With the possible exception of Texas, there is no more pathetic, offensive and down right blasphemous branch of the GOP than we have in the State of Tennessee.
Now, they even think Jason Mumpower is Jesus. Thank God that’s not true. I’d hate to think that all faith got me was an eternity at the foot of a Food City checkout line.
Tim Rudd, the dramatically gluttonous member of the TNGOP executive committee, recently sent out an email to his fellow idiots concerning the status of TN House speaker, Kent Williams, as a member of the TN Republican party.
A year ago, Williams, a Carter County Republican, joined Democrats in preventing Jason Mumpower from becoming speaker of the House.
Having Mumpower as SOTH would be akin to having Peewee Herman as your child’s nanny. So his thwarting was a very good thing.
Now, still whining and crying, Mumpower and the TNGOP are seeking to remove Williams from the Grand Ole Pussy rank and file.
Williams should consider himself honored. The only thing worse than being a member of the TNGOP is being a member of NAMBLA.
Actually, about the same.
Crown of Horns

But the really interesting aspect of this latest TNGOP face plant is the shockingly juvenile blasphemy they have indulged in.
Rudd, the glutton, has compared a Republican prayer session that Mumpower and Williams both participated in to the prayer Jesus gave at the last supper. Directly comparing Jason Mumpower, an idiot, to Jesus. Our Lord.

Then once again, Rudd compares Williams to Judas Iscariot which puts Mumpower in the sandals of Christ.
Thanx to our good friend, Elmer Gantry, for this very telling video…
The TNGOP’s exploitation of the savior is nothing new. That’s the only way they can get votes. By manipulating the faith of believers, and the blindness of fools, and lying their way to political gain. We saw this in it’s most raw form with miserably failed TN-1 Congressional Rep. David Davis. We see it with Mumpower, Ron Ramsey, saw it with Jim Holcomb. Any John Gregory-backed Taliban candidate is equally as guilty.
(Gregory+King Pharm+Thief+TNGOP)
Though the TNGOP is always good for a horse laugh or two, they are also very dangerous to the people of this state. When morons, thieves, liars and hypocrites are in charge, we get matching results.
The great state of Tennessee deserves far better than the amusing collection of miscreants and morally challenged goofballs that now make up our state gov’t.
So, TNGOP…And especially you, Jabba the Rudd. For all you do, this blog’s for you.

Don’t you just love signing up for Republican chain emails? You don’t have to read the news to catch their lies, just get on a mailing list.
Just received the latest batch of baffling bullshit that oozes from the gooey orifice we commonly refer to as The RNC.
This particular batch coming by way of TN-1 Congressional Rep, Phil “Dr. NO” Roe.
In Phil Roe’s most recent email he states….
“…However, the proposed legislation (HR 3200) before us in Congress will squeeze private insurance companies out of business by requiring them to subsidize the cost of care for those on government-sponsored care, which will eventually result in a government-run system, similar to those in England or Canada.“
First of all, Corporate Insurance Companies like CIGNA ect will be taxed. Those are not “small private insurance companies” like Buddy Crump out on the parkway. Nice try, Phil.
Second, England, for instance, pays for it’s health care by general taxation. Not with “insurance companies subsidizing it".
England has private insurance for those willing to pay for it.
Roe is either a liar, or he doesn’t even know what he’s talking about.
The fool continues….
“Because I know Americans have come to enjoy their ability to get the care they need, I just don’t think a single-payer system will work in America, particularly because care is only given if it fits within a budget. That is not what we are all about.“
Roe assumes all Americans get the care they need. He is obviously a sheltered, out of touch pansy. Or, he’s just parroting the RNC lies.
Then, he calls it “Single Payer". HR 3200 is NOT “Single Payer". HR 676 is.
Roe can’t even do his job as a congressman and know which legislation he’s talking about.
Then Roe says…
“particularly because care is only given if it fits within a budget. That is not what we are all about.“
That is an outright, bold faced lie. Insurance companies refuse care if it can’t be budgeted. Not the proposed system. That is a fact and Roe is a liar.
“That is not what we are all about.“
What we’re not about is Roe’s Satanic lies. This man goes to church every Sunday. Says he’s a “Christian".
Who Would Jesus Heal, Dr. Roe?
I double-dog dare you to answer that question.

