It’s being reported that Rahm Emanuel will resign Friday.

You were one of four of Obama’s worst mistakes (Lieberman/Biden/Kaine). You stood in the way of the Public Option we wanted and are responsible for orchestrating the inter-party obstructionism that caused the Health Reform legislation to fall horribly short of what it could have been.
You were the one who pushed the White House so far to the Right that Democrats will be lucky if a handful of Progressives even bother to leave the comforts of their homes to cast a vote in November.

Because of you, only our benevolence will save Democrats in November. IF we choose to show it.

Your advisory role is a miserable failure. You looked away from the party’s core supporters and embraced those who would never vote Democratic under any circumstances. You are a grotesquely ignorant humanoid and I thank God that your useless ass is going to be Chicago’s problem and not mine.

If Obama really wants to jump-start the base he’ll pick either Howard Dean or Russ Feingold to assume the advisory role. Either of them are twice the man you’ve ever been.

UPDATE:

It seems that Obama has picked Pete Rouse, his #2 adviser, to replace whatshisname as senior adviser. At least in the interim.
Could have been better, but the fact is that Rouse is an actual Liberal.
He’s a very intelligent free-thinker with lots of credibility on the Hill.

At this point I can’t complain.
