Tennessee, Deleware Win Race To The Top

Permalink 01:42:13 pm, Categories: Had to post it, Obamarama

Gotta be proud of this. There are a lot of states with good plans for educational improvements. Tennessee comes in first.

Right On.

From the NYT:

Delaware and Tennessee beat out 38 other states and the District of Columbia to win a share of $4 billion in federal education grants, convincing the Obama administration that they have bold plans for overhauling their public school systems, an administration official said Monday.

The Department of Education said that Delaware would be awarded about $100 million and Tennessee about $500 million.

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan said that both Delaware and Tennessee had won because they had gotten overwhelming statewide support from teachers, school districts and business leaders for comprehensive school improvement plans, and had written new laws to support their policies.

By announcing only two winners in the first round, Mr. Duncan held to his vow that only a small number of states with extremely bold plans would receive money in the Race to the Top competition, which aims to promote educational innovation by rewarding a few states for exemplary progress in areas President Obama considers crucial to education reform.

Georgia and Florida came in third and fourth in the competition, officials said.

The president’s goals include expanding the number and quality of charter schools, reworking outdated teacher evaluation systems, improving the sophistication of states’ student-data tracking systems and turning around thousands of the lowest-performing schools.

Tennessee has long had a student-data tracking system that allows it to trace student achievement to individual teachers, and in its proposal the state promised to adopt an advanced statewide teacher evaluation system by the 2011-12 school year. Currently, teacher evaluation systems there, as in most states, are designed by school districts

Delaware already has a statewide annual teacher evaluation system, and has recently adopted regulations requiring that those evaluations be based on growth in student achievement, according to the National Council on Teacher Quality, which rated the finalists’ proposals.

If smarter people tend to lean more Liberal, as is obviously the case most of the time, then this could be very good for the future of the state of Tennessee.
Lord knows we have all the stupid we can handle.

Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you Gov. Bredesen.
Democrats looking out for Tennessee again.

Michael Steele: Get Yer Freak On!

Permalink 01:27:05 pm, Categories: Right-Winger Wringer, Had to post it

:)>:)>:)>

I just spit coffee all over myself…..

Yesssss indeed. Republican National Committee Chairman Mikey Steele.
Good ol’ Mike has had some issues concerning the misuse of Republican money. Airplane this, Hotel that….

But we can’t help but find ourselves intrigued by the fact that a Republican affiliate used RNC money to pay for a night out at the BDSM club “Voyeur West Hollywood". Under chairman Michael Steele, the RNC spent $1,946.25 at Voyeur West Hollywood, “a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex,

:)):)):)):)):)):)):)):)):))

From The DC:

Once on the ground, FEC filings suggest, Steele travels in style. A February RNC trip to California, for example, included a $9,099 stop at the Beverly Hills Hotel, $6,596 dropped at the nearby Four Seasons, and $1,620.71 spent [update: the amount is actually $1,946.25] at Voyeur West Hollywood, a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex.

RNC GIMP

Hey, who are we to judge? At least this one is one of the few Republicans that manages to stick to adults for sexual gratification.
:>>

Greatest story ever….

UPDATE:
Apparently it was not actually Mike Steele who spent the money at the perv club. The Republican who spent $1,946.25 on “meals” at a bondage-themed Hollywood nightclub — and expensed the charges to chairman Michael Steele’s Republican National Committee — is the owner of a marketing firm who most recently worked for a Republican gubernatorial candidate in California, The Daily Caller has learned.

Erik Brown, who owns Dynamic Marketing Inc. and most recently charged the Steve Poizner for Governor campaign more than $10,000 for campaign literature and mailings, was reimbursed by the RNC for the almost $2,000 in charges at Voyeur West Hollywood, according to FEC filings and online reports reviewed by The Daily Caller.

The Tennessee General Assembly: It Doesn't Get Much Dumber

Permalink 05:55:20 pm, Categories: Democraps and Republitards

This is a bi-partisan appeal. The only thing I ask of Tennessee Republican voters is that you actually take the time to consider the productivity and the overall intellect of those you vote for. The future of our great state is very much in jeopardy and the reasons why are clear.
The Jesters are running the court.