Health Care Debate Continues
As we have seen in many recent national and local news stories, emotions are running high at health care town hall meetings. The government option has emerged as one of the most contentious elements of legislation taking shape in Congress. As I listen to each of you at town hall meetings throughout East Tennessee, it is constant reinforcement to continue fighting for your interests in Congress.
By reading the current health care legislation we have before us today in Congress and thinking about its potential impact, I know H.R. 3200 is bad medicine for this country and we should simply start over. It’s becoming evident many in Congress feel the same way, as evidenced by a recent CNN news story in which Rep. Allen Boyd (D-FL) said that it would be an ‘excellent idea’ to start over on health care. Congress has a real chance to work together – Democrats and Republicans alike – to create true health care reform for this nation that would not further increase our deficit, hurt small businesses or create a one-size-fits-all single-payer system.
Constituents all around the country are voicing their opinions in town hall meetings. As I have been saying, health care is not a partisan issue, it is a people issue. I truly believe that reforms and improvements are needed, ranging from finding ways to provide coverage for the uninsured to cutting fraud and waste. However, the proposed legislation before us in Congress will squeeze private insurance companies out of business by requiring them to subsidize the cost of care for those on government-sponsored care, which will eventually result in a government-run system, similar to those in England or Canada. Because I know Americans have come to enjoy their ability to get the care they need, I just don’t think a single-payer system will work in America, particularly because care is only given if it fits within a budget. That is not what we are all about.
In addition, there is a major cost concern that we’re facing with a government-run health care plan. This week in the Wall Street Journal, John Mackey – the CEO of Whole Foods – expressed that “while health reform is needed, the last thing our country needs is a massive new health care entitlement that will create hundreds of billions of dollars of new unfunded deficits and move us much closer to a government takeover of our health-care system.” I agree with him that we should work to achieve reforms by moving in the opposite direction—toward “less government control and more individual empowerment.”
Before Congress adjourned for the August District Work Period, I accepted the President’s invitation to go over the health care bill “line-by-line.” At a health care press conference even the White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs confirmed that a meeting would be set between me and the President. To-date, I have not heard from the President’s office confirming a time and date to meet, despite my continual outreach to have this meeting. I am awaiting the confirmation, and look forward to discussing this important piece of legislation with the President.
Because H.R. 3200 will ultimately affect every one of us, I am conducting several town hall meetings in East Tennessee to hear your concerns. Enclosed is a list of town hall meetings I have conducted or will be conducting for the remainder of the District Work Period. I hope that if you haven’t yet, you will be able to join me for these important Town Hall Meetings.
It seems that Bristol Tennessee’s Resident Right Winger, Jason Mumpower was taking his prospective assent to the speakership of the TN House a little too much for granted.
KnoxViews (GDrinnen2), Klienhider, Cara Kumari
It seems that Carter County’s Kent Williams-R just worked out a deal with a wounded Tennessee Democratic Party to pull a little presto-changeo on the new Republican majority and effectively, thankfully, prevented Jason Mumpower from becoming speaker of the TN House.

Our own Jason Mumpower

Rep. Kent Williams, a more moderate sort of Republican, had sworn to vote with his party concerning the speakership and the Republican go-to guy was Mumpower. The Republicans assumed Mumpower’s conformation was automatic.
WRONG!
![]()
In a bold and unusually courageous little move, Williams and the Democratic members of the TN House pulled what is, for all intents and purposes, a coup.
Williams voted for himself along with all of the Democrats. Effectively sending the Right-Wing extremist, Mumpower to the showers.
This brilliant move could be a factor in limiting Right-Wing power in Nashville as Williams will now need to repay those Dems that voted for him by assigning committee chairs who are not Right-Wing freaks.
“Kent Williams has betrayed his constituents and the people of Carter County in breaking his pledge - his signed oath - to vote for the nominee of the Republican caucus for Speaker of the House. He lied, in a quest for personal power, in league with Democrat Speaker Jimmy Naifeh and House Minority Leader Gary Odom, in their desire to retain power despite the results of the 2008 elections.” - TNGOP Chair, Robin Smith

Well, Jason. Better luck next time. Try not to take your eye off the ball if you ever get up to bat again.
And always remember, for all you do, this blog’s for you.

