AMAZING!!!!!!! Justice in Texas
Amazing that justice was finally found in a place where it all too often is absent. A Texas court of law….
Anybody remember an asshat from Houston by the name of Tom Delay?
Today, a Texas jury finally convicted former Republican Rep. and #2 House leader during the dark years, of Money Laundering and Conspiracy.
Delay faces 5 to Life for his crimes and abuses of office and the public trust.
Adios, “Hammer". I’ll send you a case of KY for your birthday.

From USAToday:
A Texas jury has convicted former House majority leader Tom DeLay, once one of the most powerful Republicans in Congress, on money laundering and conspiracy charges.
DeLay, a former No. 2 House GOP leader, faces five to 99 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 on the money laundering charge.
He appeared shocked, according to the Austin American-Statesman, when jurors reported their findings one by one. Sentencing is set for Dec. 20.
The lawmaker known as “The Hammer” was indicted in 2005 on charges that he illegally sent $190,000 in corporate money through the Republican National Committee to help elect Republicans to the Texas Legislature during the 2002 election cycle.
The legal case in Texas caused DeLay, majority leader from 2003 to 2005, to leave Congress in 2006.
The former exterminator was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from a suburban Houston district in 1984. He rose to power as a leader of the 1994 Republican Revolution, which saw the party take control of the House for the first time four decades. DeLay earned his nickname, “The Hammer,” for his hard-charging style and way of convincing donors to give to the GOP.
Although DeLay had won his GOP primary in 2006, there were signs that he was in a tough fight for another term because of his legal woes.
Under Texas election law, corporations are barred from contributing directly or directly to candidates running for office. Prosecutors alleged that DeLay was engaged in a conspiracy to launder money as well as money laundering.
DeLay, 63, had maintained his innocence throughout the three-week trial. The jury began deliberating on Monday and took 19 hours to reach its verdict.
Just another Teabagger criminal.

Obama's Disgraceful Pandering to Israel
The Israeli Gov’t has proven to be one of most bloodthirsty regimes in modern history. They are a terrorist state if ever there was one.
Recently, they managed to take Barack Obama to the cleaners by gaining far too much while offering absolutely nothing but more lies and deceptions in return….
Obama/Clinton fucked up big time, plain and simple. Question is… Why?
That’s simple too. He wants to be seen as more of a pro-Israel kinda guy than the Republicans. What we have in Washington is a new competition to see which party can spread their ass the widest for Israel. And we, as tax payers, are paying a very heavy price for it.
And one can only imagine the price some civilians in Iran, Palestine or Lebanon will pay in the future.
REAL FISCAL STUPIDITY:
One thing that really forces me to show the epic disdain for the Teabaggers that I so often do is that they whine like spoiled children over a stimulus package that kept us out of the worst financial disaster of our time, but not a word about the single dumbest business transaction of Obama’s tenure.
Recently, the Obama administration made a deal to transfer 20 of the most sophisticated fighter aircraft ever made to the terrorist state we call Israel.

The F-35 Stealth Fighters are a bargaining chip that’s being used to bribe Israel (something that turns out to relatively easy) into TEMPORARILY ending Zionist expansion into Palestinian territory.
Why is Obama an idiot for allowing this deal to go through? The rundown is pretty easy to chart…
The US Taxpayer will subsidize the Israeli acquisition of these dangerous aircraft to the tune of Three Billion dollars.
We already give Israel 3B a year as it is.
In return we get a temporary freeze on Zionist settlement expansion. Temporary….
That doesn’t even include East Jerusalem and the illegal settlements being erected there.
The United States will argue on behalf of Israel’s Zionist aggression at the United Nations and block recognition of Palestinian statehood.
In other words, we arm a terrorist state with aircraft that will probably be used to murder countless civilians and could be turned on us at any time, and we gain nothing other than a bigger hole in the American taxpayer’s pocket.
All for the sake of promoting “peace” talks that the Terrorist, Benjamin Netanyahu, has never intended to honor and never will.
This is like buying a car for 20 grand and selling it the next day for 20 dollars…Something only a moron would do. Well, a moron or a shameless politician.
It is truly sad enough that this gov’t is so willing to arm terrorists with state-of-the-art death machines. It’s even more sad that the terrorists get them on the American taxpayer’s dime.
This is the epitome of FAIL.

