Kick Rocks, Rahm!
Hopefully this is not a rumor…
It’s being reported that Rahm Emanuel will resign Friday.
GOOD!
Fuck you, Emanuel. You Zionist, dual-citizenship, IDF serving, loyal-to-nation-other-than-your-own, DLC Right-leaning pig.
You were one of four of Obama’s worst mistakes (Lieberman/Biden/Kaine). You stood in the way of the Public Option we wanted and are responsible for orchestrating the inter-party obstructionism that caused the Health Reform legislation to fall horribly short of what it could have been.
You were the one who pushed the White House so far to the Right that Democrats will be lucky if a handful of Progressives even bother to leave the comforts of their homes to cast a vote in November.
Because of you, only our benevolence will save Democrats in November. IF we choose to show it.
Your advisory role is a miserable failure. You looked away from the party’s core supporters and embraced those who would never vote Democratic under any circumstances. You are a grotesquely ignorant humanoid and I thank God that your useless ass is going to be Chicago’s problem and not mine.
Fuck off.
Love, Kona.
P.S.
If Obama really wants to jump-start the base he’ll pick either Howard Dean or Russ Feingold to assume the advisory role. Either of them are twice the man you’ve ever been.
UPDATE:
It seems that Obama has picked Pete Rouse, his #2 adviser, to replace whatshisname as senior adviser. At least in the interim.
Could have been better, but the fact is that Rouse is an actual Liberal.
He’s a very intelligent free-thinker with lots of credibility on the Hill.
At this point I can’t complain.

Summary of Current Events
Again, no shortage of stuff to make mention of…
1) A-Biden by the Base:
Joe Biden is a punk. He always has been. That’s nothing new for me to say as I wrote about it as soon as Obama made the mistake of picking him.
Joe Biden is an idiot and a coward. Instead of telling the Teabagger traitors to “stop whining” he’s cowering in their shadow. That’s all this statement was about, Biden cowering.
As for Obama, this is nothing new. He slapped us in the face the moment he became President by embracing Joe Lieberman. John Edwards may have turned out to be an asshole, but he had more guts than Obama and Biden combined.
Centrists are cowards by nature. One must be terrified at the concept of taking a principled stand in order to be a Centrist in the first place. Biden and Obama are both Centrists and that should explain this episode in it’s entirety.
I’m still voting Democratic in November. I urge all fellow Leftists to do likewise. The important thing is to beat back the Teabagger filth. After that, we’ll have two sweet years of rubbing Obama and Biden’s sorry faces in every word they spoke. We vow to make fools of them both, every single day, regardless of who has a majority or where. But we still have a job to do for our country and that’s going to the polls in force in November.
2) Outsourcing Our Jobs:
Just in case you hadn’t heard, Republicans and the Chamber of Communists just prevented Democrats from putting a stop to the corporatist practice of sending our jobs overseas. The primary cause of job loss in America.
Congressional Democrats attempted to establish legislation that would have laid heavy taxes on treasonous corporations that are based here at home but send our jobs to other countries. Republicans, as usual, performed for their corporate masters and shit on average Americans.
So what else is new?
3) Jimmy Carter Hospitalized:
Former President and finest gentleman to ever hold that office has been hospitalized in Ohio.
We hope and pray for his quick and full recovery.
4) Elmo’s Fire:
A guy attacked Sesame Street character, Elmo, in a Guitar Center outlet in Winter Park Florida. Elmo kicked his ass.
5) Outsourcing Everything, Even Libraries:
One of the saddest things I’ve heard in a long time is that some communities are outsourcing libraries. The Library is one of the most sacred, publicly owned community institutions in America.
Now, for whatever reason, some corporate pig-fucks at a company called Library Systems & Services, LLC are worming their way into our nation’s libraries and proceeding to fire librarians, cut pay, pensions and benefits, and turn these All American institutions into hollow shells filled with corporate drones who care little or nothing about education and the free access to information.
According to Fascist Pig and LSSI’s CEO, Frank Pezzanite…
“There’s this American flag, apple pie thing about libraries,". “Somehow they have been put in the category of a sacred organization.”
Sad to hear this Pig’s disdain for Americana. But that’s what corporations like LSSI are, the antithesis of what is traditionally American.
CEO Frank Pigganite must have been one of those spoiled, unruly kids that got kicked out of the library for vandalism or other such horseplay a time or two.
Never have I heard such deep-rooted hatred for libraries and the fine, local people that run them.
This is about two things…. Union busting, as many librarians are Union members who joined in order to protect their livings from threats just like this…and of course, control of what we read.
Don’t think for one second that corporate Fascists like Frank Pigganite won’t, once ingrained, attempt to remove literature that’s unfriendly to the corporate way or their Republican whipping boys. They will, I promise you they will.
If you live in Germantown, TN, you might want to keep an eye on Germantown Community Library. It has already been taken over by the Library-For-Profit types.
LSSI is a foreign (UK) company attempting to take over libraries in the US. They are union-busting Fascist Pigs and they’re taking the community out of our libraries.
They are firing the librarians that were there for us when we were kids and dissolving their pensions.
Boycott any Library that is managed by these scum.
6) Booing with the Stars
I usually don’t touch this entertainment industry crap and I could give a flying fuck who danced with the stars or whatever, but I happened to be at mom’s house and was walking by the TV and asked who was being booed and if they were really that bad.
Turns out it was the audience booing Sara Palin who stopped by to watch her pudgy daughter make a fool of herself with some Baryshnikov wannabe that looked like he was just dragged in from the alley.
Looks like even the Jerry Springer mentality knows an idiot when they see one.