The TN House and Senate is in shambles. We are governed by fools. Yes, some of the Democrats there are fools also, but there is good found among them. On the Republican side you have Williams and Lundberg. That’s all you have.
We can build from there if Republican voters will take enough pride in themselves and their state to be objective and examine the character and ability of those they advocate.

You advocated Jason Mumpower. Now he’s trying to run for Mayor of Bluff City or some shit. Mumpower has been in TN politics since he was 23. What has he accomplished other than to humiliate his district?
You advocated for David Davis. How’d that turn out?

You advocate for politicians that have no concern whatsoever for the well being of you or your family. Only for their money sources and their extremist ideology.
Tennessee is a state of working people. People who grind it out every day to make ends meet. Why on earth would you vote against yourself? Republican House member Glen Casada, attempting to speak on the House floor, has advice for you who are laid off or otherwise out of work in these troubled times. No matter how hard you are trying to find employment, Casada insists that you “get a job"…

Fine way to treat a citizen who spends six to eight hours a day sending resume’s and filling out apps and doing interviews.
But hey, we pay his way through life. He isn’t worried.
Just keep in mind two important facts, one, that the clown in the video above may be the next House Speaker and two, being out of work is a Republican problem too. What has Casada done to improve the job security of Tennesseans?

Recently, Republican Representative and absolute incompetent, Matthew Hill, attempted to legislate himself some good ol’ fashioned nepotism…
Rep. Matthew Hill attempted the legislative transfer of the Tennessee Department of Safety to his Daddy, Dr. Kenneth C. Hill’s Tennessee
Regulatory Authority…

TNGA Rep. Matthew Hill (Jonesborough) is a son of the newly appointed Tennessee Regulatory Authority Director Kenneth C. Hill (Blountville)

That didn’t last long, did it? Did Matthew Hill know what he was doing when he did it. Undoubtedly, no.

A while back, a humanoid named Sherri Goforth, a staffer for GOP state senator Diane Black, originated a blatantly racist email about the President. Rep. Diane Black was actually ignorant enough to defend the insult.

Recently, former NE Tennessee Representative, Nathan Vaughn, was subjected to even more racist propaganda and similar asshattery. A Conservative scumbag named Bill Hobbs was responsible for that intellectual atrocity. The dumb-as-a-bag-of-bricks nature of Hobbs can be clearly seen in his lack of ability to even make a viable web site.
Republican Rep. Stacey Campfield -Asshat Knoxville, adds the essence of idiocy to this particular instance…

Nathan was a nice guy but the vote history looks right and I just don’t see the racism.

This is the same moron who got himself thrown out of a UT football game for behaving like an idiot and tried to pass legislation requiring Death Certificates for aborted fetuses

Two years later, after the dems had no one running against this woman hater, and the misogynist was sent back in the TN legislature by the wingnuts in his district, filing the same bills he filed two (and possibly 4?) years ago, including the requirement of Death Certificates to be filed for Aborted Fetuses. This time he got a clue from another previously filed bill in Montana, and the firestorm that ensued on his own blog, that included a privacy clause. (That was after he tried to say that no other bills like this had been filed in states, showing just how uninformed he was — New Hampshire and Montana — linked above — had tried this legislative stunt.)

What a genius, huh.

The sheer stupidity of the Republican Reps in the TGA is staggering. And though they may be alone in the level of stupid they rise to, they are unfortunately not alone in it’s presence.
Democratic Rep. Mike Turner spends his time trying to outlaw privacy protecting products like Synthetic Urine and relaxing herbal incense like K2 or Serenity.
Turner’s simple mind is laid bare by the fact he, and all too many of his colleagues, don’t seem to grasp the reality that prohibition of anything is doomed to fail and fear-inspired legislation is the Republican way. Not that of Democrats. At least it’s not supposed to be.

For Christ’s sake, they can’t even control real Marijuana. Now they want to control fake Marijuana? No, instead they want to create another black market product that is unregulated and have people revert back to drinking bleach or borrowing real urine from others which can be a dangerous bio-hazard. That’s how disease is spread.

There are few words to describe the pettiness of Reps like Mr. Turner and those who would for one second support such legislative asininity.