Pelosi for Minority Leader in a Fucking Landslide
I just can’t help but wonder if Heath Shuler and the few remaining Blue Dogs in the House and Senate finally GET THE FUCKING MESSAGE…

From The Washington Post:
Nancy Pelosi chosen to lead House Democrats as minority leader
By CHARLES BABINGTON
The Associated Press
Wednesday, November 17, 2010; 2:39 PMWASHINGTON – House Democrats elected Nancy Pelosi to remain as their leader Wednesday despite massive party losses in this month’s congressional elections that prompted some lawmakers to call for new leadership.
She defeated moderate Democratic Rep. Heath Shuler of North Carolina, 150-43, in secret balloting in a lengthy closed-door gathering of House Democrats in the Capitol.
Understand this, BlueDogshits, you interfered with the Party’s agenda and obstructed the will of the majority. You cost us our base and now you pay. Get in line or be abandoned at the polls.
The message could not be more clear.

David Frum: Post Teabagger Nation
Don’t misunderstand, David Frum is a scumbag and a PNAC, Zionist Pig traitor. He deserves to be dragged out into the street and stomped on until there’s nothing left but a mud puddle.
But when you’re right, you’re right.
David Frum describes perfectly how and why the Republican/Teabagger House Majority has no chance of accomplishing fiscal improvement, unless they stick with the Obama/Democratic plans for economic recovery.
If you haven’t read this yet, you should. Especially if you’re an intellectually challenged Teabagger type who has nary a clue about economics in America….
From the NY Times:
Republicans lost the presidency in 2008 in large part because of the worst economic crisis since World War II. Republicans have now regained the House of Representatives for the same reason. In the interval, Republicans ferociously attacked the Obama administration’s economic remedies, and there certainly was a lot to attack. But the impulse to attack, it must be recognized, was based on more than ideology; it also served important psychological imperatives. Not since Jimmy Carter handed the office to Ronald Reagan — arguably not since Herbert Hoover yielded to Franklin Roosevelt — had a president of one party bequeathed a successor from another party so utter an economic disaster as George W. Bush bequeathed to Barack Obama. And while the Bush administration took wise and bold steps to correct the disaster, the unpopularity of its Troubled Asset Relief Program bequeathed the Obama administration a political disaster alongside the economic disaster.

Heath Shuler: Anatomy of a Quisling
Keeping Nancy Pelosi as minority leader is indispensable to maintaining Progressive power in the Democratic party.
There are those in the party who are jumping at the chance to prevent her excellent leadership from enduring. What few Blue Dog Democrats are left after the mid-terms are jumping on the FOX band wagon and parroting the lie that their removal was a result of public displeasure with Pelosi. That is a lie, and we’d like to introduce you to the turncoat to whom this lie belongs…
BlueDogshit Rep. Heath Shuler, NC-11.
Heath Shuler has designs on Pelosi’s minority leadership position. He must be stopped.
Shuler is a liar and a coward. Not to mention a professional and political failure of epic proportions. One of the few BlueDogshit Democraps remaining in the House, Shuler was a major enabler of Republican opposition to the robust version of the Public Option that a majority of Americans wanted to see included in health care legislation.
This shows just how ignorant and spiteful Shuler is because the Blue Dogs that opposed the Public Option were largely purged in the mid-terms due to the fact that no Democrats showed up to vote for them.
Progressives who championed the PO did very well in the same elections. That’s the tale of the tape.
Shuler claims that “a moderate voice” is needed in the House, but the problem is that Shuler is not a “moderate". He is a Right Wing asshat that has a voting record that’s Right of some Republicans.
Shuler voted “NO” on The Stimulus Package that prevented this country from entering the greatest of depressions. He voted “NO” on the landmark Health Reform legislation and actively obstructed the Public Option.
Shuler voted against extending unemployment benefits, and…, although he professes to be a “small businessman", he voted against tax relief for small business.
There is no more misguided of a fool than one who votes against himself.
Shuler’s top political contribution sectors tell us much about him…
Finance/Insur/RealEst $140,900
Ideology/Single-Issue $98,750
Misc Business $92,100
Health $80,350
Corporately owned, Conservative ideology driven.
How Shuler even managed to get elected remains a mystery. His history of failure is well known by many.
Including Heath…
From the Washington Post:
Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) said Tuesday’s election results were so bad that Democrats need a new leader who can recruit top-notch candidates in the conservative-leaning districts where the party suffered its steepest losses.
“We weren’t successful with me as quarterback, so I lost my job,” said Shuler, a former Washington Redskins quarterback whose team won four games and lost nine with him as a starter.
Right, Heath. But to compare your failed professional Football career to Nancy Pelosi’s very productive political career is almost as big a joke as your Quarterback rating (56%)and that’s generous.
Shuler, who couldn’t seem to complete a pass or score a TD unless playing against teenagers, was a standout at UT. Then he went to play with the MEN and came off the field wearing a dress.
Throwing twice as many interceptions than completions in his short, laughable NFL career Shuler managed to earn the 2004 ESPN 17th biggest ’sports flop’ of the past 25 years award.
Guess what, Heath. Progressive Democrats are proud to award you the political equivalent. Congressional Representative Flop of the Decade.
Face it, Heath, you suck. And I wouldn’t mind kicking your ass if you read this and care to stop by since we’re so close geographically.
The fact is that Nancy Pelosi personifies the views and beliefs that a vast majority of Democrats, Greens, and many independents espouse. And you do not.
You represent failure, Heath. Hell, you’re lucky Nancy Pelosi didn’t play for the Bears. She would have sacked you ten times in one quarter. Like just about everyone else did.
![]()
Oh, almost forgot…
Heath Shuler was one of the members of the C-Street “Family” and was as involved in the sex scandal and other unsavory aspects of that insidious institution as anyone.
Shuler as a leader? I’d rather have Basil Marceaux or Jimmy McMillan.