Phil Roe's Truthiness Woes Pt. 6
After a slight break, Rep. Phil Roe R-TN-1, has still yet to find even one tiny scrap of truth to put in his campaign mail-outs…
From the diseased mind of Dr. Phil “NO” Roe….
Yesterday marked the six-month anniversary of the health care legislation becoming law. Since passage, reality is much different than the promises made by the Democratic Congress and by the Administration. The sobering reality of this bad legislation includes the risk of higher costs, rising insurance prices, and the loss of current health plans. Action must be taken to repeal and fix aspects of this legislation that will be detrimental to Tennessee and to our nation.
First of all, what kind of idiot gives legislation of this magnitude only 6 Mos to become established. Secondly, most of the provisions are not scheduled to take effect yet. Roe knows this and willfully ignores that fact. That’s what we normally refer to as Prevarication.
One example would be:
Ban on Discriminating Against Kids with Pre-Existing Conditions:
Before reform, tens of the thousands of families had been denied insurance each year for their children because of an illness or condition. Starting September 23rd, plans cannot discriminate against kids with pre-existing conditions. In 2014, no one seeking coverage can be discriminated against because of a preexisting condition. Up to 72,000 uninsured children are expected to gain coverage by banning insurers from refusing them coverage due to a pre-existing condition. Coverage for up to 90,000 children will no longer exclude benefits because of a pre-existing condition.
This is good, was promised and has become reality. That law in it’s self is worth the legislative effort.
Roe continues to lie….
As we learn more about the health care law, we see bad elements tucked away like the Independent Payment Advisory Board ( IPAB ) – a board that has a mandate to meet a budget. This will harm patient care because the only way to meet a budget is by delaying access to care or denying care altogether. Ultimately, this bad bill will not only reduce access to care, but it will also certainly reduce the quality of care because rationing is inevitable. This is not what I want, nor is it what the American people want – but the emerging details indicate that is what we’re going to get unless we act soon to change it.
A lie that is so blatant it’s almost amusing in a sad kind of way. Delaying or denying care is what Insurance companies do and it’s preposterous to state that those are the only way to meet a budget. Eliminating wasteful spending by Insurance companies and Hospitals is the best way to meet a budget. Of course, Roe never mentions what “budget” he’s attempting to refer to.