Democratic Sen. Doug Jackson was the hapless fool that decided to pass legislation that allowed guns to be carried in bars. Probably the dumbest legislation since NAFTA.
How’d it turn out? Well, the first court to review it struck it down for the vague and poorly written legislation it was.
As if guns in bars isn’t stupid enough, what about those elected who can’t even write clear and well defined bills?

What does all this mean? With a few exceptions, we Tennesseans have the single most incompetent, listless General Assembly in the nation. Bar none. If it’s not Republican stupidity, it’s Democraps trying to emulate it.

This just can’t go on.

We need Reps like Nathan Vaughn, Sherry Jones, Jimmy Naifeh, Beverly Marrero
What we don’t need is for this state and our people to be dragged down to the level of the dip-shits that now make up a majority of the Tennessee General Assembly.

If ever there was a time to take a hard second look (or third or fourth) at some of the incumbents in our Legislature, that time is now.

Republican Tea Party Terrorism On the Rise

Tea Party Terrorism is growing. It’s growing fast and is on the verge of becoming rampant. Sick, twisted Un-Americans who oppose progress are radicalizing and the threat these Republicans pose to freedom is more real now than ever before….

Threats against Democratic leaders, who showed so much courage and resolve by passing the Health Insurance Reform Legislation, are becoming more frequent.
Recently, several Democratic lawmakers have been subjected to both verbal and material threats as a result of their YES votes for Health Insurance Reform….

Democratic lawmakers have received death threats and been the victims of vandalism because of their votes in favor of the health care bill, lawmakers and law enforcement officials said Wednesday, as the debate in Congress headed toward a bitter and divisive conclusion.
This photo provided by the office of Representative Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona shows damage to her Tucson office.Office of Gabrielle Giffords via Associated Press This photo provided by the office of Representative Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona shows damage to her Tucson office.

Representative Steny H. Hoyer, Democrat of Maryland and the majority leader, said at least 10 House members had raised concerns about their personal security since Sunday’s climactic vote, and Mr. Hoyer characterized the cases as serious.

At least two Congressional district offices were vandalized and Representative Louise M. Slaughter, a senior Democrat from New York, reported receiving a phone message threatening sniper attacks against lawmakers and their families.

To further Illustrate the rabid treason and penchant for mindless violence of the Tea Party, they have even turned on their own in violent anger. #2 Republican in the house, Eric Cantor R-Va, a major league Pig in his own right, saw his offices attacked in a drive-by shooting…

Washington (CNN) – Rep. Eric Cantor, the No. 2 Republican in the House of Representatives, said Thursday that a bullet had been fired through a window at his campaign office in Richmond, Virginia.

A Richmond police spokeswoman confirmed to CNN that a bullet was fired at the congressman’s office. “We are investigating the circumstance surrounding it,” spokeswoman Karla Peters said.

Cantor also said that he had received threatening messages but that he would not publicly release the messages out of concern that doing so would only incite further violence.

He also accused Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine and Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland – a member of the Democratic House leadership – of “fanning the flames” of violence by using threats that have been made against Democratic members “as political weapons.”

Cantor, being a Piglet to the core, blamed Democrats for “fanning the flames"…
Sorry, Erica. As we have firmly established in the not too distant past, the flames of Domestic Right Wing Terrorism are fanned by people like Glenn Beck, Rush, Hannity, Malkin etc.
And when Republican filth in the gov’t openly encourage their weak minded supporters to behave irrationally it’s hard to take Cantor’s foolish accusations seriously.

Republican House Minority Leader, John Boehner, called the Health Insurance legislation “Armageddon".
Sara Palin placed crosshairs over the faces of some Democrats on her Facebook page.
Texas Republican Randy Neugebauer called anti-choice Democrat, Bart Stupak a “baby killer".
Disgraceful Republican Senator Orrin Hatch R-UT said “Health Care Vote Will Start Holy War".
When dealing with the weakest and most impressionable of intellects, it is highly irresponsible for Republican politicians to “fan those flames". Irresponsible Republicans. Imagine that.

From vandalism encouraged by punk-ass cowards like Mike Vanderboegh at a blog called Sipsey Street Irregulars, to Tea Party Pilots pulling “9/11″s on IRS buildings, Right Wing Tea Bagger Terror is just now beginning to sprout. And as we warned before, will continue to grow until it is met with equal and effective force.

