YOU CANNOT PETITION THE LORD WITH PRAYER!!!
…but evidently Kenneth Hill, of the Tennessee Regulatory Authority can.
Kenneth Hill. Tennessee’s Pat Robertson impersonator.
Father to TN State Rep. Matthew Hill and current candidate for State House, Little Timmy Hill.
The family is, along with failed Congressional Rep. David Davis, a brood of carpetbaggers from Indiana (no offense intended, Hoosiers. I’m sure you were glad to be rid of them).
Matthew Hill is also a well known “Birther“. A group of wacky half-wits, led by disbarred lawyer Orly Taitz, who attempted to establish, only to fail, that President Obama wasn’t born in the U.S.
…Oh, fuck it, let’s cut to the chase. The Hills are a bunch of assholes. They are not from this state, have embedded themselves in TN politics and they’re spreading like Lyme Disease over our legislative body.
Now, in blatant Fake Christian fashion and obvious desperation, Kenneth Hill decided to go church hopping and beg the faithful to pray for, vote for, and provide funds to his pathetic son Timothy’s campaign.
Wasn’t there something about “don’t tempt the Lord thy God” in Dr. Hill’s book?
There’s another book Kenneth Hill obviously hasn’t read. It’s the IRS HANDBOOK. The one that states plainly…
The ban on political campaign activity by charities and churches was created by Congress more than a half century ago. The Internal Revenue Service administers the tax laws written by Congress and has enforcement authority over tax-exempt organizations. Here is some background information on the political campaign activity ban and the latest IRS enforcement statistics regarding its administration of this congressional ban.
In 1954, Congress approved an amendment by Sen. Lyndon Johnson to prohibit 501©(3) organizations, which includes charities and churches, from engaging in any political campaign activity. To the extent Congress has revisited the ban over the years, it has in fact strengthened the ban. The most recent change came in 1987 when Congress amended the language to clarify that the prohibition also applies to statements opposing candidates.
Currently, the law prohibits political campaign activity by charities and churches by defining a 501©(3) organization as one “which does not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office.”
The IRS has published Revenue Ruling 2007-41, which outlines how churches, and all 501©(3) organizations, can stay within the law regarding the ban on political activity. Also, the ban by Congress is on political campaign activity regarding a candidate; churches and other 501©(3) organizations can engage in a limited amount of lobbying (including ballot measures) and advocate for or against issues that are in the political arena. The IRS also has provided guidance regarding the difference between advocating for a candidate and advocating for legislation. See political and lobbying activities.
The letter states:
“I am writing to ask for your prayer for Timothy as he campaigns. I am also asking for your help in his campaign,”
…In Timothy Hill’s letterhead. Signed by daddy.
History is riddled with the destruction wrought by men who thought themselves too holy to be bound by law or principal. How badly do we want to be part of that kind of history, NE Tennessee?
Timothy Hill: Dumb enough to vandalize Wikipedia, Dumb enough to vandalize Tennessee’s 3rd House District.

Phil Roe's Truthiness Woes Pt. 3
More lies and political double-talk from the mass-mailer proggie of Phil “Dr. No” Roe…
You gotta understand, TN-1. When a Congressional Rep. cannot deliver to his district, he reverts to blatant lies in an effort to blame others, in this case Washington, for his failures.
Congressman Roe is one of the best there is at denial and transference….
From the Campaign of Rep. Phil Roe:
Imagine your family doesn’t set a budget this year. You have no idea how much you are going to spend, so you really don’t know whether you and your family are going to have enough money to cover all your expenses. Well, you decide that doesn’t matter because you are going to just put it on a credit card and take on more debt. How much debt? There’s really no telling because you are just going to spend as you go along with no set plan.
Obviously, this is not a sound financial strategy. However, this is exactly what our nation is doing because the Democratic Leadership in Congress has made a decision not to submit a budget for the year because they say it’s too difficult for them to do so.