Roe mentions “rationing". Which is what Insurance companies do. That’s how CIGNA killed a child named Nataline Sarkisyan, with rationing. A standard poly amongst Insurance Companies to meet their “budgets” (while CEOs get multi-Million dollar bonuses)
Reform legislation actually prevents this kind of “rationing". Examine the video here…
Nice try, Phil. But you are a liar.
The American people have heard so much rhetoric by the President and his Administration, especially in the push to get the legislation through Congress. For example, in April, the President promised this health care legislation “will reduce the deficit by $1 trillion over the next two decades.” However, recently, President Obama’s Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) said that this legislation will increase health care spending by 6.3 percent annually and will cause health care to consume almost 20 percent of the our nation’s health care bill.
The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, and the Congressional Budget Office, soundly debunk this partisan drivel that Dr. Roe would have us believe.
Despite an official estimate by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to the contrary, some critics of the new health reform legislation — such as Rep. Paul Ryan and former CBO director and McCain campaign adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin — charge that it will not reduce federal budget deficits because it relies on budgetary gimmicks or games.[1] Careful analysis of these charges shows them to be misleading or inaccurate. They do not withstand scrutiny.
CBO estimates the legislation will reduce the deficit by $143 billion over the ten years from 2010 through 2019. [2] In the following decade, 2020 through 2029, it estimates that the legislation will reduce the deficit by an estimated one-half of 1 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), or about $1.3 trillion. CBO also anticipates that health reform “would probably continue to reduce budget deficits relative to those under current law in subsequent decades, assuming that all of its provisions continue to be fully implemented.”
So the only thing that would prevent deficit reduction in this case is Rep. Roe’s “repeal".
Roe lies more…
In June, the President told the American people that this legislation will “cut costs and make coverage more affordable for families and small businesses.” But now we’ve learned that the new law is causing health insurance prices to increase. The Wall Street Journal reported that the health care legislation is causing rates to increase up to 20 percent for some buyers. In Connecticut, rates are increasing 18 percent for small businesses and 14.2 percent for the self-employed, early retirees, and others who buy their own coverage on October 1, 2010.
No, idiot, insurance companies are increasing premiums for no other reason but their own greed. It has nothing to do with the legislation and these greed laden corporations will suffer if they continue to gouge….
From Kaiser Health News:
Sep 10, 2010
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Thursday said insurers who blame their rate increases on the new health overhaul could be excluded from health insurance exchanges and the 30 million new customers they promise, The Associated Press reports. “‘There will be zero tolerance for this type of misinformation and unjustified rate increases,’ … Sebelius said in a letter to the insurance lobby. ‘Simply stated, we will not stand idly by as insurers blame their premium hikes and increased profits on the requirement that they provide consumers with basic protections,’ Sebelius said. She warned that bad actors may be excluded from new health insurance markets that will open in 2014 under the law.” Sebelius sent the letter to insurer trade group America’s Health Insurance Plans. “The industry’s top lobbyist responded that the health care law is a factor behind higher rates, but not the only one” (Alonso-Zaldivar, 9/9).
The Wall Street Journal: “The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that some carriers are asking for total premium hikes topping 20% starting this month, and the carriers are attributing one to nine percentage points of the increases to new benefit mandates in the law. … [AHIP’s top lobbyist Karen] Ignagni, president of America’s Health Insurance Plans, said: ‘It’s a basic law of economics that additional benefits incur additional costs, and the impact on premiums depends on the type and amount of coverage policyholders had before.’” Sebelius said that later this fall, HHS will issue a regulation requiring state or federal review of all “potentially unreasonable” rate increases. “It’s unclear how much power that will give state insurance commissioners, who say there’s little they can do to stop insurers’ rate hikes if the companies can justify charging more for greater benefits” (Adamy, 9/10).
Looks like Dr. Roe was just debunked in perfect harmony. LOL, what a lying sack of shit.

If you recall, the President repeatedly promised that “if you like your insurance plan, you can keep it.” On September 21, 2010, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that next year, 1.2 million seniors will be forced out of the Medicare Advantage or Medicare prescription drug plan they have currently. In addition, nHealth has dropped all its customers because of this bill and is going out of business. Additionally, American National Insurance Company will not sell health insurance to early retirees, self-employed workers, and small businesses because of this health care legislation. Lastly, even regulations put out by President Obama’s own Administration show that up to 80 percent of small businesses may lose their current plans under the new law.
LOL!!!
No mention of the fact that seniors will now be paying only 50% of the cost of prescription drugs, huh Phillip?
Did you simply overlook that critical fact or did you just decide that your lie would be more believable without it?
You filthy little ingrate.
And only nHealth is to blame for being a failed company that specialized in high deductible plans and Health Savings Accounts. First, they had only been in business for two years. Second, they only employed 50 people at a call center in Ohio and third, these “savings accounts” were a Republican idea that the American people flatly rejected during the Bush years.
HERE(PDF file) is a letter sent out to their agents from James Slabaugh and CEO Paul Kitchen explaining how it was their own idea to fold the company because they couldn’t raise the capital to continue.
Yawn:
You’re a liar, Phil Roe. A low-life lying stooge who cannot even think for himself. Your rhetorical lies are a product of your fellow stooge, Dave Camp, on the Republican minority House Ways & Means. Camp, like yourself, is a liar.
The truth is here:
Ban on Insurance Companies Dropping Coverage:
Before reform, insurance companies could cancel your coverage when you got sick and needed it most because of a simple mistake on your application. Starting September 23rd, insurance companies are banned from cutting off your coverage due to an unintentional mistake on your application. Approximately 10,700 people’s coverage, whose coverage is dropped each year because they get sick or make a technical mistake on their application, will be protected under the new law.
Ban on Insurance Companies Limiting Coverage:
Before reform, cancer patients and individuals suffering from other serious and chronic diseases were often forced to limit or go without treatment because of an insurer’s lifetime limit on their coverage. Starting September 23rd, insurance companies can no longer put a lifetime limit on the amount of coverage they provide, so families can live with the security of knowing that their coverage will be there when they need it most. Up to 20,400 people who typically hit their lifetime limits on the dollar amount that can be spent on coverage, along with the nearly 102 million enrollees who have policies with lifetime limits, will no longer have to worry about hitting their benefits caps. The use of annual dollar limits will be restricted, and in 2014 will be banned completely. By 2013, up to 3,500 people will gain coverage as a result of the ban on annual limits that insurers impose on nearly 18 million people today.
Ban on Insurance Companies Limiting Choice of Doctors:
Before reform, insurance companies could decide which doctor you could go to. Starting September 23rd, if you purchase or join a new plan you have the right to choose your own doctor in your insurer network. Up to 88 million people will benefit from the provision that protects primary care provider choice by 2013.
Ban on Insurance Companies Restricting Emergency Room Care:
Before reform, insurance companies could limit which emergency room you could go to or charge you more if you went out of network. Starting September 23rd, if you purchase or join a new plan, those plans are banned from charging more for emergency services obtained out of network. Up to 88 million people will benefit from this provision.
Guarantee You a Right to Appeal:
Before reform, when insurers denied you coverage or restricted your treatment, you were left with few options to appeal. Starting September 23rd, if you purchase or join a new policy, you will be guaranteed the right to appeal insurance company decisions to an independent third party. Up to 88 million people will benefit from the new appeals process provisions by 2013.
Covering Young Adults on Parent’s Plan:
Starting September 23rd, young adults will be allowed to remain on their parent’s plan until their 26th birthday, unless they are offered coverage at work. Up to 2.4 million young adults, up to 1.8 million who are uninsured and nearly 600,000 who purchase coverage in the individual market, could gain coverage through their parents.
Covering Preventive Care With No Cost:
Starting September 23rd, if you join or purchase a new plan, you will receive recommended preventive care with no out-of-pocket cost. Services like mammograms, colonoscopies, immunizations, pre-natal and new baby care will be covered and insurance companies will be prohibited from charging deductibles, co-payments or co-insurance. Up to 88 million people will have access to preventive care with no out of pocket costs.
VOTE MIKE CLARK FOR CONGRESS: Because lies don’t make people healthier.