Congrats to the TNDP for finding it’s backbone.
It was close. 500 votes.
With the likelihood of a recount looming it seems that the Pig Extraordinare’, David Davis, has lost the TN-1 Repig Primary to Johnson City Mayor Phil Roe. And the congressional seat he disgraced as well.
U.S. House - District 1 - GOP Primary
239 of 239 Precincts Reporting - 100%
Name Party Votes Vote %
Roe, Phil GOP 25,916 50%
Davis, David (i) GOP 25,416 49%
Sabri, Michael GOP 325 1%
I hope these numbers hold up. That would mean the 116 Dems, Greens and other Liberals that we at TN420 solicited to pledge to cross over and vote for Roe in the interests of defeating the bastard Davis were significant.
To the Republicans that saw the error of their ways and worked to remove Davis, a rare but meaningful and sincere thanx.
If you pray, cross your fingers, whatever. Meditate on these numbers holding and finally being rid of the scourge that is the Jesus Pimp carpetbagger David Davis.
Pray hard.
What a circus. I wonder how many of them would fit in a Volkswagen.
It’s a sad state of affairs here in Tennessee, TN-1 in particular. This is the greatest state in the disUnion, we just need and enema (or maybe a douche) to wash out all the Stacy Campfield’s, Marsha Blackburn’s, David Davis’ and other such excrement/infection.
We, as a state, have that “not so fresh feeling".
What a bunch of clowns. Just a short expose on the ills and infirmities of Tennessee Republican leadership and it’s staggering incompetence and moral turpitude.
George W. Bush Hypocrisy Award Winner: Congressional Rep. David Davis R-TN1
This man is so foul he should really consider setting up his offices in Hell. He already has a one way ticket on the next Down-Bound express.
If going back to his first campaign and reviewing the way he exploited Jesus Christ for personal and political gain isn’t enough, one can always consider his anti-Troop, anti-Children, anti-Environment, anti- Freedom and anti-Christ voting record.
And if that doesn’t do it, here’s the latest offering to the ways of Baal from Congressman Davis.
Even the Right-Leaning Bristol Herald Courier couldn’t take it…
By Bristol Herald Courier Editorial Board

U.S. Rep. David Davis has said he sees nothing wrong with federal earmarks as long as the process is “transparent.”
So why won’t he reveal his 2009 earmark requests? Is he hiding further evidence of his slavish devotion to moneyed special interests? We don’t know.
Davis was one of just 33 House members who refused to disclose their earmark requests for the upcoming budget to the nation’s premier pork-busting group, Citizens Against Government Waste. That’s down from 94 House members who refused disclosure in 2008.
It appears that openness is catching on in the halls of Congress. Davis is just a bit slow to get the message. Perhaps he believes in transparency for others only, not for himself.
Davis, a one-term incumbent, saw his reputation tarnished earlier this year when it was revealed that he scored a $4 million earmark for a private company that donated heavily to his campaign. That chunk of pork went to BAE Systems, the defense contractor that runs the Holston Army Ammunition plant in Kingsport.
Davis defended his actions, noting that the munitions plant provides jobs for many of his constituents. This explanation would have been more convincing if Davis hadn’t pocketed the company’s campaign donations around the same time he was pushing the earmark. Such an arrangement looks like a quid pro quo deal.
The BAE earmark wasn’t the only one that Davis secured in the 2008 budget. Along with an Ohio congressman, he obtained a $1 million earmark for another private corporation, Seaman, to make collapsible urethane storage tanks.
He also brought home another $4.5 million in federal funds for a variety of local projects, including construction of a children’s hospital at Johnson City Medical Center, renovation of a church-affiliated food pantry in Hancock and Hawkins counties and work on the East Tennessee State University College of Pharmacy. On their face, these worthwhile projects will serve the greater good, but because they were funded through earmarks, they were not subjected to congressional debate. There is no way to determine whether they were the highest-priority projects in the region, state or nation.
Citizens Against Government Waste, a taxpayer watchdog group, objects to all earmarks for philosophical reasons. The group describes its mission this way: “to eliminate waste, mismanagement and inefficiency in the federal government.” The group is non-partisan but hews to a fiscally conservative policy.
Why do Tennessee Republicans vote for shit like this?
A tax break? Is that all you people care about?
So sad….
George W. Bush Hypocrisy Award Runner-Up: Ron Ramsey R-TN1 State Legislature
I knew Davis was scum, but Ron Ramsey? Poor, innocent little Ronnie Ramsey?
Just another local hypocrite with nothing productive to say, much less do.
Recently we at TN420 sent a few emails out asking simple, clear questions of candidates and other pols as we always do. That’s what helped us expose Harold Ford Jr. for the lying goof he is.
This time we inquired of Ramsey. Got more than we expected too.
The two questions were simple.
“…Could you please clarify your positions on the following issues? :
1) Medical Marijuana: Should it be legalized as medicine in it’s smoked form?
2) Stem Cell Research: Necessary for the common good, or morally unsound?”
Doesn’t sound too hard, does it?
The reply to the Medi-Pot question was expected. We knew Ron Ramsey was pro-suffering already.
What we didn’t know was that Ramsey is apparently against Embryonic Stem Cell Research and Implementation.

