessee republican party and the certain types of people they support, both directly and indirectly!
This failure of Tennessee to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with GM, despite what McWherter suggests, is NOT an example of the best proposal possible that could have been made. And this politician's assertion that 'I feel your pain' is empty & disingenuous. He's subsisted on excessive privilege and unearned connections his entire life. He has little, if any, comprehension regarding the problems with which most people deal day after day.
I think McWherter is little more than an opportunistic jerk.
But, he evidently has much of the democratic 'elite' behind him, due largely to his father's connections surely. He's also the "budweiser" distributor in Jackson, Tennessee. That fact alone will gain him a few votes, huh?
A couple of weeks or so ago, the former "executive director of the Tennessee democratic party" and, also, the former "field director for Governor Phil Bredesen's campaigns", in both 2002 & 2006, became McWherter's campaign manager.
I'm referring to Kim Sasser Hayden. She'll likely contribute much 'talent' to McWherter's campaign. Will Mikey's candidacy become a juggernaut in Tennessee?
Are other democratic candidates for Tennessee's next governor truly 'in the running' or not?
Good ol' Mabel has yet another fine quality you have shown us. No double-bark.
McWherter:
"I'm certain the State put forth its best proposal, and that our leaders will continue to pursue job investment opportunities for Spring Hill."
If he's referring to the Repig majority that does it for McWhatshisfuck right there.
But hey, if they won't answer questions from a registered Democratic voter I have no choice but to draw my own conclusions.
What a circus. LOL
Who knows, I may just run. Although I may be a little too controversial once in office.
Not only would I vote for you, but I would be honored to be your campaign manager.
Tim Valentine: Because it Takes Heart to Lead.
Honestly, this is what we need more of. People like you and my friend Rich Arrington at the TNDP site. I'm hoping he'll run against Phil Roe here in TN-1.
Rich is a Social Liberal, ex-cop and good family man. He has faith, courage and he, above all, is principled.
He knows what he stands for and will not embrace that which is inherently wrong for the sake of capitulation (pragmatism).
Republicans are bad for this country. That is one of the most obvious facts of our existence.
Appeasing them is out of the question. Especially when we don't need to. The task is educating the people of this state as to exactly why Repugs are bad for them.
We have to teach people why so many in Tennessee have ails such as Cancer.
Contamination from pollutants past is certainly one of the contributors to poor health in this state and others.
We have to teach people that the reason they get paid so much less than the rest of the country for their labor is because certain (not all) corporations exploit them unchecked.
Tennesseans would live good if there was organized labor to speak for them and put pressure on companies that cannot make a dime without their employees.
Unions have been demonized by lying Republicans and Blue Dogshits at the behest of their corporate owners.
This is why I so regret and often lament the loss of Howard Dean. Tim Kaine, the pragmatic pussy, will never get the DNC job done.
He just doesn't have the right mind or the right plan for the job.
That much is obvious if you look at the panel nincompoops we have to choose from at the moment.
I wish some younger, more aggressive-progressives would be groomed for the future which was the St. Dean way.
That is clearly no longer taking place.
As for Ford. I can't join you there. That clown has bent over and spread his ass for every Right Winger that ever said bend.
I'll never vote for anyone who voiced support for the war in Iraq. Especially when he knew it was a crime.
I have caught him in so many lies and two-faced jive I wouldn't elect him Cub Scout Den Mother.
Much less Governor.
But you, you I'll vote for.