Rep. Matthew Hill: Disparaging Job Creation in Tennessee
Teabagger Rep. Matthew Hill has decided to heap derision upon a company who has supplied jobs to the people of Tennessee. Why? The answer is fairly simple…
Rep. Matthew Hill R, TN-7. Wikipedia vandalizing Carpetbagger (born in Fort Wayne Indiana)/Teabagger/Birther, fake-Christian broadcaster and all around Rush Limbaugh wannabe.
It’s not surprising that such a foul persona would seek to disparage a company, in this case Nissan Motor Corp, for having their products built in Tennessee.
Hill, being hostile to anything environmentally sound, attempts to make a joke out of the Nissan Leaf, an all electric automobile manufactured in Tennessee by Tennesseans, on his syndicated radio show. Download Audio Here
“Why” is simple, Hill is an anti-progress/anti-prosperity failed businessman who undoubtedly has it in for anyone that promotes success and job growth in Tennessee. Hill also disparages “caring” in general and that’s basically why I refer to him as a “fake-Christian” and I’m right about it. He is a fake who exploits the faith of others for personal and political gain. Much like his mentor David Davis.
The Nissan Leaf, manufactured in Smyrna, Tennessee, is critical not only to God’s green earth that Hill clearly despises, but to the dismal-but-improving job situation in Tennessee as well.
But to Matthew Hill, anything that helps the environment is something to be degraded and insulted.
The Leaf is a fine automobile and a credit to the hard working Tennesseans involved with it.
Hill, in his infinite confusion, continues his moronic rant by voicing his disapproval of the Leaf’s TV commercial which features Polar Bears in a comedic fashion. Hill, somehow, manages to equate the Polar Bear in the commercial to some fictional “save the Polar Bears” movement.
From that point he becomes hopelessly lost in his own rhetoric. Kinda pathetic, actually.
A damn good idea…

Too bad that Rep. Hill is so aghast at such a progressive idea, not to mention the people involved with it.
America needs alternative energy vehicles. Tennessee needs jobs. Neither Matthew Hill or any member of his corrupt family is capable of delivering either one. No wonder he has a problem with it.

Jon Stewart and Steve Colbert: Oct. 30th Rally in DC

Well now, we have two comedians doing what losers like Tim Kaine should be doing. It’s sad to know that our Democratic leaders don’t have the balls or the concern to do what needs to be done to get our base motivated, but it’s damn good to know that Progressives with the power to reach people do….
The Rally to Restore Sanity is the answer to the Tea Traitor/Glenn Beck Rally weeks ago. You know…the one that couldn’t even attract a crowd bigger than the Widespread Panic concert I saw in Atlanta.