The last few years are just the beginning.

JUST IN:

Great Liberal leader, Anthony Weiner, just reported being sent a letter containing a white powdery substance.
Weiner, who is Jewish, has reportedly received hate-filled notes in recent days, including one addressing him as “Schlomo".

Jane, You Ignorant Slut...

Permalink 07:52:19 pm, Categories: Had to post it

What motivation Jane Hampster, of Firedog Lake fame, has in lying about the Reconciliation bill (HR 4872) is anyone’s guess, but lie she does and not very well mind you….

Well, Plain Jane has thoughtfully created and outline of what she dreams is in and out of the House Reconciliation health care legislation. It’s amusing, I’ll give her that.
Maybe she’s still pissed off about Hillary losing the election, who knows? Maybe political copulating with NeoCon traitor, Grover Norquist, rotted her brain. Sure, Rahm needs to go, but you don’t team up with a Neocon for anything. Such is treasonous to the people.

But we find Hamster doing all she can at the moment to hand the Tea Bag Fags and the Republican minority victory. I guess her long heralded Liberalism takes a back seat to her long winded hatred for Obama.

No, the legislation is not perfect. But anyone too stupid to see that the opportunity for Single Payer was squandered long ago shouldn’t vent their frustration by doing all they can to support the enemy. But that’s exactly what Hamsher is doing with her lie and half-truth filled “Fact Sheet”.

On Hamster’s “Myth & Truth” scale, let’s examine Item One….

Hamsher crows:

The bill is neither universal health care nor universal health insurance.

Per the CBO:

* Total uninsured in 2019 with no bill: 54 million
* Total uninsured in 2019 with Senate bill: 24 million (44%)

Anyone who would list extending coverage to 30 Million people as a negative is either a Republican or smoking crack. Hen pecking the term “Universal” is a little silly in the face of 30 Million people getting coverage. Again, it’s not Single Payer unfortunately. But we don’t need Hamster to tell us that. We will work with what we have, but as Liberals, we will not provide ammunition to the Right Wing.

In Item 2 Hamsher sites, for some reason, that Insurance Companies “don’t hate this bill". They have no choice but to support it. But at the same time, there must be a reason the Blue Dog Insurance whores are fighting it so hard. Lip service to the administration, money to the NO votes. That’s how they roll.

In Item 3 Hamsher again picks nits and manipulates semantics, yet offers nothing to support her numbers. She claims that the legislation will not “significantly” lower premiums.
To people living on the edge, unlike Hamser, any savings is “significant". She fails to mention subsidies.
The tax credits for premiums are higher for individuals and families with incomes between 250% and 400% of the federal poverty level, individuals taking home less than $41,500 or a family of three bringing in less than $70,400. This legislation also cuts the sharing burden for individuals and families with incomes in the 100% and 250% FPL range.

In Item 4 we find pure horse shit. $5,243 to completely insure a husband, wife and two kids is far less than many such households pay today.

In Item 5 plain Jane says something about Massachusetts that has absolutely nothing to do with this legislation.

In Item 6 we find more crap as any attention to the Public Option is omitted. In Item 9 we see why…

Skipping ahead to Item 9 we see Hamster’s most blatant lie yet. I guess in her haste to rip the legislation she failed to read it.

This bill does not bring down costs and leaves out nearly every key cost control measure, including:

* Public Option ($25-$110 billion)
* Medicare buy-in
* Drug reimportation ($19 billion)
* Medicare drug price negotiation ($300 billion)
* Shorter pathway to generic biologics ($71 billion)

Reading the legislation, we find that on Page 4, 3-B under Insurance Reforms the Public Option is indeed included.
The Presence of the Public Option eliminates many of the hardships Hamser alludes to. But since she either lied or failed to notice it, it screws her argument up from top to bottom.

In Item 10 she says something about Big Companies then focuses on Wal-Mart for some unknown reason. It occurs to me that there are more big companies than Wal-Mart in this country. Hamser was just trying to fill space on her really neat chart I guess.

