Make no mistake, Democrats still run this country. The Senate is ours along with the veto pen. But we are slightly wounded so the fight only gets harder from here…
The time to get nasty is long overdue. We are at war.
The American People vs American Corporations.
Big Corporate is the enemy. But even with their unlimited financial resources all they could manage to accomplish is the normal changing of Congress once a new President is elected.
MEDIA:
Problem is, media is corporate. They will only promote corporate interests. That’s the only reason that a group as insignificant and wacky as the Teabaggers managed to get anywhere. They are Koch bros. corporate AsstroTurf, corporations stick together better than people do unfortunately.
Right now, we need to start doing what Howard Dean did and what Tim Kaine failed to do. We need to start nurturing the youth vote and showing them why they are so important. That means 16 and 17 year old future voters.
Democrats are pro-people, Republicans are pro-corporate. That’s the truth and should be the message.
Tim Kaine and the DNC allowed the Right to lie about the Stimulus Package and the Health Reform legislation unopposed. That type of failure is unacceptable. In Tennessee, Chip Forrester and the TNDP failed in exactly the same way.
The progressive agenda is what brought voters out in ‘08. When that agenda was compromised we lost ground. We need to be us and stop trying to be them once elected.
I’ve said it a million times, pragmatism is a disease. And it cost us the House yesterday.
Nurture the youthful voters, be unyielding progressives and stay that way, give the DNC an enema and beg Dr. Dean to return.
Having our own TV station, like FOX only respectable, wouldn’t hurt either.
Enter the Northeast Tennessee Progressive network. We begin today to repair the failures of the pragmatists in the Democratic party. One step at a time.
Whosoever is a resident of North East Tennessee, we ask you to join us. Today. Not two weeks before an election, but one day after one. If you’re not from NETN, you’re still most welcome.

The facts have not changed. Democrats are the strength of this nation and Republicans are a pox upon it. Were that not true we would have lost the Senate. Even in a weakened state we still came out on top.
We’re a party worth fighting for, and we have no time to lose.
Posted here because it’s too long and uncensored for the forums at knoxnews.com
Blogger Greg Johnson states that “Tennessee is poised to turn “Red". Funny, I thought this state has been “red” for decades. Even when it was “Blue".
Johnson’s piece is here, and he’s both right and wrong. Right on some details, wrong on the overall picture.
He begins…
Chip Forrester’s face will be brilliantly red on Nov. 2. Lincoln Davis could be a bit blush, too. Or he should be.
Forrester is the chairman of the Tennessee Democratic Party, and his redness of countenance will come from watching the electoral map of Tennessee go crimson in places that have been blue for a long, long time on a glorious night for his opponents, the Tennessee Republican Party.
I’ve written many times that Chip Forrester (TNDP Chairman) was doing nothing to promote Democrats. That’s nothing new at all.
Forrester seems to think that hammering Republicans, no matter how accurately, on the TNDP website would be enough to win. He never seemed to get that most (likely) Republican voters in this state couldn’t tell a keyboard from a Key Lime Pie.
The newspapers and TV are what gets attention here. He failed (albeit for lack of funds more than anything) to show the average voter why Democrats are better. You do that in the street, not on a web site.
But…that’s not why this state is getting Redder.
We have probably the most uneducated, uninformed electorate in TN of any of the other 49. An electorate that seems somehow drawn to liars and mindlessness.
Many of them FOXbots, if you will, who absorb Rupert Murdoch’s bullshit like sponges. Others, good people but unable to discern the ways of professional liars.
Phil Roe has lied through his teeth with every campaign mail-out and I have caught him in virtually every one of them.
(Google Phil Roe’s Truthiness Woes pts 1 through 7)
I sent him a link to every post along with a challenge to back up his mouth. He has cowered each time.
Liars like Roe tell TN citizens that they are being forced to buy health insurance they can’t afford. The fact is that given our median wage, a majority of Tennesseans will be exempt and our entire middle class will receive subsidies.
Mandatory Insurance? That was a Republican idea to begin with. To quote a Neo-Con named Stuart Butler, of the Heritage Foundation, who in 1993 stated the following whilst testifying before congress…
“…..This translates into a requirement on individuals to enroll themselves and their dependents in at least a basic health plan — one that at the minimum should protect the rest of society from large and unexpected medical costs incurred by the family. And as any social contract, there would also be an obligation on society. To the extent that the family cannot reasonably afford reasonable basic coverage, the rest of society, via government, should take responsibility for financing that minimum coverage.”