I’ve seen some crazy things since I’ve been in Congress, but even I was amazed that the Democratic leadership would not even submit a budget this year.
Well, asshat….
There is little use in passing a budget until the BI-PARTISAN CONGRESSIONAL COMMISSION finishes it’s deficit-reduction plan….in DECEMBER. Jackass.
To say that Democrats simply won’t pass a budget due to lack of ability to count is a blatant LIE and highly offensive to anyone with any semblance of intellect. Which explains why your constituency eats it up like candy.
You knew there was a report that was being waited on and you still lie like a whore? You are a shameful little man, Phil Roe.
Crazy things? You mean like the fact that the GOP-led Congress didn’t pass a final resolution in 1998, 2004 or 2006?
What’s “crazy” is that you lie, get caught, then learn nothing from the experience. You’re not related to Sara Palin by any chance, are you?
In 2006, then House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer said that passing a budget was the most basic function of governing. The same year, the top-ranking Democrat on the House Budget Committee, John Spratt said, “If you can’t pass a budget, you can’t govern.” And Nancy Pelosi said in 2002 that failing to pass a budget hurts children.
This means – by their own words and by their own standard – Democrats are unwilling to govern at the most basic level. However, they are more than willing to push the hard work off to our country’s next generation.
Here you continue to ignore the facts of Congressional procedure like the inept lying swine that you are.
What???….You’re saying the resolution won’t be passed until the offspring of Congress are in Congress?
![]()
It’s a dubious distinction for Speaker Pelosi to be leading the first Congress in 35 years without a budget.
Once again, you lying dog, “the GOP-led Congress didn’t pass a final resolution in 1998, 2004 or 2006″.
Ignorant of the present day facts and grotesquely ignorant of the historical facts surrounding your own seat.
The Washington Post reported today: “Tax cuts that benefit the middle class should not be ‘totally sacrosanct’ as policymakers try to plug the nation’s yawning budget gap, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said Monday, acknowledging that it would be difficult to reduce long-term deficits without breaking President Obama’s pledge to protect families earning less than $250,000 a year.”
What would this mean? A return to the marriage penalty; higher tax bills for couples with children; higher marginal tax rates taking more money out of your paycheck – just to name a few.
You sorry sack of shit. You dare to speak about “taxes” that do not exist and speculate about taxes that never will become reality? Your taxes have not gone up one penny. Nor have anyone elses.
In fact, the average working Tennessean saw a tax credit this past season.
I guess that’s why you feel the need to invent and fabricate “taxes” since there are no tax hikes to which you can allude in support of your argument.
Your lies are getting so thin you can’t even do a respectable job of cloaking them any more, Dr Roe.
You are incompetent at best, sir. A morally challenged, hick version of Baron Munchhausen with no respect for the first district of Tennessee or the people here.
Thank God you’re not a Doctor….Oh, wait….

How To Fuck Up A Perfectly Good View
We normally enjoy a pretty nice view of the Steel Creek Knobs and the trees here in Thunder Valley, but sometimes certain man-made eyesores can prove very detrimental to such a pristine environment…

I sent the Ramsey campaign an email complaining about how offensive and disturbing the blight on my view is and requesting it’s removal.
No response as of yet.
Seems the Parkway has a nature threatening disaster of it’s own. Anybody got a paintball gun?
Ron Ramsey: Preventing Jobs From Coming To NE Tennessee
Lt. Governor of Tennessee, Ron Ramsey, is running for Governor. My 82 year old mother met Ron Ramsey at a visit he made to King College some years back.
Not only was that the first time I ever heard my mother speak poorly of someone, it was also the first time I ever heard her use the word “asshole".
Ron Ramsey is a pathetic man. From his support for the court rejected, amateurishly written Guns in Bars legislation to his hypocrisy concerning Embryonic Stem Cell Research, Ron Ramsey may well be the most incompetent boob that ever served in public office in Tennessee.