It goes on and on. Hamser never bothers to mention any positive aspects of the legislation which makes her assessment that much more blind. She never mentions amendments to come or other add-ons sure to find their way into the bill the President signs.
She never mentions that this legislation will freeze Medicare Advantage payments in 2011. Or that primary care physicians dealing with Medicaid will be paid up to 100% of Medicare beginning in 2013.

But hey, if you can completely miss the fact that the Public Option, our prize, is there then I guess it doesn’t matter what you turn a blind eye to.

Of course this legislation isn’t perfect. It’s not Single Payer. But it is what we have and there will be nothing better right now.
All in all, it’s good to criticize and dissect this bill. It is not good to join the ranks of the Tea Party and those who want nothing more than to see us fail here so that we can fail again in November and 2012. And that’s exactly what Hamser is doing.

Maybe she got a little more Norquist in her than anyone knows.

Welcome to the political version of sudden death overtime….

The Reconciliation Bill of 2010 is born. And when you read it, be advised that it DOES CONTAIN AN EXCHANGE WITH A PUBLIC OPTION. (see PDF doc Pg.4)

The PDF is HERE. Read it. There is no excuse for not knowing.
The vote will come on Sunday at 1pm according to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.)

The icing on the cake is the Congressional Budget Office report that pronounces the legislation Fiscally Fit….

According to the CBO, the measure would make insurance available to an estimated 95 percent of non-elderly citizens by dramatically expanding Medicaid, the government health program for the poor, and offering tax credits to an estimated 24 million Americans who would otherwise find it difficult to afford coverage. The Congressional Budget Office reported earlier in the day that the legislation would provide health insurance coverage for 32 million people by 2016 at a 10- year cost of $940 billion. The CBO also said it would reduce the federal deficit by $138 billion over 10 years.

Senate Blue Dogs can no longer hide behind “fiscal responsibility” in an effort not to show their greed. They now have no excuse for obstruction aside from their personal profiteering.

Republicans, scratching out in desperation, attempted to obstruct by forcing an individual vote on the unpopular Senate version but to no avail. Democrats handily blocked the maneuver.

Buoyed by the CBO approval, which returned exactly the results President Obama demanded, leads us to the House vote on Sunday and subsequently back to the Senate where 51 votes for the Public Option are believed to be available.
It seems that Congressional Dems have found their balls. Perhaps enough Democratic Senators too. Nothing is written in stone as of yet, but this legislation is going to reach the President’s desk. And if it does so with the Public Option intact, Barack Obama will have kept his promise to sign a bill only if it contains the Public Option.

The thrill of victory or the agony of defeat. Barack Obama and the Democratic majority will come to know one or the other very soon. Let’s hope that for the sake of our economy, and our overall health, they get this done right.

Hillary Clinton: She Finally Gets It Right

Permalink 03:17:19 pm, Categories: Subhumanity, Legacy of Evil

I was beginning to think that Clinton would go down in history as the most inept Secretary of State in many years. But finally, finally someone in this gov’t stood up to terrorism and called the true criminals on this planet out.

Well done, Madame Secretary….

Decades overdue, a ranking US Gov’t official has publicly lambasted the Terrorist State of Israel for it’s continued deceptions and criminal activity.
Benjamin Netanyahoo, the chief Israeli Terrorist, has been talking out of his gaping ass about the “peace” process, but this has proven to be merely a stall tactic as the expansion of illegal terrorist settlements on Arab/Christian holy land continues all the while.
The plan was lie, deceive and posture while building. Then say “well, it’s built and we can’t tear it down".

Israel flaunted it’s demonic arrogance in the face of our VP, Joe Biden, as he visited Israel to kiss their ass as he has always done. See what trusting a terrorist does, Joe? They have no souls, no conscience, not a trace of human decency and no appreciation for the indisputable fact that without the US Israel would not exist today. Hopefully Mr. AIPAC has learned his lesson. Israel will call us “friend” then stab us in the back as they have always done.
Finally, Obama and Hillary Clinton seem to have had enough. Enough of the low-life deceptions and two-faced double talk. Enough of the terrorist propaganda.

Hillary Clinton picked up the phone and delivered the biggest bitch-slap this country has ever given to the terrorist whores that govern the nation of Israel. No, it was by no means enough, but it’s more than I ever expected from anyone in this gov’t.