Priority: NormalDear Mr. Kona,
Thank you for contacting me! I am against any legalization of marijuana. The ease of abuse and dependency is too great. Stem cell research is a federal issue for the most part. However, hypothetically, I would be opposed to stem cell research if the cells come from aborted fetuses.
I am always interested in hearing from my constituents and listening to their needs. Please feel free to contact my office if I can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
Ron Ramsey
Heh, of course, the anti-Medical Marijuana excuse was nonsensical as it usually is with politicians, but the response to the Stem Cell question caught us by surprise. Especially since Ron Ramsey takes political donations from a company called Novartis. A pharmaceutical company that is preparing to undertake Embrionic Stem Cell Research…

Uh huh….
From Reuters:
Tue Nov 7, 2006 12:27pm EST
By Bill Berkrot
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Novartis AG (NOVN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research,
Stock Buzz) has begun testing the waters in the controversial field of
embryonic stem cell research in the hope it will be ahead of its
rivals when marketable therapies begin to emerge, the drug maker’s head of corporate research said on Tuesday.
“A company like ours must follow the field so when the
breakthrough happens and it starts to become commercially usable, we are already
there,” Paul Herrling told the Reuters Health Summit
by telephone from
Shanghai, China.
Herrling cautioned that
the research was still in its infancy and that
Novartis has dedicated
only a dozen or so primary researchers to the
technology.“We’re still very far from any drug discovery applications. It cannot
be a major research area for Novartis at this point – it’s too early,” Herrling said.Still, Novartis is one of
the first major pharmaceutical companies to
admit to involvement in
the embryonic stem cell field that has so far
been left to academic
laboratories and small biotechnology companies.“Many companies are very reluctant to talk about it because of the ethical issues surrounding it, but I’m sure all those companies that have a really strong innovation-based research culture are all doing something similar to what we’re doing,” Herrling said.
Because of fierce opposition to embryonic research from religious and anti-abortion groups, Novartis has established an external ethical advisory board to oversee its research in the field. But there is also great enthusiasm over the potential that embryonic stem cells can someday be used to regenerate specific tissues that
could be used to treat the likes of heart disease, diabetes, spinal injuries and neurological disorders.“In Europe, we are
working on specifically trying to differentiate
human embryonic stem cells eventually for use in neuro regeneration for (diseases) like
Parkinson’s and maybe Alzheimer’s,” Herrling said.In California, Novartis researchers are trying to understand how
undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells can be pushed to become
one kind of tissue and not another.
Did you Tennessee Republican voters know about this?
Doesn’t this fly in the face of all you believe? Do you believe in anything other than tax breaks? Why do you vote for these people?
Tennessee Republicans. Some things never change.