More Positive News About the Midterms
While many sit and sulk for no reason, I think it noteworthy to mention a few benefits associated with Dems losing the majority in the House…
First and foremost, the Teabaggers lost the big ones and failed to win control of the Senate. Their primary target was Harry Reid and he won in a landslide. Christine O’Palin, their sweetheart and resident witchy-poo, lost so badly she hasn’t been seen since.
Democrats are still firmly in control of the gov’t and there are lots of opportunities between now and the next round of elections.
Teabaggers actually caused these losses for the Republicans. A very good sign that their reach is limited to Conservanoid districts and that most Americans see them as the asshats they really are.
Second, we managed to rid the House of BlueDogshit Democrats who have been constant enablers of Republicans and a roadblock in the path of progress.
The BlueDogshits were reduced to 26 members from 54. Of the 34 who obstructed the Public Option and Health Reform in general, only 12 remain.
Why? Simple, low turnout amongst the bulk of the Democratic base. The youthful voters (18 - 29 yos) who made up 18% of Obama’s support in ‘08 made up only 9% in the mid terms. The black vote was reduced from 13% to 9%. Liberal Dems who are sick of getting stabbed in the back by pragmatic jerkoffs simply stayed home.
The Left didn’t vote. I did, and I urged others to. But I really can’t blame the Greens who sided with us in ‘08, and they were many, for walking away this time. I wouldn’t have voted for a BlueDogshit either if one was on my ticket.
People like Blanche Lincoln should have known we would never support her no matter who she ran against.
Progressives? Tragically, we lost Senator Russ Feingold and the great Congressman Alan Greyson. But the 80 member strong Progressive caucus lost only three.
So we did turn out where there was someone worth a flyin’ fuck to vote for with a few exceptions.
Apx 1.5 Million of those voters who supported Obama in ‘08 did not turn out. So you can drink all the Main Stream Media Kool-Aid you like, the facts are the facts.
The “people” did not show “uneasiness with Obama and his policies". This was not a referendum on Health Care legislation being passed, it was a referendum on not enough being done and the obstructionism of the BlueDogshits.
This was the Democratic base saying “we’re not satisfied".
Blue Dogs are gone, Progressives remain, and we have nothing but Teabagger morons to fight in the next round. Give these twits enough time to make even bigger fools of themselves, and we’ll pound them into the ground.
So be of good cheer, Libs. ![]()
…And start fighting the new “majority” and supporting Progressive candidates TODAY. Right NOW.
You can begin with emailing every member of the Democratic minority and demanding they support Nancy Pelosi for Minority Leader.
Especially that punk, Heath Shuler, who has his BlueDogshit eyeballs on her leadership seat.