Democratic Idea? Nope.
Phil Roe never said a word about our mandatory auto insurance though. ![]()
But his lies are not the problem. The fools and hapless souls who buy them are.
Marsha Blackburn, for instance, is an idiot. Any edu-ma-cated person can see that clearly. But alas, a moron is a hero to another moron.
Yes, Marsha was one of the “Death Panel” Dimwits. Remember?
Stacey Campfield is a circus clown who managed to get ejected for acting like one at a UT football game. Yet people vote for him still. Even though they cannot point to one single thing Campfield has accomplished for his community. Much like Roe and Blackburn.
Yes, Forrester has dropped the ball in a big way, the entire TNDP has. The DNC as well, under it’s incompetent leadership (Tim Kaine), offered no support.
But it’s the people who go to the polls and cast the ballots that decide things (most of the time). And….well, they say stupid is as stupid does.
How many people do you think actually believe that “Obama is going to ban guns"? Even though he doesn’t have the power because the Supreme Court decides constitutional issues.
They said the same lies about Clinton and I still have my gun.
Uneducated electorates are to Republican politicians what a damp, dark basement is to mold. A place to thrive and multiply like so much fungus.
Didn’t used to be this a`way. I guess evolution isn’t all it’s cracked up to be because much of the TN electorate is clearly de-volving.
It’s ok to dump on Forrester, but try not to lose sight of the harsh realities involved. All too many people in this state just don’t know what’s good for them. And that’s a sad, sad thing that I take no pleasure in pointing out.
By the way, if you think Lincoln Davis is a Liberal, you need either a Political Science refresher course or a lobotomy. There will be no difference between Davis and a Republican. Never has been.
Love, kona.
This man is becoming an absolute expert in lying, bold-faced, to his constituency. Sad thing is, those who vote for him are either too stupid to fact check him, or too lacking in self-respect to care.
From the desk of TN-1 Republican Rep. Phil Roe…
EPA Policies Are Hurting Jobs, Economy
Since the Senate will not pass the flawed cap and trade legislation, the Administration is taking matters into their own hands, using the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as their lead enforcement agency. New regulations planned by the EPA could have detrimental effects to our economy – particularly causing a loss of jobs, impeding economic recovery and harming livelihoods.
Last week, I joined other members of the Rural America Solutions Group for a forum to discuss harmful regulations that may be imposed by the Obama Administration’s EPA and have already been championed by the Democratic leadership in Congress. Included in this forum were seven panelists from across the country who offered perspective and real-life examples on how these regulations could hurt job creation and economic growth. Overwhelmingly, the panelists agreed that EPA’s policies are overreaching, burdensome regulations.
Let’s see…no facts offered about how Cap&Trade is “flawed". I guess we just have to take the word of a proven liar on that.
![]()
Rural American Solutions Group? Why you patronizing, smart-assed little Gerbil-faced geek.
Why did you neglect to mention that this “group” was concocted by your fellow lying creep, John Boehner?
As the GOP website clearly reveals…
” Rural American Solutions Group Unveiled
Posted April 30, 2009
The Rural American Solutions Group will focus on developing solutions to address issues facing rural America. House Republican Leader John Boehner (OH), Rep. Doc Hastings (WA), Rep. Frank Lucas (OK), Rep. Sam Graves (MO) and other House Republicans unveiled the group today.
According to a press release, President Obama promised to hold a summit on rural issues in his first 100 days, but that has not happened.”Any chance you were concerned that this “group” would be seen as the dramatically partisan joke that it actually is as opposed to the citizen’s group you attempt to present it as?

By all means, please proceed Dr. Boy-Who-Cried-Wolf…
The heart of the EPA’s regulation would be a backdoor national energy tax that will ultimately kill jobs, stop economic growth and raise the cost of energy, food and transportation. They would also double the current regulatory standard on farm dust that would make tilling a field, operating a feedlot or diving farm vehicles impossible - bringing the agriculture sector to a standstill. A representative from the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation said, “Farmers and their way of life and livelihood have never felt more challenged or threatened than they do today by the continuous onslaught of regulations and requirements from the Environmental Protection Agency…. The cost they represent will impact the economy as a whole, and this committee should not be surprised when our economy contracts and jobs are lost to foreign competition.”