If one needs more evidence of the fact that Ron Ramsey is as useless as a dry well, you can look no further than his statements concerning a proposed Fish Hatchery that was ear-marked for the tiny enclave of Elizabethton in nearby Carter County. The home of TN House Speaker Kent Williams.
Ramsey, who apparently has little knowledge of how politics works, has referred to the 16M dollar project, and the numerous jobs that come with it, as “pork".
Yeah, Ronnie boy, “pork” is where the jobs always come from. That’s why it’s the Rep’s job to get it. It’s called bringin’ it home to one’s district.
Something you have never done for Blountville or any of our counties.
But Ramsey knows this, really. His opposition to these new jobs for E-Town does not arise from an aversion to “pork barrel spending". It arises from his personal dispute with Williams.
Kent Williams, a more moderate Carter county Republican, helped the state of Tennessee greatly when he sided with Democrats in preventing Ramsey’s fellow loser, Jason Mumpower, from becoming Speaker of the House.
Ramsey has no problem taking the jobs away from an entire community over a personal dispute and he’s perfectly willing to lie through his teeth in the process…
From the Johnson City Press:
Ron Ramsey is clearly not fit to govern this great state. His priorities are back-assward and his heart is clearly not with the people of our area.
But, that’s the kind of thing that happens to career politicians. Particularly many of the incumbents of late. They get all nice and cozy in their plush offices that we pay for, enjoy the health benefits we pay for, eat their meals and clothe their rug rats on our dime….
But when it comes to delivering JOBS to the area it’s more important to them to joust with their political enemies (like the little drama queen pansies they are) than to do their duty and bring some jobs our way.
Ron Ramsey is a disgrace. We should primary this monkey the way we did Davis. Even a prick like Bill Haslam would be better than this clown.
Maybe we will. Let’s make some calls…. ![]()

Phil Roe's Truthiness Woes Pt. 2
Sometimes, you find a Congressional incumbent that is so morally and intellectually challenged that it becomes difficult to know when to stop laughing and begin sobbing.
I mean, listening to pathetic people attempt to lie in your face like a child that’s just been caught stealing from mom’s purse can be amusing in a strange sort of way. Until you realize that each and every one of those lies causes harm. That’s when it becomes sad…
Rep. Phil Roe of the First District of Tennessee. It’s sad that a man who’s come so far in life could be reduced to a petty conservative shill in just two years of office. But reality is often a sorrowful reminder to keep one’s moral compass in good working order.
The latest lies from the asp-like lips of Phil Roe (via campaign email):
As you know, I have spent a lot of time and attention on health care reform in our nation. Now that the bill has been signed into law, the implementation of the Democrats’ health care legislation is underway. The picture of what this will actually do and how it will affect us individually is becoming more clear. At the risk of sounding repetitive, more and more of what I see and hear from reports is distressing.
No, Phil. You’ve spent a lot of time and attention trying to prevent the people of this nation from having affordable health care.
As far as repetitiveness goes, you, like most Republican politicians, firmly believe in the age old principal that if one repeats a lie often enough someone will believe it.
Remember President Obama’s fundamental promise when talking about health care reform: “If you like the health coverage you have today, you can keep it”?
Well, new rules released from the Obama Administration on Monday cast a lot of doubt on this promise. The health care law allows Americans to keep their health care coverage – so long as their health care plan doesn’t make any significant changes.
So, what happens if a plan wants to add a new cancer drug or a new form of treatment for diabetes? You guessed it - government bureaucrats in the Administration get to decide whether the health plan can make that change without you giving up your “right” to keep that plan you like.
Lying sack of shit.
The “significant changes” you queefed about are generally limited to…
a) the insurance company reducing your benefits out of the blue,
and
b) the insurance company increasing the insured’s out-of-pocket expenses “significantly".
Meaning, if your current plan significantly reduces your benefits or increases your out-of-pocket spending above what it was when the new law was enacted, then your plan will lose its “grandfather” status and you will gain additional new benefits under the Act.