Send in the Clowns...Don't bother, they're here....
House Republicans are already proving that they’re the exact same idiots they were when the American majority kicked them to the curb in ‘06 and ‘08….
1) Rep. Michelle Bachman, moron, Teabagger skank and terminally disgusting carbon-based life-form from MN-6, told CNN news that Barack Obama’s recent trip to India cost taxpayers 200 Million dollars.
I would call her a liar, but as the article reveals, she’s too stupid to be that creative…
The White House and Pentagon have fielded questions about the Indian report and have dismissed the claims in the article.
“I will take the liberty this time of dismissing as absolutely absurd this notion that somehow we’re deploying 10 percent of the Navy, some 34 ships and an aircraft carrier in support of the president’s trip to Asia,” Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell told reporters this week. “That’s just comical. Nothing close to that is – is – being done.”
While the exact cost of Obama’s 10-day trip to Asia is not known to the public, an examination of similar presidential excursions in the past support the likelihood that the $200 million-a-day figure is exaggerated.
For example, an 11-day trip by then-President Bill Clinton to Africa in 1998 involved about 1,300 people cost $5.2 million a day, according to the federal Government Accountability Office, which adjusted for inflation.

2) Rep. Eric Cantor, the Gerbil-faced scrawny geek from VA-7, couldn’t seem to explain how the House Republicans would handle economics.
Cantor became very defensive when pressed on the issue. VIDEO HERE
Rep. Eric Cantor can’t explain to either Rachel Maddow or Lawrence O’Donnell what the Republicans would cut to balance the budget and pay for the Bush tax cuts he wants to see extended other than to say they’re going to reduce “discretionary spending to ‘08 levels".
He didn’t seem to happy with Lawrence O’Donnell pushing him about how he and John Boehner were going to respond when they get forced to either face the wrath of the “tea party", a.k.a. their right wing base when they’re forced to make the choice between raising the debt ceiling or crashing the economy.
As NE Tennessee’s champion of Democratic Values, Mike Clark, would say…” ah, Reality, how painful thy sting..”

3) Rep. John Boner, the whiny, joined-the-Navy-during-Vietnam-and-managed-to-get-himself-medically-discharged-in-only-eight-weeks new House majority leader, has been punked again. This time by Rosanne Cash, daughter of the legendary Man in Black Johnny Cash.
Boner, who made an incredibly lame joke that involved mention of Johnny Cash, was repudiated by Miss Cash in unmistakably Cash fashion.
Rosanne Tweeted: “John Boehner: Stop using my dad’s name as a punchline, you asshat.”

She said “asshat”
Wonder where she heard that….

Sorry, Orange Boy. But there are things that even six coats of Tan-In-A-Can can’t protect you from.

Phil Roe's Truthiness Woes Pt. 9
Well, you didn’t really think that the election results would stop us…Did you?