Though Stewart and Colbert are funny guys, the prevailing reality isn’t funny at all. The Right Wing extremist movement is still trying to impose their will on the rest of the nation. Though they may be few, they have strong funding sources and can afford to do damage. Just ask mainstream Republicans.
This rally is deadly serious. If you can attend, it is your Progressive duty to do so. I, or an emissary, will be there on behalf of TN420.
The websites: All the info
Stewart:
http://www.rallytorestoresanity.com/
Colbert:
http://www.keepfearalive.com/
Jon and Steven have really stuck their necks out and we need to stand right beside them. Let’s not humiliate ourselves, we need a BIG rally. We are the working people of America. We are the (real) small business owners and the backbone of this great nation. It’s often difficult to get away when you’re us, but it’s worth it to tell your Republican boss to fuck off (or at least use a sick day).
Minority voters:
Especially African Americans. The NY Teabagger candidate, Carl “bitch-boy” Paladino, just won the Republican primary.
Here’s a quote from an email “bitch-boy” sent out…”
• A July 2009 email showing a photograph of an airplane landing directly behind a group of black men. The caption reads: “Holy Shit. Run niggers, run!”
Paladino speaks for the entire Republican party and their Teabagger, KKK base.
If you can go, GO!

Facing the Facts: Democrats Are Saving This Economy
I have often criticized Democrats in Congress and the President himself for showing weakness, turning their backs on their base and not being forceful enough in defending their actions.
I’ll continue to do so when it’s true and appropriate.
But one thing cannot be denied, together, against the tide of Republican obstructionism, they have pulled this economy out of the abyss George W. Bush and the former Republican majority put us in.
Economic Recovery:
The recovery cycle runs in ups and downs. As we go along, the ups get higher and the downs level out. Anyone who has been paying attention has seen with their own eyes that we have Stocks down one day, then up the next. Unemployment up one week and down the next. As we go along, the ups get higher and the downs level out.
The 2001 Bush Tax Cuts for the wealthiest 3% left this nation with a 1.3 Trillion dollar deficit. Under Democrats, that deficit has been reduced by 8%.
According to the Washington Post, if the trend continued for the rest of the year it would mean the annual deficit would be $1.3 trillion – about $300 billion less than the administration’s projection two months ago for 2010.
Retail sales are up across the board (not just Mao-Mart and Target) and going into gift-giving type holidays, that’s a damn good sign.
Actual Gov’t Census Docs are HERE
We’re not recovering as fast as we would like. There will still be ups and downs so more needs to be done. But we are genuinely recovering and there is no denying that fact.
Compare that to the condition we would be in if John McSame and Sara shit-for-brains had been elected and we should be partying in the streets and giving thanks for the fact that unemployment isn’t 25%. Because that’s likely where we would be were it not for the efforts made by Obama and the Democratic majority.
The Keystone Research Center in Harrisburg, PA has determined that unemployment would be somewhere around 16% were it not for the stimulus package passed by Congress last year. Given the fact that research think-tanks tend to be cautious in their estimations, I say it would be more like 20% to 25% by now.
Here in Bristol, TN…Touchtone Wireless is hiring like crazy and machine shops all over the area are adding second and third shifts due to heavy workloads.
We’re on the right track and that’s all there is to it.
Maintaining Economic Recovery:
As we speak, Congressional Republicans are threatening to filibuster against Obama’s proposed revisions of the Bush Tax Cuts of 2001. Essentially, Republicans are willing to allow tax cuts for families who make under 250′000 to expire in an effort to save tax cuts for the richest 3%, aka, their masters.
The GOP has vowed to keep tax cuts for the rich, which as we read previously, resulted in the 1.3 Trillion Dollar deficit Obama and the Dems inherited from the Bush administration.
Ezra Klein of the Washington Post explains the numbers in a comprehensive fashion…
More needs to be done to put the numbers involved in extending the Bush tax cuts in context, so consider this: There is no policy that President Obama has passed or proposed that added as much to the deficit as the Republican Party’s $3.9 trillion extension of the Bush tax cuts. In fact, if you put aside Obama’s plan to extend most, but not all, of the Bush tax cuts, there is no policy he has passed or proposed that would do half as much damage to the deficit. There is not even a policy that would do a quarter as much damage to the deficit.
The stimulus bill, at $787 billion, would do about a fifth as much damage. But that’s actually misleading: The stimulus bill was a temporary expense (not to mention a response to an unexpected emergency). Once it’s done, it’s done. An indefinite extension of the Bush tax cuts is, well, indefinite. It will cost $3.9 trillion in the first 10 years. And then it will cost more than that in the second 10 years. Call that number Y. And then it will cost more than Y in the third 10 years. And so on and on into eternity. Comparatively, the stimulus bill is a tiny fraction of that. The bank bailouts, which were passed by George W. Bush and the Democrats in 2006, will end up costing the government only $66 billion. The health-care bill improves the deficit outlook.
Republicans and tea party candidates are both running campaigns based around concern for the deficit. But both, to my knowledge, support the single-largest increase in the deficit that anyone of either party has proposed in memory.
You will hear the argument that “extending tax cuts for the wealthiest 3% creates jobs". That is a lie.
The rich DO NOT create job growth. The Middle Class however does.
When a middle class Americans goes shopping, they create demand which creates jobs. Busy businesses need more employees, new shifts, more materials or products to work with and sell.
Most who read this know what it’s like to work. More employees, drink more coffee, the coffee vendor’s sales go up, they hire more people. Etc. etc.
When a middle class American needs the plumber or the electrician, they commission another middle class American to fulfill that need.
It’s middle class Americans who buy cars and houses and refrigerators and the like for retail prices. Not the wealthy. The wealthy 3% aren’t that many people.
70% of the economy depends on middle class American consumers.
If you believe that we need to give the rich $700 billion of our money so that they will give us jobs in return then you have been brainwashed into believing that the wealthiest 3% are far more economically important than they really are. Unless, of course, you’re a Conservative politician.
Class warfare is the wealthy holding a gun to the head of the middle class and telling us “give us $700 billion or we will kill all your jobs” I say fuck them. The middle class spends it’s money in the U.S. while the wealthy spend more of their money in foreign countries.
It’s getting better. Don’t allow some Teabagger type traitor to make a fool of you. Democrats have always been better for the US economy than Republicans. The same holds true today.
Ron Ramsey: Of Land Scapes and Sour Grapes
Just had to mention this…
Not long ago, before the Republican primaries, I was forced to write about a giant billboard ad that Little Ronnie Ramsey put up on Volunteer Pkwy…
Pic taken prior to Republican primary.