“There was a regrettable incident that was done in all innocence and was hurtful and which certainly should not have occurred,'’ Netanyahu said, referring to the timing of the announcement of approval of 1,600 new housing units for an ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighborhood. It is located on territory Israel annexed and made part of Jerusalem after the 1967 Middle East war in a move rejected by the international community.

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni of the Kadima Party, in remarks in Tel Aviv on Sunday, said, “We have a prime minister who doesn’t know what he wants and this weakness is leading us to a diplomatic collapse.'’

The cabinet discussion followed another sharp rebuke from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Friday, who told Netanyahu by telephone that the U.S. considered the construction an insult and said it sent “a deeply negative signal about Israel’s approach to the bilateral relationship and counter to the spirit of the vice president’s trip,'’ State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said.

Clinton’s comments triggered harsh criticism by some Israeli political figures, illustrating just how deeply the spat over the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood announcement had undercut Biden’s main goal of assuring Israelis – skeptical of President Obama’s affection for the state – of U.S. backing and friendship.

The Likud Party’s Danny Dadon, deputy speaker of the Knesset, called Clinton’s “meddling in internal Israeli decisions regarding the development'’ of Jerusalem “uninvited and unhelpful. In fact it is sheer chutzpah.'’

“I cannot remember another time that a senior American official deemed it ‘insulting’ when a sovereign nation announced urban zoning decisions regarding its primary city,'’ Dadon said.

Netanyahoo misses the point. American anger is not a result of the flagrant insult to VP Biden, it’s a result of things like Genocide in Gaza, starving and exploiting Palestinians, murdering American activists in the occupied territories, Murdering whoever they want

Tzipi Livni attempts to take advantage for political gain, but the fact is that she is every bit the terrorist the rest of the Israeli gov’t is. An internationally wanted war criminal.
This is par for the course for Israel, another cheap charade.
Israel has multiple political parties. All with the same immoral agenda but different faces. Much like the Israeli media outlet, Haaretz, it is only a diversion intended to create the illusion of a Left/Right paradigm in Israel. Truth being, there is no “Left” in Israel. Only a few peace activists who’s efforts can only be described as half-assed at best.

Of course, the most extreme of Israeli terrorists, the Likud, took exception to being punked by the US SoS….

The Likud Party’s Danny Dadon, deputy speaker of the Knesset, called Clinton’s “meddling in internal Israeli decisions regarding the development'’ of Jerusalem “uninvited and unhelpful. In fact it is sheer chutzpah.'’

“I cannot remember another time that a senior American official deemed it ‘insulting’ when a sovereign nation announced urban zoning decisions regarding its primary city,” Dadon said.

It’s not your city, terrorist scumbag. It’s theirs. It belongs to Palestine and has always belonged to Palestine. You may be able to call it “yours” as any thief would call their stolen property “theirs", but the rest of the world knows better.
And the only “chutzpah” I can think of is the fact that we should have carpet bombed Israel in ‘67 in response to the attack on the USS Liberty, but didn’t.

Israel’s time grows short. Condemned by God for their treachery and “stiff-necked” ways, their demise is close and anything that they suffer will be well earned. We, as a nation, should cease to supply arms and financial aid to this terrorist state. Perhaps the mercy of their enemies is a just residence for a nation governed by cowards and terrorists. A gov’t so thirsting for innocent blood that common decency and the fear of God is completely lost in them.

Clearly this planet would be far more peaceful a place with Israel scattered to the ends of the earth.

Sec. Clinton’s smack down of the terrorist state is insufficient, but far more than expected. And in that wise, very refreshing.

Summary of Current Events:

Permalink 03:55:05 pm, Categories: Had to post it

Doing research and getting ready to blog locally… Just stopped in to rant.

1) Jihad Jane (with the kung fu grip):

It appears an American citizen has been arrested for plotting terrorism.
According to sources, Colleen LaRose had also attempted suicide years before.

Some people can’t do anything right.

2) It’s a flaming Massa-cre!:

New York Rep. Eric Massa-D, resigned in disgrace after it was found out that he’s more of a flameball than Perez Hilton and Richard Simmons combined.