Lying dog. Where do I begin?…
Fearmongering has always been a GOP staple when they don’t have an substantive argument. The EPA is entertaining lots of possible measures for making our air cleaner and our water safer to drink. Nothing is carved in stone yet and Farm Dust measures are far more complex than Mr. Roe might tell his intellectually challenged constituency.
FARM DUST: There are measures that large farms and other industries can take to greatly reduce farm Dust emissions. Farm Dust is inevitable, but it’s also a major health and environmental hazard. The EPA will assess the situation and do what is best for all concerned.
I challenge Rep. Roe to offer any factual evidence that the EPA is Obama’s personal revenge machine or that they have actively implemented any of the extreme measures he implies.
Farm Dust can be kept at a minimum and I’m confident that most farmers do their best. Corporate farms, on the other hand, probably are more likely to cut safety for profit as it is with most corporate entities. Dust emissions do require a certain amount of personal responsibility on behalf of the farmer/CEO…
“Try engineering and administrative methods first to cut dust emissions. Use good ventilation in enclosed spaces such as barns and silos. Look at how you dispense materials around the farming operation and change them to reduce the dust emissions. For example, automated feed machines, mechanical waste removal systems, and wet spray methods can all cut dust emissions. Use proper storage methods and consider changing bedding materials, feeds, chemical fertilizers, etc. to low-dust options.
When you have identified and implemented dust reduction techniques, note the remaining tasks and work areas that create dust exposures. These are the job tasks that may require respiratory protection such as a nuisance dust mask or, for more protection, an air-purifying respirator.”
“Bring agriculture to a standstill"….What an idiot. Like Democrats don’t eat.
Fearmongering dork.

“Jobs lost to foreign competition"…. The GOP has been outsourcing American’s jobs for many decades and they are the fathers of it. This sounds especially hypocritical coming from a congressman WHO JUST VOTED AGAINST ENDING TAX BREAKS FOR COMPANIES THAT SEND OUR JOBS OVERSEAS.
HR 4213 facts HERE and HERE.
Phil Roe is all about creating jobs, for the Chinese.
In addition, a new regulation on hydraulic fracturing – considered a safe, well-regulated natural gas drilling technology under the Clean Water Act – would greatly harm domestic energy production and kill thousands of energy jobs. New relegations on solid fuel-fired boilers have also been set, and could result in tens of billions in capital costs for upgrades, in turn costing thousands of jobs because of these losses.
That is a lie. The FRAC Act of 2009 was designed to force mining and drilling companies to disclose the contents of the liquids they use to invoke “Fracturing".
First read the FACTS about HYDRO-FRAC and it will be easy to see the manipulative lies of John Boner’s puppy dog, Phil Roe…
“In June 2009 two identical bills named the FRAC Act were introduced to both the United States House and the Senate. FRAC stands for Fracturing Responsibility and Awareness of Chemicals Act. The House bill was introduced by Diana Degette, Jared Polis, and Maurice Hinchey. Bob Casey and Chuck Schumer introduced the bill to the Senate. These bills are designed to amend the Safe Drinking Water Act. This would allow the Environmental Protection Agency to regulate hydraulic fracturing that occurs in states which have not taken primacy in UIC regulation. The bill also requires the energy industry to reveal what chemicals are being used in the sand-water mixture.”
And……………..
“Some environmental and human health concerns possibly associated with hydraulic fracturing may include the potential mishandling of solid toxic waste, potential risks to air quality, potential contamination of ground water, and the unintended migration of gases and hydraulic fracturing chemicals to the surface within a given radius of drilling operations. The potential costs associated with possible environmental clean-up processes, loss of land value and human and animal health concerns are undetermined. New technological advances and appropriate state regulations are working to study and safely implement the process.
A well blowout in Clearfield County, PA on June 3, 2010 sent more than 35,000 gallons of hydraulic fracturing fluids into the air and onto the surrounding landscape in a forested area. Campers were evacuated and the company EOG Resources and the well completion company C.C. Forbes have been ordered to cease all operations in the state of Pennsylvania pending investigation. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has called this a “serious incident”.