….Question is, why is the ad still there on September 15th?
Pic taken on Sept. 15 2010

Yep. As I look out the window of my business I still am being forced to suffer the view-killing, buzz-killing, creepy countenance of the LOSER of the Goobernatorial Republican primary.
This has gone beyond irritating and arrived at disgusting. No, not just his mug, but the fact that he seemingly cannot accept that he was thoroughly trounced and moved to the basement along with the rest of the Teabaggers.
According to Bristol City manager, Jeff Broughton (a great guy btw), no ordinance is being violated.
….Only my eyes.

Phil Roe: Hiding From The People Of District One
Briefly, Congressman Phil Roe wants to invite you to a “Health Reform Forum"…but there’s a catch…
Catch is, it’s only for the wealthy and available. As you can see, the event takes place on Friday at 9am. A day and time that most of our citizens are at work and real small business owners, like myself, are busy running the show.
This is a typical Republican act of cowardice that was to be expected from the likes of Roe. Too afraid to engage in honest debate, Roe attempts to make sure that the average working citizens and shop owners cannot make it.
Of course, there will be nothing but the lies I have exposed and explained to you in previous posts, but it would still be nice if Rep. Roe actually gave a rat’s ass about what the average Joe has to say about it.
But alas, it’s only for Roe, his corporate handlers and the wealthiest contributors he can scrape up. This is the “small business makes 250′000+” crowd. 250′000+ is NOT “small” business. The Emporium, Mountain Aire, Lilly’s Market… WE are small business. We have been left out of Roe’s “forum” because we know that only Democrats are concerned with what we need for our businesses and our employees.
Vote Mike Clark for Congress. Because lies don’t create jobs.

