The Tennessee General Assembly: It Doesn't Get Much Dumber

Permalink 05:55:20 pm, Categories: Democraps and Republitards

This is a bi-partisan appeal. The only thing I ask of Tennessee Republican voters is that you actually take the time to consider the productivity and the overall intellect of those you vote for. The future of our great state is very much in jeopardy and the reasons why are clear.
The Jesters are running the court.

The TN House and Senate is in shambles. We are governed by fools. Yes, some of the Democrats there are fools also, but there is good found among them. On the Republican side you have Williams and Lundberg. That’s all you have.
We can build from there if Republican voters will take enough pride in themselves and their state to be objective and examine the character and ability of those they advocate.

You advocated Jason Mumpower. Now he’s trying to run for Mayor of Bluff City or some shit. Mumpower has been in TN politics since he was 23. What has he accomplished other than to humiliate his district?
You advocated for David Davis. How’d that turn out?

You advocate for politicians that have no concern whatsoever for the well being of you or your family. Only for their money sources and their extremist ideology.
Tennessee is a state of working people. People who grind it out every day to make ends meet. Why on earth would you vote against yourself? Republican House member Glen Casada, attempting to speak on the House floor, has advice for you who are laid off or otherwise out of work in these troubled times. No matter how hard you are trying to find employment, Casada insists that you “get a job"…

Fine way to treat a citizen who spends six to eight hours a day sending resume’s and filling out apps and doing interviews.
But hey, we pay his way through life. He isn’t worried.
Just keep in mind two important facts, one, that the clown in the video above may be the next House Speaker and two, being out of work is a Republican problem too. What has Casada done to improve the job security of Tennesseans?

Recently, Republican Representative and absolute incompetent, Matthew Hill, attempted to legislate himself some good ol’ fashioned nepotism…
Rep. Matthew Hill attempted the legislative transfer of the Tennessee Department of Safety to his Daddy, Dr. Kenneth C. Hill’s Tennessee
Regulatory Authority…

TNGA Rep. Matthew Hill (Jonesborough) is a son of the newly appointed Tennessee Regulatory Authority Director Kenneth C. Hill (Blountville)

That didn’t last long, did it? Did Matthew Hill know what he was doing when he did it. Undoubtedly, no.

A while back, a humanoid named Sherri Goforth, a staffer for GOP state senator Diane Black, originated a blatantly racist email about the President. Rep. Diane Black was actually ignorant enough to defend the insult.

Recently, former NE Tennessee Representative, Nathan Vaughn, was subjected to even more racist propaganda and similar asshattery. A Conservative scumbag named Bill Hobbs was responsible for that intellectual atrocity. The dumb-as-a-bag-of-bricks nature of Hobbs can be clearly seen in his lack of ability to even make a viable web site.
Republican Rep. Stacey Campfield -Asshat Knoxville, adds the essence of idiocy to this particular instance…

Nathan was a nice guy but the vote history looks right and I just don’t see the racism.

This is the same moron who got himself thrown out of a UT football game for behaving like an idiot and tried to pass legislation requiring Death Certificates for aborted fetuses

Two years later, after the dems had no one running against this woman hater, and the misogynist was sent back in the TN legislature by the wingnuts in his district, filing the same bills he filed two (and possibly 4?) years ago, including the requirement of Death Certificates to be filed for Aborted Fetuses. This time he got a clue from another previously filed bill in Montana, and the firestorm that ensued on his own blog, that included a privacy clause. (That was after he tried to say that no other bills like this had been filed in states, showing just how uninformed he was — New Hampshire and Montana — linked above — had tried this legislative stunt.)

What a genius, huh.

The sheer stupidity of the Republican Reps in the TGA is staggering. And though they may be alone in the level of stupid they rise to, they are unfortunately not alone in it’s presence.
Democratic Rep. Mike Turner spends his time trying to outlaw privacy protecting products like Synthetic Urine and relaxing herbal incense like K2 or Serenity.
Turner’s simple mind is laid bare by the fact he, and all too many of his colleagues, don’t seem to grasp the reality that prohibition of anything is doomed to fail and fear-inspired legislation is the Republican way. Not that of Democrats. At least it’s not supposed to be.

For Christ’s sake, they can’t even control real Marijuana. Now they want to control fake Marijuana? No, instead they want to create another black market product that is unregulated and have people revert back to drinking bleach or borrowing real urine from others which can be a dangerous bio-hazard. That’s how disease is spread.

There are few words to describe the pettiness of Reps like Mr. Turner and those who would for one second support such legislative asininity.

Democratic Sen. Doug Jackson was the hapless fool that decided to pass legislation that allowed guns to be carried in bars. Probably the dumbest legislation since NAFTA.
How’d it turn out? Well, the first court to review it struck it down for the vague and poorly written legislation it was.
As if guns in bars isn’t stupid enough, what about those elected who can’t even write clear and well defined bills?

What does all this mean? With a few exceptions, we Tennesseans have the single most incompetent, listless General Assembly in the nation. Bar none. If it’s not Republican stupidity, it’s Democraps trying to emulate it.

This just can’t go on.

We need Reps like Nathan Vaughn, Sherry Jones, Jimmy Naifeh, Beverly Marrero
What we don’t need is for this state and our people to be dragged down to the level of the dip-shits that now make up a majority of the Tennessee General Assembly.

If ever there was a time to take a hard second look (or third or fourth) at some of the incumbents in our Legislature, that time is now.