These additional new benefits will alter the insured’s plan in a beneficial manner, but the insured will not have to go to some other insurance company as you so wistfully imply, Little Lord FauntleROEy.
And to imply that anyone in the gov’t would make the insured give up their policy because the insurer added a new medication to coverage is such an incomparable LIE that I have no choice but offer this electronic bitch-slap in your Gerbal face.
The reality is, health care plans constantly change out of necessity, and now when they change, Americans will be at risk of losing their existing health care plan
You mean, Americans will be at risk of having their insurance plans improved by the legal requirements. Don’t you, sweet pants? ![]()
Analysts say these new stringent regulations set by the Administration on Monday could force up to 80% of employers to change the current coverage for their employees. Higher costs will force many to new government-regulated marketplaces called “exchanges.” Once they’re there, you can bet that we’ll start hearing from advocates of single-payer health care that private insurers can’t take care of us – when it was their “reform” that destroyed their ability to do so in the first place.
Analysts? Name them, Philie.
And I’m glad you mentioned “employers", since I am one and all….
Your email of lies was intended to make the average person with their own, private insurance think that their private policy would change. It won’t. The discussion here is 100% about employer offered insurance. Something 1 in 5 American workers don’t even get to enjoy.
Employees in the “exchanges” are better off than they were when they had no insurance at all.
And yes, we should have gone to Single Payer in the first place since it’s the most cost effective method of delivering health insurance to all Americans. But that wouldn’t agree with your industry, would it, Phil?
Ultimately, this bad bill will not only reduce access to care, but it will certainly reduce the quality of care, as care is eventually rationed. This is not what I want, nor is it what the American people want – but the emerging details indicate that is what we’re going to get.
To those of us in Tennessee who have seen the ramifications of TennCare, it’s clear why we need to replace this legislation with reforms that actually promote competition and reduce costs.
Again, moron, this mediocre bill will increase access to care because that 1 of every 5 American workers will be covered by the exchanges.
Do you even know what you said?? Reduced quality care is a lie. Any care is better than no care at all and the quality of it is dependent on the integrity of the hospital and physician. Not legislation.
You don’t speak for the American people, and nobody cares what YOU want. We pay for you and your family to have the best care on earth. Now we’re going to get ours and you will not interfere.
Of course I realize that your political party and your corporate scum money-men, like John Gregory and many others, robbed TennCare (and the TN taxpayer) into bankruptcy, but I think I need to remind you that TennCare still saves thousands of lives in this state every year and I think it disgusting that you would belittle that reality for political gain.
You, sir, are a horse’s ass, and that’s why Mike Clark gets our vote for United States Congress. At least he won’t do any harm.
Primum non nocere, Dr. Roe.

Rep. Bob Etheridge: Finally, An Appropriate Response.
Yeah, baby.
![]()
Finally we see some fire and fight from a Democrat. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-N.C.) was approached by two little cockroaches (Andrew Breitbart cronies) with a camera who proceeded to harass the Congressman about his political views.
The video below depicts the feeling many of us have concerning these nasty little Teabagger types. It shows a real Democrat straight up punking the wannabe agents provocateur in public and he does a damn fine job of it.
We at TN420 wholeheartedly congratulate Congressman Etheridge for his tenacity. Though we would have preferred to see Breitbart’s little maggots get mud holes stomped in their faces, we will gladly settle for this grand display of conservanoid bitch-bashing.
You gooooo, boy.

Timothy Hill and Bart Long: The Dregs of North-East Tennessee Politics
Rarely is there ever a respectable person from Sullivan County found in public office. There are a few, but we want to alert you to some exceptional jokers who happen to be running in the upcoming elections.
Bart Long:
Aside from the obvious conflict of interest generated by a guy in the real estate business running for Register of Deeds, it occurs to us that Bart Long’s fiscal responsibility may be very questionable.
