Summary of Current Events

1) Ted Kennedy:
We have a new Martyr in the fight for National Health care. Ted Kennedy is dead, and we now owe it to him to fight, harder than ever, to establish a significant Public Option. This was his dream. It has always been his dream.
Ted Kennedy, though imperfect like the rest of us, stood for many Progressive causes and achieved results.
Resolve like his is unfortunately a rare occurrence in the Democratic Party.
For that, more than anything else, I will miss him.
2) Chuck (suck) Melancon makes Senate bid official:
I implore the citizens of Melancon’s district in the great state of Louisiana to run another Democrat against Charlie Melancon.
Melancon is a scum bag. A Blue Dogshit loser who is no different from Sen. David Vitter, the Republican incumbent.
Remember when you choose a potential candidate, Louisiana. Rep Charlie Melancon did everything he could to prevent you from having a choice in health care.
Vitter/Melancon. Same shit, different party.
3) Karl Rove: Traitor, Coward, Liar:
Rove’s latest attempt to lie to Senior Citizens and scare them into believing that Medicare Advantage adjustments would cause them to lose the benefits is the new, desperate attempt to scare up opposition to reform.
From the only tabloid that will give Traitor Rove a column, the FOX Street Journal:
…Already, an estimated 10.2 million seniors—one out of five in America—have enrolled in Medicare Advantage. Mr. Obama is proposing to cut the program by nearly 20% and thus reduce the amount of money each will have to buy insurance. This will likely force most of them to lose the insurance they have now. Yet Mr. Obama promised in late July in New Hampshire that, “if you like your health-care plan, you can keep your health-care plan.”
There are roughly 23,400 seniors on average in a congressional district who have Medicare Advantage, but who face losing it if Mr. Obama has his way. That’s enough votes to tip most competitive House and Senate races. - Karl Rove
First of all, you fucking traitorous pig, the vast majority of those Seniors were tricked, duped, deceived…whatever, into signing up for “Advantage". Those corporate vermin who tricked these folks into signing up neglected to tell them things like the fact that they are not traditional Medicare. They’re a company who uses the name “Medicare” fraudulently.
Seniors paid, got minimal coverage, and had to travel long distances to find a participating physician. Many were no longer able to use their family doctors and even more were denied necessary treatment.
Secondly, you son of a downtown LA whore.
Medicare Advantage is not insurance. It is a supplement that has driven the cost of care higher because the gov’t pays around 15% more for “Advantage” than it does real Medicare. Cutting that, then re-investing it into the regular program will allow Seniors to have better benefits without paying the extra money.
Third, little bitch-boy, Seniors will be far better off without Medicare Disadvantage and the greed-laden filth, not unlike yourself, who have taken “Advantage” of Senior Citizens and ripped off the tax payer can go jump off the nearest skyscraper.
People like you make better mud puddles than citizens.
You’re a lying Piglet, Karl.
I respectfully request that you go hang yourself.
Love, Kona.
4) No hope. White or otherwise:
U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins, a Kansas Republican, recently stated that the Republicans need a “Great White Hope” in opposition to Obama’s Presidency.
I love it when the idiots say things like this. It just cripples the GOP further and that’s a good thing.
Fact is, the Republican party needs more than a “great white hope". They need brains, souls, and humanity. None of which they are capable of delivering.
Hey, Michael Steele, the Great Black Hope for the RNC is a total failure. Why would the other side of the coin be any different?
Republicans are hopeless. White, Black, Brown or whatever color they come in. They’re all scum and America knows it.
5) Glenn Beck:
The Whine King is all bent over because of the seemingly very effective boycott of his advertisers. Beck, the effeminate talk show host that called President Obama a “racist” is losing money and attracting flies.
Good. Now if only his father had boycotted his mother.
6) Obama Bike Ride: No Pretzels
The President went on a bike ride while on vacation.
His ride ended without anyone being injured. What a concept.