Read the whole Wiki link and it will easy for anyone to see through the lies of Phil Roe.
I am all for clean air, and I believe government should ensure that companies are playing by the rules. But what we don’t need is any more ridiculous red tape in the First District and around the country that has not been authorized by Congress and will only harm job growth in our country. We need a federal government that will focus on creating jobs, and preventing tax hikes and getting our economy back on track.
Um, no you’re not, no you don’t and if “red tape” is more of a concern to you than the health of the people in your district then I submit that you, Dr. Roe, are a quack.
Not to mention a liar.
VOTE MIKE CLARK FOR US CONGRESS. Because Phil Roe doesn’t care about you.
After a slight break, Rep. Phil Roe R-TN-1, has still yet to find even one tiny scrap of truth to put in his campaign mail-outs…
From the diseased mind of Dr. Phil “NO” Roe….
Yesterday marked the six-month anniversary of the health care legislation becoming law. Since passage, reality is much different than the promises made by the Democratic Congress and by the Administration. The sobering reality of this bad legislation includes the risk of higher costs, rising insurance prices, and the loss of current health plans. Action must be taken to repeal and fix aspects of this legislation that will be detrimental to Tennessee and to our nation.
First of all, what kind of idiot gives legislation of this magnitude only 6 Mos to become established. Secondly, most of the provisions are not scheduled to take effect yet. Roe knows this and willfully ignores that fact. That’s what we normally refer to as Prevarication.
One example would be:
Ban on Discriminating Against Kids with Pre-Existing Conditions:
Before reform, tens of the thousands of families had been denied insurance each year for their children because of an illness or condition. Starting September 23rd, plans cannot discriminate against kids with pre-existing conditions. In 2014, no one seeking coverage can be discriminated against because of a preexisting condition. Up to 72,000 uninsured children are expected to gain coverage by banning insurers from refusing them coverage due to a pre-existing condition. Coverage for up to 90,000 children will no longer exclude benefits because of a pre-existing condition.
This is good, was promised and has become reality. That law in it’s self is worth the legislative effort.
Roe continues to lie….
As we learn more about the health care law, we see bad elements tucked away like the Independent Payment Advisory Board ( IPAB ) – a board that has a mandate to meet a budget. This will harm patient care because the only way to meet a budget is by delaying access to care or denying care altogether. Ultimately, this bad bill will not only reduce access to care, but it will also certainly reduce the quality of care because rationing is inevitable. This is not what I want, nor is it what the American people want – but the emerging details indicate that is what we’re going to get unless we act soon to change it.
A lie that is so blatant it’s almost amusing in a sad kind of way. Delaying or denying care is what Insurance companies do and it’s preposterous to state that those are the only way to meet a budget. Eliminating wasteful spending by Insurance companies and Hospitals is the best way to meet a budget. Of course, Roe never mentions what “budget” he’s attempting to refer to.

Roe mentions “rationing". Which is what Insurance companies do. That’s how CIGNA killed a child named Nataline Sarkisyan, with rationing. A standard poly amongst Insurance Companies to meet their “budgets” (while CEOs get multi-Million dollar bonuses)
Reform legislation actually prevents this kind of “rationing". Examine the video here…
Nice try, Phil. But you are a liar.
The American people have heard so much rhetoric by the President and his Administration, especially in the push to get the legislation through Congress. For example, in April, the President promised this health care legislation “will reduce the deficit by $1 trillion over the next two decades.” However, recently, President Obama’s Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) said that this legislation will increase health care spending by 6.3 percent annually and will cause health care to consume almost 20 percent of the our nation’s health care bill.
The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, and the Congressional Budget Office, soundly debunk this partisan drivel that Dr. Roe would have us believe.
Despite an official estimate by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to the contrary, some critics of the new health reform legislation — such as Rep. Paul Ryan and former CBO director and McCain campaign adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin — charge that it will not reduce federal budget deficits because it relies on budgetary gimmicks or games.[1] Careful analysis of these charges shows them to be misleading or inaccurate. They do not withstand scrutiny.