Phil is lying still, he just changed accents. Via Phil Roe’s e-mail….
Looking Forward
On Tuesday, the America people sent a message to the leaders of our nation, through the power of their vote – they reject the bailouts and wasteful spending that only hurt our economy over the long run. Too many have fallen on hard times and are still trying to rebuild after one of the worst recessions we have ever seen in our lifetime. This new Congress has an obligation to restore the health of our economy and get America back to work.
Wrong, Philly Boy.
“the American people” sent no message. Obama’s base did not turn out due to alienation and the people who spend Koch bros money are not “the American people". They’re a collection of corporate Fascist vermin and the idiots who follow their orders.
And if you think that low-lifes like John Boner and Rand Paul have any interest in doing anything positive you’re a bigger idiot than I thought you were.
To stimulate the economy, we must extend all of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, which included income tax cuts for all Americans, lowered dividend and capital gain tax rates, death tax and marriage penalty elimination, and an expansion of the child tax credit.
I support extending all of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts and ensuring our current rates are carried forward. In order to send a message that this Congress is concerned with sustaining the health of this economy, this Congress should immediately extend those important tax extensions, because it is my belief that the worst thing we can do during a recession would be to raise taxes on our job creators and to increase the cost of capital.
There is no way to reduce the deficit without letting the Bushtard Tax Cuts expire. That is simple math. When you take money away from the gov’t the deficit goes up. Bush proved that as his tax cuts for the super-rich led to the recession we’re just pulling out of.
Sorry, Phil. But civilization cannot exist without taxes balanced with the expenditures. Even the fucking Romans knew that.
Then comes the lie: At the end of the paragraph Roe intentionally likens removing tax cut to raising taxes. The tax cuts were designed to expire, letting them do so is not “raising taxes".
I also believe we should incentivize businesses to stay in America by cutting the corporate tax rate, which is among the highest in the developed world. Businesses can and do choose where to locate manufacturing facilities based on the economic climate, and we’ve lost too many jobs overseas because of an uncompetitive tax structure. American workers can compete with anyone given a level playing field – it’s time we deliver.
Ok whoa, dickhead.
Taxes are NOT the reason giant corporations send our jobs overseas, cheap exploitable labor and lack of regulation is why Republicans outsource the jobs of Americans.
Furthermore, these same corporations pay far less taxes than the average American. Often, none at all. In 2009, GE and Exxon paid nothing. Not to this country anyway….
As you work on your taxes this month, here’s something to raise your hackles: Some of the world’s biggest, most profitable corporations enjoy a far lower tax rate than you do–that is, if they pay taxes at all.
Exxon, GE Paid No Taxes Last Year
None of ExxonMobil’s income taxes were paid to the U.S. last year.
From Forbes (your fellow Right Wingers)
The most egregious example is General Electric. Last year the conglomerate generated $10.3 billion in pretax income, but ended up owing nothing to Uncle Sam. In fact, it recorded a tax benefit of $1.1 billion.
The true impact of government-controlled health care combined with the prospect of rising tax rates and energy costs have created an atmosphere of uncertainty for business. When businesses are uncertain about the future, they don’t hire additional employees, and they don’t order new equipment to expand their operation.
What “business"? Not mine. In fact your sniveling little meat-puppet buddy, John Boner, is trying to repeal the plan the enabled me to afford insurance for my employees. I’m real small business, moron. Single owner with a net BELOW 250`000. The big businesses you refer to as “small” are not. You just don’t want to help TRUE small business. Republicans never do.
That’s why, as a businessman, I despise those pricks at the Chamber of Commerce. The fact is, they are totally useless for small businesses. I know this from experience, fool.
We are a nation of strong and dedicated Americans, so what we rebuild together will be greater than what was before. If we work together and adhere to transparency throughout the rebuilding process, I believe we will triumph and find success.
By “we” you mean you and your corporate owners, right? Because if the average, hard-working American has to pay a third of his or her earnings just to have health coverage, as we did before reform, you and your corporate owners will be the only ones getting ahead. At the expense of the American people.
You’re a liar. Plain and simple.
Nov 3 '10
Make no mistake, Democrats still run this country. The Senate is ours along with the veto pen. But we are slightly wounded so the fight only gets harder from here…
The time to get nasty is long overdue. We are at war.
The American People vs American Corporations.
Big Corporate is the enemy. But even with their unlimited financial resources all they could manage to accomplish is the normal changing of Congress once a new President is elected.
MEDIA:
Problem is, media is corporate. They will only promote corporate interests. That’s the only reason that a group as insignificant and wacky as the Teabaggers managed to get anywhere. They are Koch bros. corporate AsstroTurf, corporations stick together better than people do unfortunately.
Right now, we need to start doing what Howard Dean did and what Tim Kaine failed to do. We need to start nurturing the youth vote and showing them why they are so important. That means 16 and 17 year old future voters.
Democrats are pro-people, Republicans are pro-corporate. That’s the truth and should be the message.
Tim Kaine and the DNC allowed the Right to lie about the Stimulus Package and the Health Reform legislation unopposed. That type of failure is unacceptable. In Tennessee, Chip Forrester and the TNDP failed in exactly the same way.
The progressive agenda is what brought voters out in ‘08. When that agenda was compromised we lost ground. We need to be us and stop trying to be them once elected.
I’ve said it a million times, pragmatism is a disease. And it cost us the House yesterday.
Nurture the youthful voters, be unyielding progressives and stay that way, give the DNC an enema and beg Dr. Dean to return.
Having our own TV station, like FOX only respectable, wouldn’t hurt either.
Enter the Northeast Tennessee Progressive network. We begin today to repair the failures of the pragmatists in the Democratic party. One step at a time.
Whosoever is a resident of North East Tennessee, we ask you to join us. Today. Not two weeks before an election, but one day after one. If you’re not from NETN, you’re still most welcome.
![]()
The facts have not changed. Democrats are the strength of this nation and Republicans are a pox upon it. Were that not true we would have lost the Senate. Even in a weakened state we still came out on top.
We’re a party worth fighting for, and we have no time to lose.