Summary of Current Events
The tree is again ripe….
1) Bonfire of Vanity:
Some fake-christian preacher in Florida is planning on burning Korans as a publicity stunt. The hypocritically named Dove World Outreach Center church and it’s asshat dictator, Terry Jones, have riled General Petraeus and many others by putting our troops and American civilians in further danger.
“I strongly condemn that … I think such actions are in a strong contradiction with all of the values we stand for and fight for,” NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen told reporters in Washington.
U.S. Army General David Petraeus, the U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan, and Lieutenant General William Caldwell, commander of the NATO Training Mission in Afghanistan, also have spoken out against the church’s plans.
They said it could undermine President Barack Obama’s efforts to reach out to the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims and trigger retaliation against U.S. forces in Afghanistan.
Now, I don’t have a problem with certain Muslims being offended because they are quick to offend in the same way and are the champions of it.
But Christianity, Jerry Jones, is based on FORGIVENESS! You fucking idiot.
Hitler burned the Torah, Israelis burned the New Testament, and now you burn the Koran. Who is going to win this pointless pissing match?
That’s some “World Outreach” you have there, dickhead. Nothing makes Christianity look worse than a fake preacher that’s full of foulness and demonic principality.
2) Shrooms are Growing:
Professor Charles Grob, from the LA BioMed research institute in Los Angeles, California, has conducted experiments that reveal the fact that psilocybin (good ol’ magic mushrooms) relieves distress and the need for pain medications in cancer patients.
Everything you need to know about Mushrooms can be found at EROWID.ORG
Question is, why did it take this long for some scientist to find out what us psychedelic folk have been telling the world for decades?
Talk about a day late and a dime cap short.
3) Weed is Growing:
A recent scientific study has determined that Marijuana relieves pain and other symptoms of chronic neuropathic ails.
Question is, why did it take this long for some scientist to find out what us psychedelic folk have been telling the world for decades?
Talk about a day late and a doobie short.
4) Democrats in Difficulty?
Tennessee blog To Move a Nation raises the question for the upcoming midterm elections.
Democratic politicians have no one but themselves to blame if Repigs get the upper hand.
Polls mean little or nothing at this point. Exit polls are the only reliable polls. But Democrats have alienated a large part of their base by turning in half-assed accomplishments and needlessly embracing the Right.
The only way Republicans can win is if Democrats fail to turn out to vote. And right now that seems likely.
On the other hand, Democrats are still well ahead of Repigs on funds and most swing voters still remember who is responsible for the woes we are facing. No one wants Republican rule again, not even some Republicans.
Republicans will make gains because they will likely win seats in Republican districts that Conservative Dems won previously.
Their gains will not be significant because they will not win a veto proof majority.
Just the same, Obama and especially the DNC are failing miserably to give the Democratic base any reason to spend the day voting. Tim Kaine has lost the DNC. He has failed to nurture young voters and he has failed to promote our party’s values in all 50 states.
Tim Kaine is a disgrace to Dr. Dean’s legacy and we can only suggest, yet again, that he resign.
Beyond that…
Senate Democrats are out-raising the NRSC by 8% so far and retain the advantage in cash on hand. Democrats have added a number of new PACs to their donor list and have raised 30% more from PACs than the GOP. Dems have also successfully lobbied GOP-aligned PACs to donate to Democratic candidates.
Democratic donors are energized by Teabaggers who whore for corporate interests and keep nominating Right-Wing extremist candidates.
5) No Parole From Rock n Roll:
A slimy little maggot-fuck by the name of Mark David Chapman was recently denied parole in the State of NY.
Chapman, the coward who murdered and martyred legendary poet and musician John Lennon, will have to remain in prison until his next date with the parole board.
According to Yoko Ono, it’s better not only for us that Chapman remain locked down, but it’s better for him too.
Yoko Ono says John Lennon’s killer should stay behind bars - for his own good.
The widow of the Beatles legend Monday said she asked parole officials to deny freedom for Mark David Chapman because a Lennon supporter might seek to take revenge for the slaying.
“It’s dangerous for him to come out,” Ono said. “Not only for us, but for himself.”
Right you are, nice lady. Right you are. ![]()