CBO estimates the legislation will reduce the deficit by $143 billion over the ten years from 2010 through 2019. [2] In the following decade, 2020 through 2029, it estimates that the legislation will reduce the deficit by an estimated one-half of 1 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), or about $1.3 trillion. CBO also anticipates that health reform “would probably continue to reduce budget deficits relative to those under current law in subsequent decades, assuming that all of its provisions continue to be fully implemented.”
So the only thing that would prevent deficit reduction in this case is Rep. Roe’s “repeal".
Roe lies more…
In June, the President told the American people that this legislation will “cut costs and make coverage more affordable for families and small businesses.” But now we’ve learned that the new law is causing health insurance prices to increase. The Wall Street Journal reported that the health care legislation is causing rates to increase up to 20 percent for some buyers. In Connecticut, rates are increasing 18 percent for small businesses and 14.2 percent for the self-employed, early retirees, and others who buy their own coverage on October 1, 2010.
No, idiot, insurance companies are increasing premiums for no other reason but their own greed. It has nothing to do with the legislation and these greed laden corporations will suffer if they continue to gouge….
From Kaiser Health News:
Sep 10, 2010
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Thursday said insurers who blame their rate increases on the new health overhaul could be excluded from health insurance exchanges and the 30 million new customers they promise, The Associated Press reports. “‘There will be zero tolerance for this type of misinformation and unjustified rate increases,’ … Sebelius said in a letter to the insurance lobby. ‘Simply stated, we will not stand idly by as insurers blame their premium hikes and increased profits on the requirement that they provide consumers with basic protections,’ Sebelius said. She warned that bad actors may be excluded from new health insurance markets that will open in 2014 under the law.” Sebelius sent the letter to insurer trade group America’s Health Insurance Plans. “The industry’s top lobbyist responded that the health care law is a factor behind higher rates, but not the only one” (Alonso-Zaldivar, 9/9).
The Wall Street Journal: “The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that some carriers are asking for total premium hikes topping 20% starting this month, and the carriers are attributing one to nine percentage points of the increases to new benefit mandates in the law. … [AHIP’s top lobbyist Karen] Ignagni, president of America’s Health Insurance Plans, said: ‘It’s a basic law of economics that additional benefits incur additional costs, and the impact on premiums depends on the type and amount of coverage policyholders had before.’” Sebelius said that later this fall, HHS will issue a regulation requiring state or federal review of all “potentially unreasonable” rate increases. “It’s unclear how much power that will give state insurance commissioners, who say there’s little they can do to stop insurers’ rate hikes if the companies can justify charging more for greater benefits” (Adamy, 9/10).
Looks like Dr. Roe was just debunked in perfect harmony. LOL, what a lying sack of shit.

If you recall, the President repeatedly promised that “if you like your insurance plan, you can keep it.” On September 21, 2010, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that next year, 1.2 million seniors will be forced out of the Medicare Advantage or Medicare prescription drug plan they have currently. In addition, nHealth has dropped all its customers because of this bill and is going out of business. Additionally, American National Insurance Company will not sell health insurance to early retirees, self-employed workers, and small businesses because of this health care legislation. Lastly, even regulations put out by President Obama’s own Administration show that up to 80 percent of small businesses may lose their current plans under the new law.
LOL!!!
No mention of the fact that seniors will now be paying only 50% of the cost of prescription drugs, huh Phillip?
Did you simply overlook that critical fact or did you just decide that your lie would be more believable without it?
You filthy little ingrate.
And only nHealth is to blame for being a failed company that specialized in high deductible plans and Health Savings Accounts. First, they had only been in business for two years. Second, they only employed 50 people at a call center in Ohio and third, these “savings accounts” were a Republican idea that the American people flatly rejected during the Bush years.
HERE(PDF file) is a letter sent out to their agents from James Slabaugh and CEO Paul Kitchen explaining how it was their own idea to fold the company because they couldn’t raise the capital to continue.
Yawn:
You’re a liar, Phil Roe. A low-life lying stooge who cannot even think for himself. Your rhetorical lies are a product of your fellow stooge, Dave Camp, on the Republican minority House Ways & Means. Camp, like yourself, is a liar.
The truth is here:
Ban on Insurance Companies Dropping Coverage:
Before reform, insurance companies could cancel your coverage when you got sick and needed it most because of a simple mistake on your application. Starting September 23rd, insurance companies are banned from cutting off your coverage due to an unintentional mistake on your application. Approximately 10,700 people’s coverage, whose coverage is dropped each year because they get sick or make a technical mistake on their application, will be protected under the new law.