Have you seen how many campaign signs this clown has out? Hundreds of them, all over the county. Thousands and thousands of dollars worth of signage….to get a job that pays around 30K a year?
Whats the motivation, Mr. Long? Real estate biz floundering? You could always fill Mumpower’s old job baggin’ groceries if it’s that bad.
But then again, the real estate biz must be booming. Thousands in signs? Who paid for that? You? Out of pocket?
If it’s that good, why Register of Deeds? Surely there’s more money in selling old houses.
Pathway to Planning Commission where you can really drop the hammer on your competition?
I understand that Bart Long is “very proud” of his Republican affiliation. That by it’s self is cause to question Long’s ethics. There is nothing for a Republican to be proud of unless failure has all of a sudden become en vogue.
Vote Duncan for Register of Deeds.
Timothy Hill:
You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.
Timothy Hill is simply a punk. Just like his brother, his Bible exploiting daddy, his mentor, failed Congressman David ‘Jesus Pimp’ Davis and his benefactor, the thief John Gregory (Tennessee Conservative PAC).
They are all fake Christians that exploit the faith of others for personal and political gain.
The entire family are corrupt, unethical clowns and should never be involved in public service in any way.
They are all down for themselves and will never help anyone in this area in any way unless they profit from it.
Only an utter fool would vote for filth like this.
The fact that the Hills are ethically challenged is proven by the fact that they were caught removing unflattering facts (relationship to the thief John Gregory) about David Davis and Matthew Hill from Wikipedia. A behavior on the ethics level of plagiarism…
Timothy Hill, 28, is the brother of state Rep. Matthew Hill, R-Jonesborough, and the son of Tennessee Regulatory Authority Director Kenneth Hill.
In 2007, Timothy Hill was caught using a government computer to delete information in the online Wikipedia biographies of then-U.S. Rep. David Davis and Matthew Hill.
At the time, Timothy Hill was Davis’ press secretary and communications director.
Timothy Hill attempted to delete information about Davis’ and Matthew Hill’s ties to King Pharmaceuticals and its former CEO, John Gregory, a major contributor to Republican candidates and conservative causes.
Hill is also a John Gregory (King Pharm/United Coal) worshiper. Gregory being the thief that ripped TennCare and Medicare off for millions of taxpayer dollars.
The Tennessee Conservative PAC founded by Gregory is also located within the Leitner Pharmaceuticals Building. They are all from the same insidious ilk.
John Gregory, Ron Ramsey, David Davis, Jim Holcomb, the Hill brood, Bart Long?…..
Pure, Jesus exploiting filth.
Gonna vote for these scum, Sullivan County? Go ahead, show us just how fucking stupid you really are.
John Gregory Inc., everyone involved with you and everyone that supports you in any way. For all you do, this blog’s for you.

Summary Of Current Events
Lil roundup for ya…..
1) Carte Blanche:
Democrapic US Senator and useless asshatress, Blanch Lincoln of Arkansas, narrowly survived a Primary runoff against a real Democrat, Arkansas’ lieutenant governor Bill Halter.
Lincoln’s victory is unfortunate for the people, but at least we had the cow sweating in a big way. Arkansas is an extremely conservative state and for a genuine Progressive to come so close to unseating an entrenched, filthy rich incumbent conservanoid can only be considered strong progress.
If she doesn’t shape up, we’ll continue to fight for her ouster regardless of what those two pieces of shit, Rahm Emanuel and Robert Gibbs, have to say about it.
If you are a Democrat, and you capitulate to that which is morally wrong, we will do whatever we can to remove you. Count on it. It will never change.
2) A Hero Named Helen:
A White House correspondent for six decades, the incomparable Helen Thomas has fallen victim to a disturbing trend…Punishing public figures for telling the truth.
In an interview conducted by some scumbag Zionist “Rabbi” named David Nesenoff, Helen stated the truth concerning Israel and it’s illegitimate claim to Palestinian land.