Rep. Phil Roe, the lying little maggot from TN-1 has defeated Mike Clark for that House seat.
That’s too bad because Mike Clark is a good man and Phil Roe is a piece of crap.

====================================
California’s Prop 19, intended to Legalize Marijuana in that state has failed. Other local initiatives have been successful.
It’s always a sad day when the forces of evil prevail.

====================================
Republicans have taken the House of Representatives. Democrats will retain the Senate majority.
What does this mean?
The Republican victories are barely significant if at all. Republicans will control the purse, but that’s all they will control.
The Senate and the White House are ours along with the VETO pen.
What has been accomplished is nothing but political gridlock. The Republican House will flop around like dying fish gasping for breath. Unable to put forth any kind of agenda and unable to repeal anything accomplished by the Democratic majority.
John Boner will whine, the chorus of WAAAAA! will be heard the world over, and this congress will go down as the lamest of all time.
Unless….
The few Teabagger candidates that won will probably distance themselves from the extremist idiots that supported them. Moving quickly to attempt to govern from the Center and forsaking the dying horse they rode to victory on. Much like Sen. Scott Brown did.
All in all, this is a tremendous defeat for the Teabaggers that spewed about winning majorities in both chambers and repealing Health Care legislation. All that corporate money and all they could do is win the House which is the norm for the first mid-terms in any President’s tenure.
Insignificant. That’s what it is.
As for Dems, a few things have to change.
DNC chair Tim Kaine must resign. He waited far too long to mobilize the party and lost the youth vote that he should have been nurturing all along.
The Republicans established the lie that Obama had raised taxes when in fact he had lowered them. Tim Kaine allowed this lie to propagate without opposition. He never went public and offered the truth to voters. He relied on those who vote Republican to see this for themselves and only a fool would think that Republican voters had the intellectual ability to see through these lies.
The Teabaggers, admittedly, copied the methods of former DNC chairman Howard Dean. Too bad Tim Kaine didn’t have the awareness to do the same.
The answer?
We’re semi-fucked. But all in all we did a handy job of beating back the corporate billions and WE RETAIN CONTROL OF THIS GOVERNMENT.
That is the most significant thing to transpire today. As for tomorrow, we must begin immediately to galvanize the Democratic party and make the facts known to all. Our leaders must not waver on the progressive agenda as they have before. It was that wavering that cost us the House this day.
Most of all, as bloggers, we must proceed to rip apart the John Boner majority and drive them head first into the ground. Every little thing they do that is un-American and inhuman must be exposed. If the Teabaggers thought we were hard on them before, they ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
The Teabaggers were traitors and Fascist Pigs before this meager victory, and they will still be traitors and Fascist pigs after it.
And we’ll make sure they know it. Beginning now.

One Day Left
Tomorrow is it. Democrats lead Republicans in early voting in most races. We have to turn out bigger tomorrow too or we can say goodbye to health care, lower taxes, economic recovery and virtually everything else positive that has come about and/or begun in the last two years.
If you vote Democratic, for whatever reason, you have a duty to your country and people to perform on November 2nd. The only “polls” that matter are the ones in which you cast your vote.
Don’t be some lame-ass that sits out because Obama wasn’t perfect. Don’t be an idiot because Dems haven’t been progressive enough to suit you. What progress would you ever get from Republican Teabagger trash?
The facts are simple, Democrats are better than Republicans. And when we turn out we always win. Always.
Time to turn out. Bigger and bolder than we did in ‘08. I did my part, if you don’t, we’re fucked.