Ban on Insurance Companies Limiting Coverage:
Before reform, cancer patients and individuals suffering from other serious and chronic diseases were often forced to limit or go without treatment because of an insurer’s lifetime limit on their coverage. Starting September 23rd, insurance companies can no longer put a lifetime limit on the amount of coverage they provide, so families can live with the security of knowing that their coverage will be there when they need it most. Up to 20,400 people who typically hit their lifetime limits on the dollar amount that can be spent on coverage, along with the nearly 102 million enrollees who have policies with lifetime limits, will no longer have to worry about hitting their benefits caps. The use of annual dollar limits will be restricted, and in 2014 will be banned completely. By 2013, up to 3,500 people will gain coverage as a result of the ban on annual limits that insurers impose on nearly 18 million people today.
Ban on Insurance Companies Limiting Choice of Doctors:
Before reform, insurance companies could decide which doctor you could go to. Starting September 23rd, if you purchase or join a new plan you have the right to choose your own doctor in your insurer network. Up to 88 million people will benefit from the provision that protects primary care provider choice by 2013.
Ban on Insurance Companies Restricting Emergency Room Care:
Before reform, insurance companies could limit which emergency room you could go to or charge you more if you went out of network. Starting September 23rd, if you purchase or join a new plan, those plans are banned from charging more for emergency services obtained out of network. Up to 88 million people will benefit from this provision.
Guarantee You a Right to Appeal:
Before reform, when insurers denied you coverage or restricted your treatment, you were left with few options to appeal. Starting September 23rd, if you purchase or join a new policy, you will be guaranteed the right to appeal insurance company decisions to an independent third party. Up to 88 million people will benefit from the new appeals process provisions by 2013.
Covering Young Adults on Parent’s Plan:
Starting September 23rd, young adults will be allowed to remain on their parent’s plan until their 26th birthday, unless they are offered coverage at work. Up to 2.4 million young adults, up to 1.8 million who are uninsured and nearly 600,000 who purchase coverage in the individual market, could gain coverage through their parents.
Covering Preventive Care With No Cost:
Starting September 23rd, if you join or purchase a new plan, you will receive recommended preventive care with no out-of-pocket cost. Services like mammograms, colonoscopies, immunizations, pre-natal and new baby care will be covered and insurance companies will be prohibited from charging deductibles, co-payments or co-insurance. Up to 88 million people will have access to preventive care with no out of pocket costs.
VOTE MIKE CLARK FOR CONGRESS: Because lies don’t make people healthier.
Just had to mention this…
Not long ago, before the Republican primaries, I was forced to write about a giant billboard ad that Little Ronnie Ramsey put up on Volunteer Pkwy…
Pic taken prior to Republican primary.

….Question is, why is the ad still there on September 15th?
Pic taken on Sept. 15 2010

Yep. As I look out the window of my business I still am being forced to suffer the view-killing, buzz-killing, creepy countenance of the LOSER of the Goobernatorial Republican primary.
This has gone beyond irritating and arrived at disgusting. No, not just his mug, but the fact that he seemingly cannot accept that he was thoroughly trounced and moved to the basement along with the rest of the Teabaggers.
According to Bristol City manager, Jeff Broughton (a great guy btw), no ordinance is being violated.
….Only my eyes.
We all know that the Insurance Industry is the single most corrupt, rip-off industry that exists. Hence the dire need for the Health Insurance legislation that was passed by congress earlier this year.
There is obviously still much more to do concerning reform. Looks like Homeowner’s Reform is a good candidate…
They call it “Acts of God". You pay the premiums, a tree falls on your roof and they deny the claim. Blaming “God” for the fact that they’re too greedy to pay.
That’s the Insurance Industry for ya, you spend your money and bet your well-being on their integrity, only to find out they have none. You lose.
Recently, retired Bristol Firefighter Rick Simpson returned home only to find that heavy rains had caused the back wall of his basement to collapse. Severely damaging the integrity of the structure and destroying personal possessions.
But, the Simpson’s have homeowners insurance. That should at least take care of the house, right?
Wrong.