Thomas was truthful in a refreshing and respectable way. When asked about Israel she said “get the hell out of Palestine".
We wholeheartedly agree. Well said, Helen.
“Rabbi” Nesenoff quickly accumulated a tremendous amount of hate mail at his website rabbilive.com as a result of his calculated attack on Thomas. Of course, the Rabbi displays only the comments about “Jews” from Nazis and soforth and none of the comments rightfully attacking Zionism.
In fact, many of the comments displayed on the site were concocted by the Rabbi himself and his supporters while seeking attention.
Standard operating procedure for all Zionist websites.
The facts are:
a) Helen Thomas is correct. Israelis are not Semites. They are white European-decent just like me and they have no right to Semitic land.
b) Rabbi Nesenoff is not a “Jew". He is a Zionist. Zionism is contrary to Jewish beliefs as put forth in the Torah and amounts to heresy according to the Jewish faith.
c) Helen Thomas joins a long list of great people who were degraded, imprisoned or even murdered for being truthful. Among her peers you’ll find Jesus of Nazareth, Mahatma Gandhi, Rachel Corrie, Joe and Valerie Wilson and a host of others throughout history.
We won’t forget you, Helen. Your courage and honesty should serve as an example to all.
I guess truth is a wrecking ball to those who’s existence is built upon a foundation of lies.
3) Lord Stanley’s Holy Grail:
Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks on a damn good job.
Well done, Sir Kane. ![]()
4) Sailing and Failing:
A 16 year old girl from California has been rescued after she signaled that she was in distress in the middle of the Indian Ocean as she attempted to circumnavigate the globe, alone, in her small boat.
Abby Sunderland’s parents, Laurence and Marianne, should be tied to a tree and beaten senseless for this incredible case of grotesque child neglect.
We hope and pray that Abby survives her parent’s lack of concern for her safety to grow to a ripe old age.
5) LOL!
Alvin Greene. A previously unknown, unemployed veteran with felony charges coming down the line, fucked the Democratic party up by winning Tuesday’s South Carolina Democratic primary.
There’s no end to the questions this brings up but it will be interesting to see where it leads.
It costs over ten grand to enter the race. Where’d he get it?
It’s been speculated that Greene, 32, is a Republican plant. That would explain the obscenity charges he’s facing as they are eerily reflective of Republican behavior.
Then there’s the chance he just entered and won on a fluke, but with 60% of the vote a fluke seems unlikely.
Meanwhile, an investigation looms.
Can’t wait ’til this unfolds.
6) Borderline Asshattery:
A number of recent incidents on the Mexican border have unfortunately left would-be illegal immigrants dead. One of them a fifteen year old child.
A couple of points:
Though border agents are trained, as cops are, to shoot “center-mass” (in other words at the human torso), there is no requirement for it. You can still shoot to the legs and wound, and that’s what should have been done in this instance.
There is no way to justify killing this kid. It was an overreaction. I know soldiers in Afghanistan who faced worse from kids there and still didn’t kill them.
That said…
Chances are, you throw rocks at an armed person, you are likely to get fucked up. Rocks can kill if the target is not wearing a helmet, which border patrol agents rarely have. I caution those who think they can assault anyone they want like it was some sort of a game.
It’s not.
The boy didn’t need to die, but it was he who cast the first stone. This is how tragedy happens.

TN420 Election Endorsements 2010
Time to pick the early ones again. These endorsements are subject to change but probably won’t aside from late additions. They are a collective endorsement and may or may not reflect the voting of any individuals associated with TN420.org
Quite simply, we have the usual TN election completion. A wide variety of scum with a few decent prospects intermixed.
US Senate: TN420 proudly endorses the only Senate candidate we have ever endorsed. Chris Lugo of the Green Party for US Senate.
Why:
The only candidate in the state that’s not a lying sack of shit. He’s a real man with a real agenda for real people. We cannot think of a better person to represent Tennessee in the US Senate.