Phil Roe's Truthiness Woes Pt. 5
North East Tennessee’s fountain of misinformation, Congressman Phil Roe, is once again overflowing. The whining about “Obama!” and “Democrats!” continues……
From the desk of Rep. Phil Roe:
Congressional Democrats’ ineffective economic policies prove that we need to go back to the drawing board to find a solution that works. The economy and job creation still remain my top priorities, as our country has an unyielding 9.5 percent unemployment rate. I have three solutions that will bring us closer to economic recovery.
Oh, really? This should be interesting. This would make Phil Roe the only Republican in history that had a solution for anything.
To stimulate the economy, we need to implement tax cuts for businesses and their employees. True economic stimulus puts money back into the economy by returning more to job creators and entrepreneurs. Tax cuts will have a direct and meaningful effect. All one has to do is look at how economic growth was jumpstarted after the 2003 tax cut to dividends and capital gains - which actually increased government revenues. There is no question we need to lower taxes for people at all levels of income, from our job creators to our friends and neighbors who have fallen on hard times.
This is interesting. So you’re saying you support President Obama’s tax cuts for small businesses, Roe?
Wow…you handled that like you did the funding for the High-School in Morristown. You praise the funding and in the same breath, condemn it’s source.
Wacky….really wacky for that matter.
In fact, Dr. Roe, you just recently voted “NO” on legislation designed to do exactly what you claim to want done…
HR 5297
S Amdt 4519: Establishing Small Business Lending Fund and Amending Tax Laws
Issues: Budget, Spending and Taxes, Business and Consumers
Date: 06/17/2010
Sponsor: Rep. Frank, Barney (D-MA)
Roll no. 375
Bill Passed
(House)
How members voted
(241 - 182)
Representative Roe voted NO
I see….vote “NO” because the idea is Democratic, then steal the idea as your own. Very original, Mr. Plagiarist.
And just in case anyone missed the thinly veiled attempt to advocate for extending the Bush Tax Cuts for the Wealthiest 2%, I’ll notate it…
“we need to lower taxes for people at all levels of income"…
Let’s see…next on the bullshitometer…
Excessive regulation and taxes are a deterrent to business expansion and income. While balancing the federal budget by reducing spending, we must lower corporate and individual tax rates to promote greater savings and investment. Both the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts need to be extended permanently.
Lower corporate taxes? But Phil…It is a proven, irrefutable fact that a majority of corporations rarely pay taxes at all. I just love how you throw the word “individual” in every time you pitch for your corporate Bubbas. Lord knows that your constituency will never catch it without someone like me pointing it out.
Bush again? Phil, you really are a mixed up puppy, aren’t you? It’s easy to tell when you’re lying on behalf of the RNC, but it’s still difficult to figure out if you’re lying to yourself at the same time. In fact, your own site says this about you…
Phil Roe | Physician
Phil attended his hometown college of Austin Peay State University,
graduating with a BS in biology and chemistry in 1967. He then
attended medical school at The University of Tennessee College of
Medicine, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. As a physician,
Phil ran a successful medical practice in Johnson City for 31 years,
delivering nearly 5,000 babies.Phil Roe | Veteran
After graduation from medical school in 1972, Phil served our nation
in the U.S. Army as a Captain in the 2nd Infantry Division at Camp
Casey in South Korea. He was promoted to Major and honorably
discharged in 1974 after earning the American Service Medal, Korea
Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
But oddly, your Congressional site says…
A native of Tennessee, Phil was born on July 21, 1945 in Clarksville.
He earned a degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Austin
Peay State University in 1967 and went on and to earn his Medical
Degree from the University of Tennessee in 1970.
Sooo, did you graduate in ‘70 or ‘72? How many years did you attend? Your Tennessee Department of Health Licensure Verification bio says you got your license in ‘71. But “upon graduation” you served in the Army for two years. Was that from ‘70 to ‘72 or ‘72 to ‘74?
Either way, how did you get your private practice license in ‘71 unless you got it before enlisting?
You’re a pretty confusing guy, Phil. Ah well, never mind.
Rovie continues…
The federal government should reward the entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and risk-taking that comes with starting small businesses. We must incentivize investment in existing businesses that will lead to job growth by reducing the amount of unnecessary and burdensome regulations that tend to manifest into the form of needless paperwork.
I’m a small businessman and there is no regulation placed on me, Phil. You must be talking about BIG CORPORATIONS who pollute and foul our waters with oil etc…And have you been to the gulf coast, Phil? To see what your “deregulation” has done?
Have you seen the missing mountaintops of the South, Phil?
How ’bout the Harriman TVA coal disaster, Phil?
Here, take your family to play in this beautiful, scenic spot in middle Tennessee.

I’m not sure who’s dumber, you or the people who vote for you. I got your deregulation swingin’, Philly. Look at that pic. That’s what your party did to Harriman, TN and that’s what you are more than willing to do to the rest of our state and our country.
I also believe we need more incentives to attract students into science and technology in order to promote innovation. This way we are investing into our future generations, prolonging stability as a nation. As we try to spur job creation, we must have some policies that aim to position our country to compete in the global economy, and it’s clear we’ve been falling behind in these areas. To maintain the United States as the innovation leader, we must encourage this development now.
Incentives for students? Obama beat you to that one a year ago, moron. Stealing Democratic ideas again GOP guy? What a sad existence it must be.

So you co-sponsored H. R. 470 did you?
In order to make these solutions a reality, I have cosponsored H.R. 470, the Economic Recovery and Middle Class Tax Relief Act. This legislation contains a number of common-sense tax changes that will promote economic growth and overturn decades of misguided policy. Allowing our workers and families to keep more of what they earn and save, while giving entrepreneurs and smalls businesses incentives to grow, are the best ways to stimulate the economy. Tax cuts, along with incentives such as tax credits for capital investment, are a vital step toward jump-starting our economy.
Although there are some merits associated with this bill it is nothing more than a return to the previously failed Bush/Cheney policies. The primary focus of this legislation is restoring the Tax Cuts for the Wealthiest 2%. It offers nothing to get a failing economy up and operational again. I do see some merit in operations loss carry-over as well as an easement on 401K distributions, but there’s nothing there than helps out of work Americans get jobs. This legislation only provides incentive to Americans currently working and does nothing to stimulate, or even allude to, additional job growth. Trickle Down does not work, Phil. That’s why Reagan failed so miserably. I mean, it works for the rich, but not for the “Middle Class".
H. R. 470 is a fraud and anyone with a high school education can read it and determine that. That’s why it’s been bounced around since 2007 and no one has been stupid enough to fall for it.
Once again, Phil Roe. You just can’t seem to deliver anything aside from three or four year old legislation and continuing whining about the Obama Administration.
You are a failure, Phil. That’s the bottom line.
MIKE CLARK for CONGRESS. Because whining doesn’t create jobs.