Simpson, who buys his insurance from a State Farm branch operated by Jerry Green,……
2332 Volunteer Parkway
Bristol, TN 37620-6702
phone: (423) 968-9221
….was told that there would be no pay out because “God” did it.
My, how convenient.
This age old insurance scam should have been banned long ago, but due to the courage deficiency we normally find in gov’t, these flim-flam men continue to get away with their decietful practices.
Now, if you’re one who doesn’t believe in God, this should make you pretty mad. If you’re one who does believe, it should absolutely outrage you.
These lame excuses remind me of that blithering idiot, Pat Robertson, blaming Hurricane Katrina on God. Not only is it incomprehensibly asinine, it reeks of blasphemy too.
So today, because of “God", the insurance carrier feels he is without responsibility to deliver that which was paid for.
State Farm has a long history of such rip-off activity. From Hurricane Katrina to California Earthquakes and far beyond, State Farm Insurance is one of the longest running scams in the nation. “God did it"! I’ll remember to use that excuse when I get arrested for fighting in a bar the next time. “Honestly, officer. God punched that dude in the lips, not me.”
This incident with Rick Simpson brings this fraudulent activity down to street level so it’s easy for all of us to see that indeed, it could have been us.
So, Jerry Green and State Farm Insurance, for all you do this blog’s for YOU.
Rarely is there ever a respectable person from Sullivan County found in public office. There are a few, but we want to alert you to some exceptional jokers who happen to be running in the upcoming elections.
Bart Long:
Aside from the obvious conflict of interest generated by a guy in the real estate business running for Register of Deeds, it occurs to us that Bart Long’s fiscal responsibility may be very questionable.
Have you seen how many campaign signs this clown has out? Hundreds of them, all over the county. Thousands and thousands of dollars worth of signage….to get a job that pays around 30K a year?
Whats the motivation, Mr. Long? Real estate biz floundering? You could always fill Mumpower’s old job baggin’ groceries if it’s that bad.
But then again, the real estate biz must be booming. Thousands in signs? Who paid for that? You? Out of pocket?
If it’s that good, why Register of Deeds? Surely there’s more money in selling old houses.
Pathway to Planning Commission where you can really drop the hammer on your competition?
I understand that Bart Long is “very proud” of his Republican affiliation. That by it’s self is cause to question Long’s ethics. There is nothing for a Republican to be proud of unless failure has all of a sudden become en vogue.
Vote Duncan for Register of Deeds.
Timothy Hill:
You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.
Timothy Hill is simply a punk. Just like his brother, his Bible exploiting daddy, his mentor, failed Congressman David ‘Jesus Pimp’ Davis and his benefactor, the thief John Gregory (Tennessee Conservative PAC).
They are all fake Christians that exploit the faith of others for personal and political gain.
The entire family are corrupt, unethical clowns and should never be involved in public service in any way.
They are all down for themselves and will never help anyone in this area in any way unless they profit from it.
Only an utter fool would vote for filth like this.
The fact that the Hills are ethically challenged is proven by the fact that they were caught removing unflattering facts (relationship to the thief John Gregory) about David Davis and Matthew Hill from Wikipedia. A behavior on the ethics level of plagiarism…
Timothy Hill, 28, is the brother of state Rep. Matthew Hill, R-Jonesborough, and the son of Tennessee Regulatory Authority Director Kenneth Hill.
In 2007, Timothy Hill was caught using a government computer to delete information in the online Wikipedia biographies of then-U.S. Rep. David Davis and Matthew Hill.
At the time, Timothy Hill was Davis’ press secretary and communications director.
Timothy Hill attempted to delete information about Davis’ and Matthew Hill’s ties to King Pharmaceuticals and its former CEO, John Gregory, a major contributor to Republican candidates and conservative causes.
Hill is also a John Gregory (King Pharm/United Coal) worshiper. Gregory being the thief that ripped TennCare and Medicare off for millions of taxpayer dollars.
The Tennessee Conservative PAC founded by Gregory is also located within the Leitner Pharmaceuticals Building. They are all from the same insidious ilk.
John Gregory, Ron Ramsey, David Davis, Jim Holcomb, the Hill brood, Bart Long?…..
Pure, Jesus exploiting filth.
Gonna vote for these scum, Sullivan County? Go ahead, show us just how fucking stupid you really are.