Chris Lugo’s contributions to Ablogination, of which he is a fellow and author, tell his tale and a groovy tale it is.
![]()
United States Congress - Tennessee District 1:
After getting to know him, we take great pride in endorsing Mike Clark - D (E-Town). Mike is the real thing. This district is the mother of all fuckers for anyone other than a Republitard to run in, but I will stand and fight with Mike Clark to the end.
Why: In a time when we’re looking right down the throat of ecological Armageddon in the Gulf, as a result of our dependence on filthy fossil fuels, we don’t need jackasses like incumbent Rep. Phil Roe - R getting all wet and wild with fossil fuel entities like Pilot Oil.
The top campaign contribution to Roe in 2007-2008 was $11,500 from Pilot Corp Oil of Knoxville, TN.
Dirty is dirty and we have a dying Gulf, and likely more, to prove it.
Phil Roe Must Go.

Tennessee Governor: TN420 reluctantly endorses Mike McWherter - Democrat, for Governor of Tennessee.
Why: McWherter is far too conservative socially, but those who he’s running against are a collection of pure filth.
Either Ron Ramsey, Zach Wamp or Bill Haslam are the probable opponents. All three Republicans, all three pathetic wastes of time and space.
Hypocrites, idiots and adulterous fiends.
McWherter is the only choice. Unfortunately.

Tennessee House 2nd District:
There is no one better qualified, especially in Kingsport, than former Rep. and target of deplorable Republican racism, Nathan Vaughan.
Nathan Vaughan was attacked racially by Rep. Jason Mumpower and some piece of crap named Tony Shipley. Shipley is the incumbent waste of air occupying the 2nd District seat at the moment.
Mumpower created a stir in the ‘08 legislative campaigns when he helped Republican Tony Shipley narrowly defeat Democratic Rep. Nathan Vaughn.
Mumpower said Vaughn, a black businessman thrice elected in a city only 4 percent black, was “better suited to be representing inner-city Memphis than the rural hills of East Tennessee.” A GOP campaign mailer depicted the heads of Vaughn, Barack Obama and U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on the bodies of three blackbirds under the heading, “Nathan Vaughn – part of the liberal, big-government flock.”
Why: I, captainkona, am pleased to state that Nathan Vaughan is a friend of the family and we are proud to be acquainted with such a man. He is a community-first leader who has, and will again, deliver results home to the 2nd District and provide a strong voice in opposition to the Republican leadership that brings disgrace upon our state on a daily basis.
TN420 endorses Nathan Vaughan for TN House.
![]()
Sullivan County:
We are glad to endorse Frances Harrell - D as Trustee.
Our endorsement for County Clerk goes to everybody’s friend, Jeanie Gammon. Gammon - D, is a shining star who has been a credit to this community for decades, while her Republican opponent, Jim Holcomb, is a John Gregory (King Pharmaceutical/United Coal) bought-and-paid-for crony.
MORE ON JOHN GREGORY AND HIS THEFTS
MORE
As Register of Deeds we endorse Mary Lou Duncan - D.
Her Republican opponent, Bart Long, is in the real estate biz and we just feel that there is a conflict of interest in his being Deed dude.
He could harm his competition in many ways if he was to abuse his office.
We will refrain from endorsing incumbent Republican, Wayne Anderson, for Sullivan County Sheriff. But we will also refrain from endorsing John Taylor - D, who is a jack-booted drug war Nazi.
Anderson is probably the better choice.
I will abstain from this vote.
This position has changed-SEE UPDATE BELOW
The remainder of the Sullivan County election lineup is not important enough to consider.
To be continued……
ADDENDUM:
Actually, there is one more race worth mention.
It has been made clear to us that Sullivan County Mayor, Steve Godsey - R (used car lot), referred to voting as a “privilege” as opposed to the unalienable right it is. Godsey stated that voting is “one of the most important privileges we have as citizens.”