It’s one thing to be gay. That occurs naturallly. But skipping merrily around the office tickling your fellow male co-workers like a bald Tinkerbell is most certainly beyond the pale of customary public behavior.
Massa is a pervert just like Mark Foley was. His whining is only an effort to take attention away from his personal misconduct and place it elsewhere. Good bye and good riddance.

3) Joe Biden Kisses Israeli Ass. Again:

“US President Barack Obama and myself know that the US has no better friend in the community of nations than Israel.” - Joe Biden

First of all, Joe, speak for yourself. Israel is our worst enemy and there’s no shortage of Americans who recognize that all too obvious fact.
We are not friends of terrorists, no matter what country they occupy.
From the intentional attack on the USS Liberty to the countless Israeli spies that regularly violate this farcical meme of “friends", Israel is anything but a friend to this nation. They are the reason we have lost American lives fighting Israel’s battles.
Our soldiers have died fighting where cowards like the IDF should be fighting.
We have fearlessly faced the full military might of Israel’s enemies while Israel attacks people in squalor armed only with rusty rifles and bottle rockets, with state of the art aircraft.

Hear this, Israel. You are no friend of mine. In fact, I no longer even recognize your right to exist as a nation. Too many war crimes, too many betrayals, too many lies. May you rot in Hell.

4) Ain’t worth the salt in my tears:

Ok…this is the kind of knee-jerk goofy bullshit that we DO NOT NEED in the Democratic party.
With two wars still lingering, a recovering but still ailing economy, Republican obstructionism to everything etc, etc…some creepy little pygmy in NY, Rep. Felix Ortiz - D, has decided he want’s to ban salt in NY’s restaurants.
Well, Felix, I hope NY tells you to get fucked. Democrats like yourself are an embarrassment to the party and hopefully you will be replaced one day by a Democrat who’s NOT an asshole living in his own little world of make believe.

In case no one knows, mister Food Safety Midget and his “righteous” concern for public safety also sponsored a bill to decrease the drinking age to 18 from 21.
Real concerned about NY’s health are you, stilt? Well it surely shows. |-|

5) Rover still can’t roll over:

Mike Isikoff of Newsweek runs it up into Karl Rove’s new book and details what a whitewashed accounting it is of Rove’s criminal career as White House Chief of Bullshit under BushCo.
In the account of the treason committed in the outing of covert CIA operative, Valerie Plame, Rove casts himself as an innocent victim who had no hand in the crime.
The crystal clear fact that Karl Rove is a traitor along with Dick Cheney, Richard Armitage, Scooter Libby and the late Robert Novak could not be hidden even if Rove himself sat on it with his fat Nazi ass.

Karl Rove is a traitor and should have suffered the full penalty of law long ago. Or at least ended up doing his best Ned Beatty impersonation while spending the rest of his life in general population at Terminal Island.

6) Bart Stupak, Republicans and Abortion. Here’s what to do:

I’ve written it before and I’ll write it again. Trade the Abortion coverage for the Public Option.

This is a trade off the conservanoids will accept even if they do so reluctantly. First, their constituencies are intellectually limited. Like one of those honking Geese at the park, it only takes one piece of bread to shut them up.
The simple fact is that catastrophic illnesses are deadly and far more frequent than abortions. The overall health of the nation should be considered a far greater priority. The cost of treating a person with Cancer is far greater than that of having an abortion. This is common sense, nothing more.

Perhaps later, some financial assistance can be provided to the individual states to help offset the cost of abortion. But the procedure will not leave one in debt for life like major surgery can and does.
The trade is fair and practical.
Of course, pregnancy that threatens the health and life of the mother should be covered, but the “I had to get laid but I don’t want the results” situations should never take precedence over genuine health issues.

Make the trade, they will bite.

Just per chance, I ran across the interview of the Tea Bagger who had his finger bitten off during a Town Hall meeting in California.

The Clown with nine digits had thrown a couple of punches at a MoveOn member and some how got his pinky stuck in the guy’s grill.
This little piggy went to market….

Medicare paid for the “NO SOCIALISM” proponant’s medical bills. Figures, huh?

Hilarious.