We really don’t care who runs against Godsey, but whoever it is would probably be the better choice in light of this information.

UPDATE:
We have decided to very reluctantly endorse John Taylor for Sullivan county Sheriff.
Due to things we have learned yet cannot confirm clearly enough to post, John Taylor may be less of a Drug War proponent than we gathered from some of his statements.
These questions were enough to push Taylor, a Democrat, back behind the line we draw when it comes to political endorsements.

Mike Clark = Cool, Phil Roe = Fool
Here we go again, TN-1. Yet another chance to shed the Dumbest Voters in the Country image and finally do something productive for the Appalachian portion of the state.
NE Tennessee. We are truly blessed. We live in the middle of the most beautiful area in the nation. Our environment normally pristine. Our communities exceptionally safe by comparison.
But we’re looking at losing what we have by gaining nothing.
Nothing.
That is what NE Tennessee has gained by entrusting our Congressional District to people like Bill Jenkins, that clown David Davis, and now an equally inept PHIL ROE.
What have we gained? David Davis got us a new taxi way at the airport. Gee, thanx dude. ![]()
Phil Roe? Nothing…nada…Z-E-R-O
Phil “Dr. No” Roe has produced nothing for the people of NE Tennessee. Indeed, he has lambasted every effort of the Obama administration, and the Bredesen administration, to give us opportunities and benefits that all Americans should enjoy.
Absolutely railed against The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act….
….Only to publicly celebrate the very same benefits. (can you say hypocrite?)
On April,19 2010, District one Congressional Representative, Phil Roe, found himself attending a groundbreaking ceremony at Hamblen High School East in Morristown, TN.
The school received a Federal, interest-free loan to build additional classrooms for our students. 11.1 Million dollars for the education of NE Tennessee’s kids came as a result of president Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The very same ARRA that Rep. Roe voted against.
Just like a career politician to show up in front of some kids and their parents to claim responsibility for progress he had originally opposed.

Let’s review some of Phil Roe’s other votes that did nothing, and even denied the people of this district…
House Roll #60
Feb 24, 2010
Nay
On Passage - H.Res. 1098 Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 4626) to restore the application of the Federal antitrust laws to the business of health insurance to protect competition and consumers
Passed 238-181, 13 not voting
In short, Phil Roe voted against patients and for Corporate Insurance.
House Roll #82

No
On Passage - House - H.R. 4849 Small Business and Infrastructure Jobs Tax Act
Passed 246-178, 5 not voting
This is Roe voting against Small Businesses and people who need jobs.
This is Phil Roe. Nothingness. Unwilling and unable to function productively in a House of Representatives that is dominated by Democrats, and will remain so after the November elections.
Phil Roe is the quintessential useless incumbent.
Which brings us to the good news. There is an answer to the uselessness of Phil Roe, and his name is Mike Clark.
The differences between the incumbent Roe and Mike Clark are vast. Mike Clark is dedicated to maintaining the pristine environment we all enjoy. Clark is also highly dedicated to seeing to it that our children enjoy the very best of educational opportunities that are available and the very best of health care for all Tennesseans and Americans throughout the country.
But most of all, Mike Clark want’s to use the power of the TN-1 Congressional seat TO BRING JOBS TO NE TENNESSEE.
JOBS! CAN YOU HEAR US, PHIL ROE? JOBS!!
The stats don’t lie. Phil Roe has presided over record job loss in this district and we simply cannot afford to lose any more. Raytheon, Exide…gone, and the jobs along with them.
Mike Clark can. He can get jobs because he can work with Congressional leaders to make sure that District One gets our piece of the pie too.
Mike Clark can do what Phil Roe cannot. Provide for the betterment and prosperity of NE Tennessee.
TN420.org proudly endorses Mike Clark for United States Congress - Tennessee District One.
Because we can’t afford to lose any more.
TN-1 Congressional Candidate Mike Clark
